A heavenly place, pure clear, light blue water. Paradise Island!

I had a trip for snorkeling, that was quite nice for such crowded place. After that, there was relatively little to do. Island was beautiful, of course, but lunch that was offered was not nearly as good compared ones in Patong hotels. To spend somehow extra 1 hour on island, I decided to dive into jungle. It was quite interesting with many rain forest trees and bushes, butterflies, banana — and coconut trees. Though, it is impossible not to notice awfully huge amount of trash everywhere below the forest. Waste management is clearly non-existent there.

This is one of the most beautiful locations I've ever been to. In the morning before the speedboats arrive, it's just magical. The hotel is clean and spacious, with great view. Super breakfast and really nice food.

The sand is very soft and the water very clean. It's a bit crowded but not as much as Maya. Some fish around if you're interested in snorkeling.

China Town. Don't be a dick here! The Chinese are very very very much, the feeling that got to the Chinese resort.

For a true 5 star feeling, stay in the Grand Pool Suite. Total seclusion with fantastic views of the beach and surrounding bay and area. Staff are brilliant. Food is great. Had to extend another night as it's so nice. Champagne breakfasts. Cheers.

Mass tourism in the bay is right (and we also looked stupid on arrival) but you can feel good that you are left unmolested, because the hustle and bustle goes from 10:00 to 16:00 pm and only this bay is concerned.
So you go scuba diving or make snorkelling trips with the excellent hotel diving Center at the various spots right around the island or go a few minutes to the other island beaches or stay at the resort's luxury pools (including bars etc. )
Otherwise, I would not know what could be improved in this resort. From the facility to the kitchen (s) to the friendliness and the service offered perfect.

Very nice hotel on an island. You have to take the boat to get there. The services are high end and the prices also especially if you book the suite with private pool. The staff are welcoming but we had some problems on site. Do not stay on the beach of the hotel which during the day is crowded as the boats flock and pour hundreds of tourists go for a stroll there are beaches to the back of the hotel where you will be alone in the world. In the evening by cons the beach of the hotel is deserted. The restaurant of the hotel is good and expensive so do not hesitate to go and eat in the small restaurant of the island which makes small dishes simple but fresh. Attention the dishes are often very spicy and spiced. In the bay you can do some snorkeling there are nice backgrounds and some beautiful fish.

Lovely beach with amazing water transparent, the hotel is chic, lizards are but they are harmless.

I did not stay at the hotel but only visited the island in one day trip. The quality of the waters are really amazing therefore it is an excelent place to do scuba diving.

Excursion to Ko Raya beautiful. The organizers are very friendly!

Wonderful location, fantastic beach and beachclub. In the mornings and evenings it is like paradise… In daytime however the thousands of daytrip beachgoers spoil it… Expensive but high end luxury.

Absolute perfection, I am one picky person, but there isn't a thing for me to complain about. We upgraded to the junior pool suite, it was amazing. They have such small details that truely makes the experience fantastic. I have been to many 5 star hotels, but this tops the list, by faaar. I spent 12 days in Phuket and 8 days in Malaysia, I regret not just spending my entire holiday here. Will definitely come back!

Great place, lovely view from the bungalows, to the mountains and the sea, around the jungle, huge butterflies, birds singing, flowers and palms, you can see lizards! In the evening and in the morning silence, on a beach not a soul, white sand and azure sea! Like in Paradise! But it is necessary to go for 2 days at least to see it all! Thanks to the hotel and its staff for a good welcome and a wonderful stay!

Pure mass tourism, the beach is overlooked by Japanese and Chinese at 17:00 Drive only the last boats, after that the beach is ZUGEMÜHLT!
The hotel is clean and a dream, breakfast and rooms are great, food is very expensive and anything but good…
Staff is very friendly, all the boats are away it is finally very quiet and romantic but I was certainly the last time here…
Anyone who has money can stay on the island…

Not a bad place. But lizards of course huge, frightened. Deep into the island went there at all. Better sit by the hotel.

See is a once good hotel, now look old, breakfast less, but taste can. Rooms are cheap, but the equipment is dilapidated enough. Hotel is very close to the pier, out of the boat chartering convenient.

Cool hotel, white sand, creeping lizards, flying tropical huge butterflies in incredible numbers, lots of greenery, large inner park, very quiet, full of relaxation, but expensive! Very much! Thirty per night… But a quiet elongated beach, clear emerald water, no crowds of people, beauty. The houses are white, all in contrast with the green nature. The evenings are probably boring, but this hotel for people who came not hang, and enjoy the unity with the surrounding nature…

Great hotel. Really like this place. The rooms are clean and well taken care of with great decor. The bathrooms are large and well designed. The staff is very freindly and helpful and respond to all request quickly and promptly. The price is reasonable.

Beautiful bungalow we have not stayed but from the outside we can see the quality of the service (luxurious). Out of budget for us. What a pity!

Great place to stay, the water is very clear. The white sandy beach. Only downfall is the way to get to the resort is a bit exhausting.

The sea is filled with Chinese, tin. They're everywhere. They bring their whole ferries. The island is certainly beautiful, but with such a situation of course all the impressions are erased, and they can not be. I'm sorry.

Amazing resort with great services! We wanted to escape from the overly touristy Phuket, so we chose The Racha. We were very impressed with the rooms we stayed at and the general feeling we got from all the staff. I joined the Thai cooking class and had a blast — the only downside is that it's quite pricey. It's a nice place to get away and relax for a bit as well as a great place to explore the ocean a bit. The beach there has the finest quartz sand I've ever seen in my life! If there was one thing The Racha could improve on, it'd be the food — though it's located on an island, presumably with good seafood supply, the prawns and fishes we had there were not too fresh on most days. I'm.

Very nice resort, but very expensive by Thai standards as well as even Western standards. The larger the rooms, the further back you are from the beach, although this is offset by a wonderful view, all the rooms facing the beach (where the sun sets). The resort is on a small sloping hill, so the further back you go the higher up you are and the better the view (think standout seating). We rented a fabulous villa with 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom was surrounded by electrically controlled blinds with floor to ceiling windows, 3 sides of which were surrounded by the infinitely pool you could walk directly into from the master bedroom or a door in the living room. Both rooms had an ensuite washroom. Staff were courteous and friendly, living up the the reputation. Pool/gym/restaurant were in a separate building and was lovely to watch the sun set from the infinity pool from there as well. The only downside is that the buffet breakfast was absolutely infested with countless "house flies", getting into everything and everything. Overall very much enjoyed the stay except for some minor quibbles, and would recommend the resort.

Loved this place! Inside the villa and everywhere there was such wonderful fragrance of jasmine and lemongrass. Best beach on the island. V good restos, excellent breakfast buffet. Unexpected. Truly excellent yoga experience while I was there. Thanks, Slava!

Very quiet place. A small island. For lovers of silence, diving and snorkeling.

Exciting adventure en route by boat to Racha Island from Southern Tip of Phuket. Arriving at the island is just magical. Surreal experience on the island from the amazing butterflies galore to the crystal clear turquoise waters, powder soft sand and most of all, friendly, professional and helpful, smiling staff and management that has five-star figured out! Breakfasts offer a great buffet selection and the beach restaurant has the best breeze on the island. Thanks for yet another unforgettable holiday at The Racha! It was our umpteenth visit and will return again next year.

Ideal place for diving, good prices, and helpful people.

There are three here, but don't go to the beach, you are likely to meet acquaintances. Staff were not very friendly.

What are good, hotel services are not too laugh.

Very quiet secluded resort no town, nightlife so not for everyone but excellent non the less excellent for honeymoons.

Very beautiful ocean view pool Suite, a beach, divided into public areas and hotel areas, quiet a lot.

Best vacation ever. Returning March 12 for our honeymoon. I can't wait.

Stayed here in 2008, so far the best resort I've ever been to. Stay in a pool Vila, its an experience you will never forget. A totally secluded resort, actually the resort is the only thing on the island, no town to part at, just a pure relaxation zone. Hire a 4x4 ATV bike and cruise around the island, snorkel with the fish that aren't scared of humans and swim with you. High quality resort, the only negative is you have to eat at the resort for breakfast lunch and dinner as there are no other restaurant's on the island.

This is one of the best resorts comparing with price/benefit Level! I will come back for sure.

Expensive, but worth the price to stay on the island. Local food is HORRIBLE, so you are kinda forced to eat hotel food. Overall Hotel food is not great, but still above average. Rent a taxi-boat guide to bring you to the nearby island which has crystal clear water, and you can ask him to bring you fishing as well. You can bring back your catch to the hotel and ask them to cook it for you.
