My best experience living in a hostel. A great place that is close to everywhere. Very comfortable and the clean. It is the best hostel in Istanbul I believe, with great price and good quality. Ahmet the hotel owner is such a kind person and always invited us tea during the cold rainy days. He was so helpful in everything and sincerely cares us. As a student traveling alone in a country where I dont know anyone or almost anything, I feel so secured and home-like in Chambers of the Boheme. In the last few days I felt sad to leave and I would never forget the amazing experience in Istanbul. Definitely would go again and thank you so much Ahmet babam. I miss the time so much. ❤️❤️❤️

Perfect place to travel becouse it has wonderful location. Warm and nice people around with a reasonable Prince.

I stayed there for one week. In a very good place. They keep rooms tidy. Rooms are being cleaned everyday.

If I return to istanbul I'd stay here again. I stayed here at the end of june. Some parts of the hostel like bathrooms weren't perfectly clean but overally the place was clean and had a nice atmosphere, the owner was helpful and ordered food for me, and the staff working there were international and very cool people. It's inexpensive to stay here and completely worth it.

Perfect location for Istanbul trip. Right next top Istaklal Street and 3-4 mins walk from taksim square. Well furnished, neat and clean room with a very friendly host and staff. Number of good restaurants, cafes and shops at footsteps. Economic rates, would highly recommend.

Wifi, bathroom, toilet included. Cheapest price in Taksim. The owner is a very good man, helps a lot.

Hi guys.! I want to share my experience of being in that hostel for a while like 4 months First if I want to deceive this hostel by few words I have to say : 1 secured 2 friendly atmosphere 3 cheapest price 4 peace You know many peoples come here for few days like a week and they have good memories out of that but being here fore more than 3 months is kind of deferent story.! The first thing you will experience in this hostel is the kind 24 hours reception witch helps you by Luggage and open the door for you. I mean Mr. Ahmed Who is the one of few real grate wise clever gentlemen I’ve ever seen in my life.! Even in the Beginning he give you some advices to not lose your money in some bad places and deferent kind of help like giving you the best direction or his Stanbul cart to make a better and easier staying for you. Then is the rooms that I was supposed by them Because the have super clean traditional beautiful rooms in deferent numbers like privet-4-5-6-12 bedrooms. Its awesome. You ll feel that you are living i. Hotel not hostel.!

Owner was grumpy and the staff weren't helpful. Not a social hostel at all. Would not recommend the cheapest room to solo female travellers.

Logistically in an extremely touristy, but central and interesting part. It is an area with an Iranian and Kurdish garrison, there is little Turkish. The Iskitlal makes its figure, it is the avenue of the city in which it pours an ocean of people 7/24, in the surroundings there is everything. Several Metro, the wonderful district of Beyoglu, and Navigaze the district of nightlife. Bars and restaurants endlessly. Banks in the immediate vicinity. And so many other great and indispensable services all out to the palace. The hostel is unpretentious. We have the room from 4 and we pay €10 per night, of course it is a hovel but it is fine. On the second floor, standing alone becomes like private room with bathroom on the landing shared with another room (empty). That I know is among the best in the city as a hostel. Ahmet The proprietor is a great. He's always awake and cozy. To me the main problem was an Iranian guy who works with him. Devastantly unbearable. Stuff to send to jail. A person of an unacceptable annoyance. But he's volunteering here, and he's leaving soon. There is no kitchen and as a result there is no breakfast included. You can only take 4 Turkish lira coffee. However it compensates everything with the charm the Savoir do and its location. Highly recommended.

Price and location you have deserves this rating, if you go backpacking it is the best option you are close to the center of taksim and the metro and you can go.

The water was scheduled to be cut off for 30 hours starting from the day of our arrival, which is understandable, but the management did not notify us in advance. They denied any faults, refused to provide compensation or an apology. The man at the reception was only worried about how he will break the news to other guests. The bathroom wasn't clean and when the water did start running, the water pressure was so weak that it took 3 times the usual time to wash my hair. The building seems to be old and the stairs squeaky. I could hear people moving and talking late at night because the walls were thin. On the other hand, the bedroom was generally pleasant: clean and well managed with a small balcony looking down on the streets. Their lounge has self service black tea and comfortable chairs. The location is good because it is right next to Taxim Square. I could hear the party music from my bed at night.

The staff is amazing, they let me check I early and even upgrade me to another room. The room is cozy and clean and its located in the middle of Istiklal road so its really strategic.

Conveniently located hostel very close to Taksim. Rooms are fine. It's not the most social place.

Safe, clean, economic and cool place to stay. At the very center of Taksim. Close to metro and all other things that u will need. Owner "Ahmet abi" is good to talk with, he has also spent his years in America, Canada and England and knows how to run a hostel in Istanbul where is the only Capital of the World.

The best hostel in Istanbul! Nice location near Taksim square, so beautiful interior with vintage furniture and with owner who is making good coffee and sandwiches.

Great location, friendly staff and great value.

Fantastic location close to Taksim. Nice lounge area. Sadly that's pretty much it. The dorm room has 12 beds instead of 10 and is very dirty. The bathrooms stink and are filthy as hell. Noone seem to clean the room and the bathrooms at all. Even though there are like 4 staff they don't seem to do anything. Also be prepared for a lot of stairs to the dorm room. The air conditioning is not turned on and I got tons of mosquitos bites at night which somehow ruined my sleep when the windows are open. The Wi-Fi works only in the common area and there is no kitchen at all. I mean not even a fridge to store your fruits for example. I guess for 6 euros a night it's still a steal but just pay 2 euros more and u can find a much better hostel in the area.

Location is very good. Especially if you like night life. Staff and owner very friendly. And because I was staying in ramazan every evening we have free dinner. Good place to stay!

Hostel owner provide everything I needed. From luxury airport pickup, tour arrangement, bus to cappadocia, hostel in cappadocia etc. Tips given by host are essential for who first time in turkey.

I spent in this place few months and I can honestly say that it is the best hostel I have ever been to! The location is perfect, just in the heart of Istanbul so everything is so close, the owner is an amazing guy, extremely helpful and he really takes care about each guest. Moreover, the hostel's atmosphere is quite unique and the place is very clean in comparison to what I saw in other hostels (and I have been to many of them). I definitely recommend this place!

Place is okay but in the party district so lots to see and enjoy, very safe but not conducive to a good nights sleep.

Extremely well located hotel in the heart of Istanbul.
With all amenities at the bottom of door, public transportation (bus, taxi, subway, trolley) metres, this is the perfect place to stay serenity by combining both cultural visits and nights ambiancees!
Furthermore, the owner of the hotel is a really lovely, who really cares of the well being of its tenants and will gladly advise where to organize excursions for the success of your stay.
Probably the best value for money on Istanbul.

It was a great stay at the Chambers of the Boheme! The hostel itself has a great athmosphere, the beds are clean and the service is very good. Also Ahmet, the owner of the hostel, is a very friendly person, giving tips to get around Istanbul every time you ask him. I also had a look at other hostels around the area of Taksim and no hostel came close to the great feeling staying in Bohme. So I really can recommend the Chambers, if you go for a trip to the awesome city of Istanbul.

The Hostel 'Chambers Of The Boheme' is in a side street at the famous 'Istiklal Street' on Taksim Square. You will meet international people from all over the world. In this area it gives many international clubs (ARAF, Babylon and JollyJoker for example). You can walk to old Istanbul, where the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia is. It's too far for you, you can take the Tram at Karaköy. About the hostel It's very clean and cozy in the rooms. The owner of the hostel (Ahmet) speak english and gives advices about Istanbul. You can drink tea for free in the hostel. I have see a few hostels in the area, for me was 'Chambers Of The Boheme' the best choice. If you like to do party and smalltalk with international people, so I can recommend you 'Chambers Of The Boheme'. Btw, if you like to smoke Nargile (Shisha), so you have to go to 'Sadabad', it's next to the hostel, ask Ahmet. It's cheapest one in this area, only 8, 5 Turkish Lira (another costs more than the double price! ). Be careful and don't go inside to clubs and Nargile-area where persons stop you while saying 'come in'. If you need any tips, so write me a message. Have nice days in Istanbul, it's an amazing city.
