➜ Great pension in traditional houses. Delicious and homemade meals + activities of all kinds thanks to the agency Kirkt Voyage.
We had the worst experience of our 3 weeks trip of Turkey and Ukraine here. The owner Osman had sold our fully prepaid room to someone else and bumped us off! for the first two nights. We had to wait in the road side shivering in cold ' cause the shuttle from the airport dropped us in some dump place which was probably 10 % of the room rate of Kirkit. We had to use all our contacts for osman to come and arrange alternate accommodation ; which we had to accept cause of the hopelessness of the situation and slipping sight seeing time. We moved in to kirkit on the third night and found the room with uneven floor and accident prone. His breakfast the following day was even worse — there was not even butter or jam! In his so called conti buffet. — he economised here as well! The list can go on. However Mehlut the driver / butler and guide out there, gave us a better feel of cappadocia and day to day life in that part of the world which indeed kept our moments at Avanos memorable. We recommend Duru instead. It's small but well managed, fantastic location and a very friendly couple running the place with a more than value for money bfast spread.
