Worst. Place. Ever. Do not book. Wish we’d read reviews before booking. I don’t know where to start… The worst was the bed, I cannot describe how badly it smelled of urine. Even though the bed was rock hard, the reason we didn’t sleep for two days was because of the smell. Power outages all night meant the a/c didn’t work, and the ceiling fan was disabled. But meanwhile we could see the power on just a little ways down the beach. The bathroom: disgusting… mold in the tile, smelled really bad when we got there too, 1/2 ply toilet paper, it felt like a jail cell. Wifi: you can rarely connect but if you do it’s so slow so just forget about trying Breakfast: easily the worst continental I’ve ever experienced not just in Thailand but in all my travels in 27 different countries around the world Resort staff: rude, curt and will charge you for anything and everything, want your ferry ticket printed? 20 baht etc. Want towels for the beach? Sure, just don’t you dare bring them on the beach or get sand on them or we will charge you. List goes on… Absolutely no care for the customer. There is not one redeeming quality about this place I can think of except for the view, which you can find literally anywhere else on this island. There are so many wonderful places to stay on Koh Phangan, find somewhere else to stay and avoid this trap. Not worth saving a few bucks, we learned that the hard way.

The hotel is okay for the price, but the food is not a quality one. It is less good than in all other places along the Long Beach. There are a lot of lizards entering the rooms since there are no nets on toilet windows. The pool is nice, but in a shadow. Internet is the weakest part of the hotel missing in the rooms and good only in the restaurant occasionally.

The hotel is normal but the rooms are limping.

My favorite place to stay on the island. Remote, quiet and clean rooms. Beautiful sea view for sunset, and good food.

I don’t understand people complaining about TV in the rooms or Wi-Fi. You don’t come to Thailand to watch tv! The rooms have hudge windows with amazing views to enjoy. Yes, Wi-Fi sometimes kicks you out, but it was enough to stay in touch and social media. It’s not a super luxurious hotel, the towels and sheets are a little older, but the rooms are $30-40 per nigh on average. So why complaining? We stayed in a sea view room on the 4th floor and didn’t mind going up and down stairs. It’s healthy. Yes, there are better and cheaper restaurants on Ko Phangan, and, in fact the best food you’d buy at the market, but if you don’t wanna leave Haadyao resort, they have everything you need. 2 stores downstairs have all necessary toiletries, snacks and liquor. The front desk lady was super nice and helpful. We had a great time at Haadyao.

People complaining about Wi-Fi and TV's miss out on the reason you rent these places. This place is an escape! This is the susent view from room 417 I suggest getting an upper floor room because it's very private and no on walks by your room. The stairs can be challenging, because it's so steep, but it's a decent workout to end your day. There are 2 shops n the "lobby" area in case you need anything. Plenty of moped/car rentals available too. It's very affordable. If you're on a budget ($30-50/night) I highly recommend it. We got great service with a friendly staff. Kayak rental only $5USD/hour!

Great location… Friendly restaurant staff. Sadly no actual spa. Rooms are comfy and spacious but there is a steep walk to rooms.

Not even two stars. Just one for the room and the bathroom. Ugly boys staff not terrible to explain to a five year old child that C is four people are male and female and in addition this proboscis in the dishes at the restaurant three times for four people too busy at this mocked customers really don't come with your kids Also the balconies approved for children very very very dangerous me a star even C is too.

Great resort, good food, great beach and the rooms are top for the price, even the adjacent bays are beautiful.

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff, the bathroom was built dysfunctional, everything was half broken. Wi-Fi was useless, TV was 30 year's old. The hotel and restaurant, and all ther shop's are rediculus overpriced. The beach is nice, if you swim out a 100 m, there's beautiful corals and lots of fish. But find another place to stay.

Clean simple rooms, good service, excellent cuisine with BQQ in the evening. Many nations as guests and a beautiful facility.

Nice hotel. The hotel is very… The rooms are comfortable, but some hard to reach-highly located. Prices are comparable and you can always agree if you speak English.

We stayed 4 days at Haad Yao Bayview. The hotel serves as a bed-castle and brings in as many tourists as possible. For a few days it is OK, but only if you are satisfied with the unfriendliness of the reception. The rest of the staff are friendly times annoyed and bored. The rooms was OK, cleaned was the bare necessities. There is little support for a problem. Think twice if you need it. The location is good and central. The stand clean and beautiful.

Breathtaking views cozy and comfortable bungalows.

We slept in the sea view bungalow for 11 nights and were really perfect in every aspect, the comfort of the room to the height, spectacular view at any time of the day, do not forget the restaurant on the beach: simple, cheap and good Kitchen but located in a lovely location. To see!

The restaurant is right on the beach. The service is pleasant, the prices are adequate, but the portions are not large. It is quite tasty, you can sit in the evening. Steaks are not able to cook absolutely, take fish dishes, after all it is a sea restaurant) )

Staff were really friendly, very helpful. The food was great, and the beachside views were stunning. Incredible value, I would happily recommend this hotel to others of all kinds.

Staff very nice some small problems but superb location (very nice beach)

Very poor accommodation without windows or air recycle in the toilet. No privacy in the room because all the customers can see you from the windows so you are forced to keep them closed… darkness! The swimming pool is under the shadow and the prices of the restaurant and the minimarket are overload! I think the management has to understand that the place is absolutely not luxury and the should reallocating in a lower range…

Very Nice hotel. Clean, tidy, staff is oriented to the guests, all requests are carried out immediately. Very pleased service with washing things in 2-3 hours all washed, dried and stroked and neatly folded! … The Cleaning in our room was every day! Of the minuses-the beach on the rocks or a side… A Tau and a cliff can dive when the tide! … The Evening menu is tasty, with Barbecue. The Breakfasts are usual European. Overall very good.

Very friendly staff, but in this country the clocks run differently. All you have to do is plan for double to triple time.

The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because we got these rooms at very low rates (€35). I would never pay the 'regular' price. That said, its a nice but old resort. The pools are nothing special but it's on the beach and at night they have a beautiful and delicious bbq. They have a breakfast in the morning and the staff is very accommodating and polite. The food at the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced.

Hotel overrun with mosquitoes! Prepare your repellents if you go there… They are present at any time, night or day!
The room was convenient and nice, but not quite clean: there were dozens of gnats dead everywhere, and especially in the bathroom. I made the remark at the reception, who sent me the housekeeping service. I don't know what they did, but after they passed all the gnats were always exactly in the same place and we also won a poop in the toilet.

Great value for money the rooms with sea view are well oriented for sunsets the Internet connection is not terrible in the rooms.

I am currently staying at this hotel and so far the only plus side is the amazing view. My partner and I booked a superior room, this is not we got, the room is very dated and dirty. The staff just lounge about all day and are quite unhelpful. The taxis are extremely expensive, I would recommend hiring a moped. The beach is quite nice but location wise you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is no lift, the stairs have been built at uneven heights, so it's like climbing Everest every day. The food is edible but very bland, the staff take forever to get you a drink, give you an ash tray or get you your bill but as soon as you start moving cash around they are quick to take it! I wish we had done our research before staying here and I would highly recommend that you do the same. This is an awful hotel, do not stay here!

The bugs are insane, worst we have experienced anywhere on the island. The room was very clean. The staff are very friendly, with the exception of one of the receptionists. (probably just having a bad day) The food in the restaurant was okay, not worth the price. But you're paying for the convience of not having to go far. But there are some really nice places to eat just on the other side of the beach. Stunning views, couldn't of got such beauty for such little money anywhere else.

I liked the pool and the large rooms with aircon. Good price / value. The beach is nice and happy hour is 100 baht for every cocktail. No outside drinks and food allowed. Reception is very kind and friendly, except the old big women who is rude. If you need a car to the pier get a taxi outside and don't book from the hotel its double price.

At the foot of the beach, at the northern end of Haad Yao Beach. Has a small pool in the restaurant area of infinity with a view of the beach, in which you can bathe for free if you consume something even if it's not estes hosted in the hotel. The price of the dishes is affordable, in the middle of the rest of the sites and the food is good. The staff is helpful but somewhat clueless.

Have a room on the beach, is good for a 3 star room. The beach is suitable for snorkeling (a bit dirty). The prices in the restaurant are very okay. There are 2 shops right in front of the hotel.

Incredible beach, restaurant and hotel. If you want to go to the festival of the moon, arrive earlier and stay two days at this beach. You rented a bike and roam the island before the madness that is left in the island.

A huge complex with many different rooms and bungalow. They looked at different numbers before the settlement. The sea view is amazing. Some of them have jacuzzis on their balcony. The rooms are very good, as in the 4-zvezdchnoj hotel, but at night, all the room flaws are revealed, and this is the air-conditioning. In most rooms, it is old, even ancient, noisy and blowing very cold air (not inverter). They called the Masters, the bounces were eliminated, but the noise from the old grandma's fridge is not. In the end, sleeping with air conditioning is impossible-very noisy, too damp. The Tajdande is very crude and the air-conditioning in the room is almost the most important part, but it is Thailand that is most often slaughtered. Is it a dinosaur, or is it in front of the bed, which is bad, how do you sleep under a straight fan? I'd bet the hotel had two stars, but having a pool, a well-developed infrastructure, a way to the beach is not a right. It's a big, good, but old hotel. Don't Marienplatz him next time. I suggest you pay attention to the new hotels and the place where the air conditioning is injured.

I would definitely recommend this resort. We was here as a couple, but it 's also good for older people, families with kids and singles. Our pros: — friendly staff — a lot of staff — very good restaurant — you can rent mopeds and I think bikes, too — 2 shops — nice beach — a few massage spots — modern resort — the price — your room gets cleaned whenever you want it to be cleaned — laundry service — BBQ Contras: — both shops are expensive — bad smell in the bathroom (as in most bathrooms I've been in Thailands' hotels) — 1500 Baht per person for the gala dinner was fraud. The dinner wasn't worth so much money and there wasn't much to choose of. Avoid new years Eve!

The location of the hotel is great, the staff is very friendly and friendly, and the pool is very nice and the room is very clean and the beach is very good. All council.

The place itself is absolutely gorgeous but the hassle and staff make it aggravating. The day we got there they told us the people in our room decided to stay so we had to move To a different room with a shared porch and all the way at the top. The next day they did move us to the first floor with probally at he best view in the house but still had to fight for that. The restraunt is horrible and the reception lady was just rude.

It's a bit more expensive than some hostels located close to the beach but everything is a bit more clean and they have a pool. The restaurant is also really nice. If it's your first time visiting Koh Pangan it's a safe bet to stay one night here. After that you probably will want to check the prices of the ones located close to the beach (less luxury but cheaper)

Annoying, LOUD music from 5pm on through the night, even if more than one guest asks to turn it down, they just ignore it.

Impressive hotel with a beach quite acceptable and the restaurant and facilities are very acceptable. With a bike you can rent in the hotel you can explore the island.

Rooms where clean and very nice. However it's the service that let's this hotel down. You will be waiting around most of your day just for a burger and chips also you will most likely have eaten your meal (when you do get it) before your drinks arrive. It's also out of the way, an hours drive from the fullmoon party and main attractions.

The hotel decided to increase the quoted price by 1100 bht per night on arrival despite the origanal price of 2100 per night. We should have walked away but as a result of travelling and being tired didn't. Also very crafty we assumed free taxi transfer as we were met off the peir by a guy holding a board with our name on it how wrong could we have been another 450 bht worse off.

Very long beach, warm water and low for several meters, the night comes alive with various eateries, but without chaos. Very livable.

Unquestionably the WORST experience ever. We stayed at Haad Yao Bayview for one night, primarily to attend the Full Moon party. We booked a round trip transfer to the party at the reception and paid in advance. We were told the exact times at which the van will be present at the designated spot to take guests back to the hotel once we showed them the laminated ticket (proof of booking a round trip transfer). My friends and I took full notice of all this information. When it was time to head back from the party, in the morning, there was no one to pick us up. We called the reception numerous times but there was no response. Finally, after waiting for nearly 1.5 hours in an unfathomably exhausted state at the designated pick-up spot along with other guests from the same hotel, we decided to pay extra and join a shared ride back to our hotel. Once we reached, we went to the reception and rightly asked for a refund of the one-way transfer cost we incurred due to their driver/van not showing up. Instead of accommodating our request, the receptionist started arguing with us and asserted that we must have been so drunk that we didn’t notice the van. She refused to budge and accept the hotel’s mistake even when other guests who had waited, told the same story and claimed a refund. At some point, she even asked us to “shut up”. Her attitude was downright abysmal.
