Friendly, helpful staff, great location, safe, clean & totally delicious breakfast…

My husband and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary last weekend at Kapok and I must say it was well enjoyed! The staff was extremely pleasant and hotel was well kept/clean. The food was also very tasty!

1st time my family & I staying @ Kapok its awesome great atmosphere great people home away from home. 💯

My husband and I visited, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff. The guy at the reception desk was welcoming and very accommodating. We were able to check in earlier than expected, we even got a token in the room by a super friendly staff. The room was clean and neat, we visited Tiki village for dinner the view was breath taking, the staff were very professional and polite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a baecation or just family time… if I could have given them more than 5 stars I would.

I highly recommend as the staff makes me feel well at home every time I came here from NY and looking forward to my next visit since everything is open up in T&T.

I had the pleasure to host my wedding on April 3, 2021 at Kapok the events team Angel Jack and Keziah made my day so beautiful for my husband and I and our family the decor Keith Austin Petite weddings was so amazing the staff was dedicated, helpful and professional in all there duties. It is not a bad hotel. It has all the basic amenities… a bit upscale compared to other international accommodation for the same price. the peeves I had are: 1. Where is the local fruit for breakfast?
2. The "vegetatian omlette" is a chicken egg
3. Elevators system need to be segregated between guests and hotel staff.

My honeymoon stay at the hotel was exceptional … thank you Angel for accommodating all my desired request… My husband and I did not want to leave… ohhhh the breakfast was great and soul delicious… and so was the food at Kava Restaurant I love love the chicken wontons and everything else… We both loved our stay here… the rooms were quiet and soothing… the view from the balcony was great, we were so comfortable until we started calling there "home" by mistake… we even wanted to design our room just like the hotel room. Couldnt ask for more… I highly recommend Kapok Hotel.

Very great friendly customer service at the hotel and restaurant, clean and beautiful rooms, more than satisfied with the price and services for the daycation, my kids want to move in. Will be visited again soon.

For what it is very pricey for the hotel as it is only 3 star. You would still get the people staying other than that staff very welcoming and polite. Would stay here again.

Was told there would be an early check in at 11 on Saturday so I reached after 1 but didn't get a room until after 4. I had my 2 babies with me. Very bad service.

I luv the Kapok, this is my home away from home when I visit Trini. Stayed at the Hyatt & Hilton won’t go back. Staff is friendly, helpful, and will to go above and beyond for their guest, restaurant is delicious. Visit trini 3 or 4 times a year and will always stay @ Kapok. Will be visiting you soon…

Worse front desk customer service on saturday 15th September … my friend planned a little get together for her birthday… not a grand party just some drinks food and fun its 4 girls so we wasn't even going to be noisy … she decided to use your hotel as most people say the food tastes good etc… paid for the room and explained what she wanted. Next day when it was time to check in… the VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL front desk girl told her that she is not allowed to have guests and all of us are there (4 of us to be exact) with our bags everything in hand feeling embarrassed. I mean if you paid for a room with two beds why can't you have guests? … and the girl was so obnoxious… everyone was gonna pay for brunch the next day and so on so forth. Very disappointed… should have had zero as a review option… the 1 could probably be for ambience.

My stay at this hotel was wonderful … it's a case of don't judge the book by it's cover … there is privacy through out the hotel and the staff is kind… the only thing for me was the buffet style it lack variety.

Very good service. Need to regulate pool time. Have children time, couples time well defined in rules. Restaurant downstairs needs a pizza maker. They also need to be consistent with measurement. One day your soup contaner is the next day it is half and very difficult to identify. Hmmmm. Hats off to restaurant upstairs. 8th floor.

It was lovely. Friendly staff except for the breakfast staff. Breakfast was a general disappointment. The selection was not as vast as I was advised it would be. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.

Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the lobby level (1st floor) was awesome. Everything on the menu was delicious. Crab cakes were the best I ever had.

Location: stones throw away from the savannah, zoo and botanical gardens. Few minutes to Ellerlie Plaza and Long Circular Mall Room: nice and cozy. Facility: quiet and peaceful for couples and family. Restaurants on location, pool and gym facilities. Nice hotel located near the zoo and park. The dining facilities are gorgeous. They are located on the upper levels of the hotel and give you a nice view at night and a wonderful wake up in the evening. I landed late one night and they were able to accommodate my order since I was starving. The breakfast lovely as well. The rooms are nice size and have spacious showers. The pool was quiet when I was there. The bar downstairs offered nice tropical drinks and food. The bar staff was friendly and kept a nice conversation. There are little shops within walking distance.

Tiki Village restaurant is a great environment to dine with friends and family. The food was great and the service was excellent. The staff are very accommodating, especially when assisting diners with young children.

Food at Tiki Village was excellent. Some unusual choices like cauliflower pie that was scrumptious. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. They gave away our selected table though and this is the reason for the low review. If I am asked to select my table when I made reservations it is uncouth to give away the selected space because another group arrived earlier on the day.

Stayed here for 3 weeks, nice location, great front desk staff (Cristopher and Anisha), famous pizza restaurant below. They have gym, pool and TV in room. There is laundromat, drinking water dispensers, ice dispensers. The only thing which I did not like is the thin room partitions, I could hear people from my next room.

Location is ideal… close to shopping and food-if not eating in… the hotel food is good too. Accommodation is good in need of some minor updates in some areas. Staff is Pleasant… I enjoyed my stay… would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The staff was incredibly warm, courtesy and professional. The food was fantastic. We ate at both restaurants and were satisfied. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool, beautiful and those who want to workout, there's a small gym… overall, we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. I had a week of fun with my asian prostitute in the room. We had a threesome with one of the bell boys and he was damn fine son. I recommend that you visit during the carnival period and maybe we can meet up for an orgy or two?

I had the opportunity to have dinner at the famous Tikki Village restaurant the food was fantastic and the customer service is excellent.

Never actually stayed there but everyone seems very nice, attentive and informative. Tiki Village has amazing food but a little pricey.

I was very impressed by this hotel, the friendly yet professional staff made my experience unforgettable. As we pulled the car up to the main entrance, Mark the bellboy ran to our assistance. (From that moment on, he seemed to appear when ever we were in need. Up until we checked out, he was amazing. ) We entered the hotel, and all the staff members acknowledged us as we walked by. The check in process was quick and easy, the rooms were clean. Being on the sixth floor, we had great views from all around. The kitchen staff was excellent, from room service, to the bar, to dinning in the main restaurants. I was in a large group, and we keep them busy, I mean very busy, lol None the less, the service remained excellent from beginning to end. The only negative things I would say, is that the restaurant/bar hours are too short. They closed around 11 p. M. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel, we plan to use it when ever we visit Trinidad from now on (which is at least once a year) :)

TIKI Village Restaurant This restaurant is located in Kapok (red cotton) to the hotel, the top floor of 8 floor, through the glass tour of the prairies, the beauty, the restaurant offers snack food. Recipes include: shrimp dumplings, milk yellow bag, beef sausage powder, chicken feet, and Taro cake, burn, sell, etc. Lunch and dinner recipes include: sweet-and-sour shrimp, Singapore noodles, Mongolian beef, Sha-dad, chicken, white sauce, lobster, etc. Per capita consumption of about $ 200/person.
Early centre opening times: Sunday at 12: 00PM — AT 2: 30PM.

Front desk people very uncooperative and rude. They are definitely NOT there to HELP you. Anything you need they tell you yes tomorrow and the following day another person is there and tells you they do not know anything about it and do not even try to help. The service at their restaurant is very lame as well. You practically have to beg to be served and never a smile. I will never return to this hotel. It is on a very noisy road, their swimming pool is small as well as their gym place. I do not recommend it at all. 2016

Old, equipment in room and gym was broken and really bad breakfast. Will not go back.

Both the Tiki Village and KAVA didn't disappoint.

Hotel staff were a pleasure to be around, always smiling and saying hello. Having tried both KAVA and the Tiki Villiage neither disappointed. Cant go wrong with the oven baked pizzas down at KAVA, they are amazing. Tiki Village also provided great atmosphere and view and the food was fantastic. Next time Im back for a work contract I will be staying there again.

This must be the worst hotel yes! Invasion of privacy at our room. We had some people waiting in our to be picked up by a car and they refused to allow these persons to stay in our room. It was most distasteful. We will never choose this hotel ever again for anything… We were not doing anything wrong at the room yet they came several times to say the persons cannot wait in the room. Along with that other guests were being disturbed by us, which is not true because we spoke to another guest on that same floor.

No place like Kava around savannah! Coffees could be priced better and more range afforded on choices.

This hotel was wonderful everything was very well organized I must say and their breakfast at mornings wasn't bad. Placing of the hotel was great you could have just walked to go get something to eat with also the Queen's Park Savannah not far away you could have even walked to the zoo it was the best place for Kapok to be. Rooms were wonderful couldn't get any better once you were on that bed I promise you felt not to get up at all. The pool was very nice, well tiled, and well lighted with the small aquarium just not to far from the pool it was a magnificent place I must say.

The hotel is nice, stayed a couple of times. But KAVA is noice! Great food and ambience. I would be coming agaim and again.
