Hotel in the middle of nowhere with unfriendly staff and faded rooms. Abandoned top floor and pool looking tired and missing tiles. Only plus is the view and price. You will need a rental car/bike to stay here. They tried to pull the minibar scam on us at check out as seen in other reviews but we just walked off and they didn't seem to care. Avoid this place! Stay in a 4/5* anywhere or in Bo Phut, Chaweng or Lamai as they are much more lively.

I definitely feel a little catfished by the photos I saw online before booking. I booked for a room with a hot tub and sea view by the pool, and got a small room, with no hot tub on the 4th floor and a view of trees. The resort is also pretty far from a lot of things and taxis are relatively expensive—especially if you grab one through the hotel (and it seems, a lot of the time, like there’s no other choice because of the location). I would have given less stars but they folded our towels into swans and I’ve got a soft spot for nicely folded towels.

Great hotel. Not new but all OK! Great panoramic view of both the sea and the mountains. The rooms are all well maintained. Swimming pool with a great view where there is a seat in the water for the drink without leaving the water. All clear. The staff are helpful. There is a Russian channel on TV. The rooms are clean. There are balconies or trails, depending on the room. Biel is clean. For such money this is a super offer!

Have the luxury suite booked with whirlpool and rain shower The whirlpool has no hot water and the water inlet is as if in the shower totally calcification also otherwise I find everything somewhat renovierungsbedurftig, also the pool is more a paddling pool, otherwise everything is so far All right, only two days are here but if I had booked ne where for the full price I would be a bit disappointed, we got 50prozent discount, so that's OK for us since the suites are huge and the staff super friendly! I would eichecken back here at the price.

We stayed in this hotel for a day. Room with a very beautiful sea view. Quiet and remote from the streets place. It is possible to sleep with an open door on a balcony and without kondeja (well blown) on it the pros have ended. The Cons: Wi-Fi is constantly missing, sometimes for a day. Rooms require repair, pretreatment bulbs do not work, the request to change bred hands. The constant roar of the doors from behind drafts, at night especially shook. In the pool the water is cold and with a smell of chlorine, only 1 time bathed in it. Before leaving, we were tried to dissolve for money and billed at 9000 butt for electricity, even though the condos have not once… After the trial we have made a discount up to 4300. Decided to check, fixed the counter in the photo, all turned off and left for 3 hours. When we arrived we had a namotalo of 80 butt. After that we started to swear, at the end we agreed on a score of 1000 batt. It is not clear why so deceive the guests the more that came on the recommendation… Fetch Vigilant!

It is a very good hotel in Koh Samui. I have stayed here a second time. Rooms are beautiful. Spacious, clean, big hotel. All rooms are fully furnished. Towel clean Nice swimming pool with a nice view overlooking the sea. The hotel is quiet, This is a lovely hotel. If you compare the money you paid. At this price. The rooms are of this quality. I think this hotel is better than any other hotel at this price.

Amazing view and very serene and peaceful. It is on top of the hill though and can get very breezy. The staff are just lovely! My bedroom is enormous and have an outstanding view, the only downside is that the window faces a corridor where people go pass, not quite sure what they can see on the inside.

Stayed for a few nights while in town with coworkers on a business trip and really enjoyed the very warm hospitality of the staff, the views and the overall atmosphere. The master suite room was awesome. Really enjoyed the wrap around patios and all the nature and being away from city. Kitchen could have used more cooking ware but aside from that, they were able to bring additional pots and pans from the restaurant. Staff is great. Greta value for the money. Recommended!

We had a great time staying at Grand Hill Residence for 4 nights and 5 days. We booked the Oceanview suite with the jacuzzi, two large bedrooms a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, two showers, a living room and amazing wrap around balconies. The lighting was a stand out feature for me as you are able to adjust the tone and temperature to set the perfect mood in each room, whether for watching a movie, working on your laptop, reading a book or overall relaxing. The property is set in Maenam, close to everything but on a beautiful hill overlooking the entire island. The restaurant is great and very resasonably priced consider other restaurants are on the main road. You can rent bikes, and ask the very friendly staff for anything you need during your stay. They are attentive and open and all greet you with a warm Thai smile. Definitely recommend to book that suite. Very spacious.

I stayed there from November 9 till November 24th 2017. What a great place, from the staff very friendly and informative to hotel itself great place to stay, and they have a very good restaurant. Nearby is a great golf course.

Positives : Amazing views Yeah absolutely no doubt that the views from this hotel are incredible. Whether it's a view of the mountains or a view of the beach, it's amazing. Food: The food for the most part is great. Breakfast isn't so good, but the thai food is excellent and tastes fantastic. Staff : For the most part, good. But we had some issues which I'll address later. Negatives: Hotel condition : Not great unfortunately. I'm not sure what has happened here, but the hotel is looking very old and not maintained. I'm guessing that originally this was a luxury hotel but over the years has gone through various owners. It's in desperate need of care. It smells bad and the water isn't clean. In fact, it's green. Disappointing. Mini bar : Rooms are advertised as having a mini bar. Unfortunately they don't. They have a fridge that's empty. We asked for our mini bar to be filled and was billed the restaurant price for it. Even if we didn't use the drinks. Not good. Doors : The doors bang during the night as it's in the mountains and has wind. Very difficult to sleep when the door bangs. Sort it out. Stealing: We rented a motorbike from the hotel. As standard we need to leave a passport as deposit. I should let you know that I live in Thailand and my wife is Thai at this point. On the day of checkout we handed back the keys. The staff didn't give back my wife's passport.

Loved this place. I think it's the only hotel in the world that I ever got a hug on checkout. We stayed in the biggest hotel room I have ever seen. We were a family of 4 so we got a family room with a sea view. Fantastic pool, simple but excellent restaurant and wonderful staff everywhere. No traffic noise so we really relaxed here. If you do stay here either rent a car or bike to get around as it is quite isolated, or install the Navigo Thailand app to get taxis to and from the hotel. Standard taxi drivers are a real rip off.

A quiet hotel far away from busy streets if you don't the old furnitures.

Stayed for two nights but moved out as it was very quiet. Hotel looking a little tired but the room is tastefully done but lacking full kitchen items (differing from photos) with microwave, no full set of plates etc as we were in a junior suite.

Beautiful! A bit out in the boonies. But friendly staff and a beautiful place to vacation. And affordable.

Its a discreet hotel, for people whom they look for relaxation.

This hotel is perfect if you would like to relax and enjoy a few days off. While the location is not very central, a local town and beach is only about 1-2 km walk away, which is just about right if relaxation is the purpose of your trip. A rental car or motorbike is recommended if you plan to stay long and travel around. The hotel is only about a year old, and as such it's very nice and new. Our room was quite large, with a big balcony offering a great view overlooking the ocean since this hotel is on top of a hill. As we were on the ground floor, it was also just a five meter walk to the amazing infinity pool. We had a nice big couch to stretch out on, and in the bathroom there's a fancy rain shower next to your personal jaczzi! Check out the two 360 pictures I've uploaded! While the breakfast buffet was somewhat limited, I really loved the made-to-order omelette with cheese, ham, and bacon :) Unfortunately, we managed to leave one of our cell phones in the taxi who took us to the ferry terminal. However, the hotel manager helped recover the phone, and shipped it back to us in Bangkok with tracking within two days. We'll definitely consider staying here again if we go back to Samui.
