So, 5 Stars for The Beach Samui. This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a quiet beach town in Koh Samui. Staff and facilities are top notch. And everything they do, they do quickly and efficiently. Rooms are great, spacious, clean, and private. This is not a 5 star hotel, maybe 4, but it’s a 5 star rating because what they say and do is exactly what they said they would. We go for a walk every day and eat in local restaurants, everyone is friendly. It’s a quiet place. Couple of downsides. 1. There is no place to swim on the beach. If you want to swim or snorkel, you take a longtail boat to one of the many islands and do it there. Maybe 10-15 minutes away. 2. There is no money exchanger in town. Again, not a problem, do it before you arrive, or use the free daily shuttle to go into Lamai and do it there. So, no big deal. This is informational, not a complaint. Some of the local restaurants are great, some rubbish, just like everywhere else in the world. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay for a week in Koh Samui, you probably won’t get better than The Beach Samui. If you want to party and let loose, stay in Chewang or Lamai.
