Stray Cat Hostel Hostel

One of the best hostels I've had the pleasure to visit. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly and are working towards an inspiring vision of community growth in the same breath. Ridiculously convenient location, definitely my new go to place every time I find myself in San Jose.

Awesome place, great location, extremely helpful and friendly staff who will give you great "local" recommendations. Bummer that there's no breakfast or kitchen for guests to use, but very affordable so it was well worth it!

A very good place to sleep and spend a few days visiting istanbul. Very good treatment of the owners.

We stayed at the Stray Cat Hostel for 3 days and it was amazing. — All the building had been painted by the visitors who slept there for few days and left their mark on the wall, making the whole hostel feel extremely more friendly and personal. — The room (double bedroom) had private bathroom and had always hot water. The wall radiator was on so we never felt cold and the bed was excelent. — The staff was very helpfull and super friendly as they where happy to help you with any of your questions and suggest lots of places to visit — Breakfast was simple but enough to get you going — The location was just 500 meters from taksim square making it just a 5minute walk just to get to the main street of taksim on foot — Price only 14 euros per night! I loved it and I suggest it to everyone.

One of the best places I've ever stayed! The staff are really what make the experience. Everyone is friendly and helpful-there was always someone to answer our questions and point us in the right direction for great things to do in Istanbul. Definitely recommend!

A memorable place with wonderful hospitality and close to all the must-sees in Istanbul. My partner and I have travelled there two times over two years and were more than humbled by the care we received at the Stray Cat both times ❤️

Very nice hostel, nice breakfast, tea and coffee at will. For those who want to prepare their own food kitchen is available. Showers and toilets are clean, the rooms also. I miss this hostel, it is very well located. A station of tram and bus to 3 minutes walk, a 5-minute metro station, the french Consulate in 5 minutes also where you can go have a coffee and eat at a good price. In short do not hesitate there for his money.

The Stray Cat is my favorite hostel in one of my favorite cities. It has an authentic backpacker's vibe, it's centrally located—a short walk to the Bosphorus, Istiklal, Taksim Square, the Galata Tower and the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art—and a great value. The guys that run it, Sedat and Chris, are really laid back, flexible, and occasionally drop a gem or two of priceless wisdom on you. Especially Sedat, a man who makes up for what he lacks in sleep with memorable, one-line aphorisms. Needless to say we got on famously. Can't recommend it enough.

Really cool hostel! Kittens come welcome you! It isn't fantastic either place but the comfort is nonetheless. To stay in reasonable budgets if you visit Istanbul you can go.

I stayed there for 5 days and I must say that is one very nice hostel. Owner was really ok and also bathrooms were as they should be! 5 stars ;).

The hostel keepers were very friendly and helpful. The hostel was clean, well centered and close to public transports and some touristic locations.
