Very nice accommodation in a beautiful location. Extremely poor management tho. At night time, both properties either side are very busy and appealing and brightly lit, the Royal Lanta has virtually no guests dinning and there are plenty of staff standing around chatting with each other. On comparison with the neighbours I found both food and drink prices higher and a poorly laid out menu, a little battered in use.
The Wi Fi supporting the pool suites which are the premier rooms on site costing more than£150 per night is almost useless and continuously drops the signal. On average I have to sign in again 6 times every 15 minutes. The management seems incapable of solving the problem. We have ever moved rooms to try and improve our service but sadly to no avail.
What should be a pleasant visit is turning into a complete nightmare, I cannot maintain a strong enough signal to access my online banking or talk to our kids via FaceTime or messenger. A dreadful experience.
Do not go to this hotel. It is getting old and the wood flooring opened under my left leg when I was on my room terrasse. I was brought to hospital the first day of my holiday in this hotel although I had paid for 3 peoplr 3200 euro for 1 week in 2 De Luxe Villa!
