Nice one hotel in Surat Thani, especially food, very delicious. Have a luxury room rent for meeting, married ceremony.

This is one of the well known hotels in Suratthani, Thailand. I find no flaw here regarding their services and amenities. Apparently Wangtai Hotel can accommodate a large amount of people, notably for a wedding banquet due to its large ballroom and abundant parking lots. I can't say for those who stay though. Food is good and is served with a wide variety. Interior is clean and relatively modern, comparable to decent hotels in Bangkok. Good choice if you visit here.

Clean and comfortable hotel at great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Decent restaurant but plenty of other eating options within walking distance. Convenient stop-over spot for ferries to Koh Samui and elsewhere.

Overnight on 21/12/2011 during motorbiking trip in Thailand after guided and recommended by local folk. Check in little bit late in evening. Comfortable rooms. Open parking space for motorbikes. Free Wi — Fi.

Nice big room. Decor was a little dated but clean and tidy with complimentary tea/ coffee and bathroom supplies. Hot and cold water with very good pressure. Tv had English language channels. Wi-Fi was fast for a big hotel (20mg) Breakfast was ok. Large selection of southern Thai dishes, plus a large selection of fruit. Plus the usual fried eggs and ham, bread etc. All in all no complaints. My wife and I also took a 1 hour foot massage in the spa on the ground floor. Contrary to a review I had read before visiting the hotel, I have to say that though a little expensive for Thai price (300 thb) for 1 hour it was up there with the best I’ve ever had.

Sad to say this was probably the worst experience we had in a month in Thailand. Someone recommended it on TripAdvisor as a good place to spend some time until the night train departs, as it has a restaurant and a spa facility which is opened until midnight. We ate some mediocre food and went to get a massage. The people were not very friendly and did not understand anything. I even pointed at my shoulders and said "back/shoulder massage please". She repeatedly confirmed and startet giving me a pretty bad foot massage. Apparently my boyfriend had an even worse massage experience. The people clearly had no idea what they were doing. When we didn't give much of a tip they became really unfriendly and stopped talking to us/ kicked us out. We then asked the guy at the reception if he could order a taxi for us to the train station and he said there were no taxis available besides one from the hotel (which was more or less a rickshaw). He demanded no less than 300 Baht for a ride of maybe 7 minutes which cost us 40 baht on the way there. We tried to negotiate but the staff started being condescending and said more or less: well we don't care, you won't find any other Taxi on the road here at this time so take it or leave it (e. G. We don't care that you have a train to catch and we are exploiting you being under time pressure). We took our chances and started walking towards the main road which the staff nodded off more or less arrogantly amused and implying our stupidity.

A landmark hotel for Surat Thani, the facilities are continuously renovated but there are still the old charm elements you can't shake.

The rooms are good, but the food is not. The dishes are really plain and kind off tasteless.

Large clean rooms that are fairly quiet. Reception is friendly. The restaurant has really good food, though pricey. The breakfast buffet (included in the room price) is very good with a ton of options both Thai and Western. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it can get busy with big groups. They can be overbearing, but that's not really the Wang Tai's fault.

Was just for breakfast here, which was great for just 150B. Highly recommended.

The outside looked beautiful and the lobby was very clean and nice. We got up to our floor and there was construction being done on an elevator at one end of the floor. There was a huge hole in the wall to the outside, and we were on a higher floor. There wasn't really anything blocking the hole or warning anyone to watch out. We got to our room and the TV didn't work. Out friends in another room didn't have working water. We only stayed for a night. The breakfast was pretty good. I'm sure it looks much nicer now assuming the construction is done.

Remnants of luxury. The hotel is old, the paint places bubbles. The staff are friendly with every effort. The kitchen in the restaurant is excellent, which is Thai, which is European (by Thai standards).

In need of updating but still a nice hotel and restaurant, they're fitting a new outside glass lift.

Classic thai four star hotel. Comes with live music in restaurant and massage.

The hotel is too old, bed shelves creak, linens yellow, small room, two beds next to each other only after the extra bed. For the 1650 is not worth it for the price. Recommended that you do not live here, basin mould. If you will regret staying here.

Reasonable in terms of what you pay and what you get. Good place to spent a night prior departure. Ca. 35min to airport by shuttle bus. Nice and big swimming pool. The hotel is "quite far" from city center, but close to waterfront. Room and bathroom are clean and have AC, TV who needs it.

A bigger hotel. Quite old but comfortable and clean. Many native guests. Breakfast was a mix of Thai and European food. Air conditioner worked but it was very loud. I found an opened water bottle in my refrigerator and I had to pay for it. :/

All furnitures in room is old and had not repair or renovat. Bereakfast room is close area that cause the food's smell at all of your cloth&hair.

Is my preferred Hotel when I have time to do in Surat Thani. The hotel rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff is almost too nice. The Hotel has a huge car Parking. Price performance ratio is excellent. The Breakfast buffet is great. In the evening great kitchen with a huge selection of food, both Thai and European cuisine with excellent quality is offered.
