We loved out few nights at Matafonua Lodge. We came for the kitesurfing and it was brilliant. The beach was easy to launch from the winds were strong and clean and my partner could also use his foil in the lagoon.
We also did a fantastic scuba dive with 20 metres visibility and interesting Little Rock ledges and caverns to explore. Our guides were Quentin and the lovely Ella in the water with us. I felt safe and happy and had the best time. I was on a high after even thigh. It was pretty choppy on the ride out and back.
The fales at Matafonua were simple and clean. The separate toilet block was also clean and modern with excellent hot showers.
Transfers were taken care of with ease and no worries. Their little restaurant serves a variety of food and breakfasts including continental or hot cooked breakky. We also loved the divine meals at night including pork belly and Thai green curry. Our compliments to the new chef from Manchester and to him continuing his snorkelling adventures.
