We stayed at Hotel Barbera whilst in Istanbul. Located in the old city it is central to a lot of attractions such as a the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The rooms were warm and homely and very modern. The staff were wonderful and hotel was very accomadating and hospitable. Special mention to Kemal who went above and beyond in making us feel welcome in Istanbul. Would recommend!

Location is excellent, you are close to almost every tourist attraction in Istanbul. The rooms are beautiful and modern. The personnel is very attentive to your needs. We highly recommend!

From the minute we arrived, Jenna the owner was very welcoming. Everyone was so friendly. Very nice breakfast — thanks to Gamze for her service. The staff treated us like a family. They helped us with directions and questions every day. I want to thank Kursad, Murat and Ediz for their friendliness and hospitality. The hotel is clean and very well kept. Jenna pays attention to the details. Me and my daughter were traveling alone and we felt very safe. The hotel location is excellent and accessible to all transportation. The rooms might run small but it was not a big deal since we were out all day enjoying the beautiful city. The hotel met our expectations. It is an American managed hotel with a traditional cultural spin — exactly what what we were looking for. We stayed for 8 days and the excellent service was consistent. Thank you for your service. I highly recommend this hotel!

Stay for 4 nights. It was above my expectations. Staffs are really nice and helpful. Room and location are great either. You can walk easily to any parts of the city. Metro and tram are within 1 minutes walk.

Very cozy hotel with modern architect that feels like home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and is served upon every customer's request with a small appetizers/deserts bouffet. The location is nice and quiet. Very near to the marmaray station and 3 minutes away from the tramway station. Lots of shops and restaurants are available within the area. Just a few minutes away there's a beautiful park and many historical places to visit.

Very friendly Hotel Room at the top and very well soundproofed. Excellent local food. Staff to the small care. I stayed there for a week and it was way too short. I'm going back as fast as I can!

"The world is yours — the best time is now" is exactly how I felt while visiting Istanbul but more importantly how I felt staying at the Barbera Botique hotel in the center of Old Town. At first, I was unsure if this was the best area to be staying but after the friendly staff gave me a full rundown of tours/ locations/ prices/ proximity of each destination to maximize each of my days here I was pleasantly surprised with how close everything was allowing me to come back to my… room mid-day. Anywhere in the US "included breakfast" is unhealthy and something I normally would head to a cafe for, however, the full gourmet breakfast I was served (may I add with my American picky almond milk latte request which they were able to deliver) beyond exceeded my expectations. Traveling for a long period of time I have struggled with sleeping and the comfort & cleanliness of beds/rooms in other cities hotels but I slept as if I was home in the organic cotton high thread count sheets & bed at this boutique hotel. Highly highly recommended! I will be back!

Jenna and her staff at the Barbera Hotel are a tribute to hospitality in Istanbul. There was no request to difficult from arranging shuttles, to visits to a Hummam, to tours and just about anything we asked them. We left for Bodrum and asked them if we could return without a prior reservation. We were provided with an upgraded room at the same cost of our original room. In addition we were allowed a late check out at 9:30pm because of our flight. The location of the hotel is in the Old City, in the Aalhimet area and the Fatih district which means we were within walking distance from the Spice Bazaar, the Hagia Sophia and all the other tourist sites. The hotel is clean and staff can converse in English. Having Apple tea available as an alternative would be the only suggestion I would have to improve their service. Otherwise it's an absolute must visit and is value for money.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2017 the hotel was very clean the staff where very friendly at breakfast the breakfast was amazing I loved the cakes Jena was very helpful and friendly. Good location near to every thing. Coming back again. Would recommend this to any one who's going to Istanbul The rooms are very clean the beds are comfortable.

A beautifully designed small hotel in historical part of Istanbul. Rooms are tiny but absolutely adorable, welcoming kitchen, extremely helpful reception. A perfect example of high tech hospitality.

Amazing location for all the main tourist attractions and next to the metro to access the rest of the city. Room is new and modern. Friendly staff with great tourist and restaurant recommendations. Great Turkish provided each morning. Highly recommended!

I and my wife have spent 5Tage in this hotel there is really nothing to fault the rooms are very tastefully decorated new and very clean! Breakfast was always delicious! The whole team is very friendly and eager to give also tips on what you can see and discover. The hotel is very centrally located the Hauptsehenwürdigkeiten are within easy walking distance, also the S-Bahn and Marmaray are a few minutes walk away. We would definitely come back! This unique hotel is located in the center of all the attractions and you can walk to Istanbul. Hotel staff was very friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Owner speaks English very well. Breakfast is traditional Turkey food and some American egg mix. Very delicious.

This Hotel was amazing from day one when my fiance and I arrived the staff was very Nice they came out and greeted us as well as taking our bags up to our room. The Owner Jenna was very sweet and very professional she was always very helpful The rooms are very clean and nice the breakfast I certainly got spoiled to its not your typical buffet breakfast it prepared upon request and served fresh every morning by some of the sweetest ladies. The hotel is very quite and in a great location especially if you want to go to the mosques and shopping. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.
