Such a good place to relax. Friendly staffs.

The Koh Yao Yai Hillside Resort is the right place to unwind or explore the Koh Yao islands! We stayed there 15 nights and enjoyed every second of it! The location is very nice, with an awesome view! The resort is very clean, the food (Western and Thai on the menu) is very good, especially the Thai food is worth mentioning! The staffs English language skills are limited but are more than sufficient. The staff is very friendly and supportive, very service oriented and dedicated! We would go there again anytime!

Little place of paradise, sea views, private pool, attention the property has no communal pool, so think of reserving a bungalow with swimming pool. The most beautiful sandy beach 3 km, shuttle bus free to the beach. Very good restaurant, at equal quality, you will pay no less dear on the island and so tasty. Scooter rental at the same price as everywhere

Excellent to resort to spend a weekend with family. Very peaceful and private. Staff is excellent and speak good English. You can rent a bike from the hotel and explore the island. A family mart near by and only one 7-11 in the island 20 mins from the resort.

Very quiet place with great view and private pool. Food delicious and even better than some big cities. This place really good but we had some problems because of Agoda. We booked bigger Deluxe Ocean View pool villa but when we arrive resort they gave us smaller Deluxe Villa with private pool. Because Agoda send confirmation email to resort as deluxe Villa with private pool and not the Ocean view one. Resort cannot let us stay in Ocean view villa because all rooms booked and people already staying inside them. It's quite annoying.

Beautiful views, lovely clean, fresh rooms, private pool. Breakfast is really good, other meals on offer are also good. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Very good service all around. If, like me, you love being on the beach, this wouldn't be the right place as it's quite a way to get to a beach one can actually swim in.

The villa’s with private pool are really amazing. Everything is perfect. Also good restaurant is available on a normal prices. Highly recommend it. The stuff is really kind and always try to help you.

Price-performance is totally true. Room is clean, staff very friendly and food OK. Despite short-term booking (20min before arrival) there were no problems.

Definitely one of the best hotels I have ever booked! Friendly staff, nice area, amazing view, relaxing infinity pool, great food… I just wish I stayed more than 2 nights there! They provide motorbikes, which is pretty cool. I truly recommend this place!

The rooms are clean and have a spectacular view with your private pool which makes it worth the stay at this hotel. The breakfast is good, a continental breakfast not very varied, the only thing is that the coffee is very bad to be of envelope and we asked for some cappuccinos of machine that offered but to our surprise they were charged at the end! I didn't say anywhere that they weren't included! In the room the water bottles are free and everything else is charged separately. The food is delicious, I recommend especially the red curry with chicken, the wine they offer is very bad (but I have not found good wine in Thailand). The attention of all the staff is very friendly just suggest that they had a strong person to help load the suitcases as the very nice young ladies tried to help but finally they could not do it alone. Do not accept dollars is effective so carry a card or THB cash. The shuttle you are offered is OK but beware of the full package they offer to Phuket which includes taxi to the port, boat trip and taxi to your hotel (in our case to Phuket) because we almost paid it and we would have left 1, 500 baht more expensive than we finally paid P or our account.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 5 nights! We have the most relax stay at the resort. Staff are very friendly, location is ok, you can rent a motorbike from the hotel. It’s about 15-20 mins away drive to Town. There is a small shop and restaurant down the road. Very peaceful and quite place! You can arrange massage inside your room or next to the pool.

The family villa was a great space for up to 6 adults. Clean and comfortable with AC and private pool. Amazing views of the ocean from the hillside. Food was reasonable price and was very yummy. Scooters were excellent to get around the island (well priced and always available). There are power lines in front of the resort but are tiny and you forget they are even there because the view is so beautiful.

So peaceful and beautiful, and esp all the help leading up to our trip truly greatful. Thank you Don and the staff.

Affordable with touches of luxury. What makes this hotel an outstanding value are it's well appointed rooms, most of which have a private pool, hot tub, and outdoor shower. The design of the rooms, views of Pang Nga Bay, and the property's landscaping are very attractive. Very clean room. The staff is attentive and helpful. The restaurant is ok with mediocre Thai food and only nescafé instant coffee. Overall this is a 2 1/2 or 3 star experience on the international scale, but if you want a great room for a quiet romantic, reasonably priced getaway this is a great choice.

Room is nice and clean. I love the private pool although it is small. Their thai foods maybe are not authentic but they are delicious especially you like spicy food. Staffs are helpful and very friendly.

View was spoiled by large powerlines directly in front of resort. Pool was spoiled by the sound of the powerlines constantly arcing and zapping. Toilet smelt of sewage. Not enough hot water to fill a bathtub. Staff lied about no comission for a taxi and ferry. Found on both occasions the actual price cheaper than what the staff tried to sell us. No compensation for anything was offered. Would stronly recommend avoiding this place. À déconseiller!

Nice rooms with private pool (most of them). The location on the island is also very good. They rent scooters for 300 Baht per day which offers a great way to explore Yao Yai and Yao Noi (transfer by boat for two people including the scooter 200 Baht). Unfortunately that's all good I can say and they have a lot to improve and to learn. First of all the residence is still in built and therefore noisy from 8am. Also the electricity cables are producing much noise. As we wanted to be on an island which is not that much touristically developed that's things we can accept easily and leave 4 stars. BUT: the food is really bad. Not that it's just overpriced (which it also is) but also it doesn't taste well. Staff does definitely not have had enough training. Of course they are (or seem to be) very friendly as everyone in Thailand, but they lack quality. The breakfast is even worse that dinner. If you look for a nice view, good location with relatively good infrastructure this is great. But I don't recommend it to people who want to stay all day in the hotel and relax / enjoy the beauty of a small island which is not yet much occupied by tourists yet. Tip: rent a scooter for the length of your stay and you will find many good restaurants nearby (1-3 km both North and South from the Hotel)
