Review of Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort - SHA Extra Plus 5*

LIKES: What I most liked about Dusit Thani is that they sent me a survey during my stay to check how happy I am there and if there is something they could do to improve my experience. Soon after I received a personalised answer, so they really read it. This shows that they really care about their guests and it is important for them to ensure we had a pleasant stay. THE RESORT AREA is a big beautiful green park with trees and lakes. There are two quite big swimming pools as well as a direct access to the beach with deck-chairs placed in two places: on a sandy beach for those who wish to stay under the sun, or on the grass in a park in the shade of trees. The resort has several restaurants and bars, a gym and a spa. BREAKFAST was in a form of a buffet and it was excellent, nothing was missing there. What I liked most was the possibility to squeeze my own fresh vegetable or fruit juice and beautiful sea views from the restaurant. A few minute walk OUTSIDE THE RESORT, there is a small pleasant village with several restaurants, souvenir shops, laundry, massage places and a 7/11 (small supermarket) DISLIKES: The ROOM was ok, but it was rather at the level of a 3 or 4-star hotel, not a 5-star one. My room had a view into three white walls, which was quite unpleasant, so make sure you ask for a room with a nice view (most rooms have a terrace/balcony with a nice view). Another thing that I was missing was a POOL SERVICE. In some other hotels they go around and offer fresh water/fruit snacks, take orders from a menu and they clean immediately after someone leaves their deck-chair, which was not the case of Dusit Thani. At the same time, I mentioned this in a survey they sent to me after my stay and they promised to improve this.
