Beautiful place with amazing staff. And the view…!

Just spent 2 weeks here, couldn’t ask for a better resort. Lovely staff, lovely rooms and right on the beach with comfortable sun beds and food and drink available. Enough going on around the resort to keep you occupied. Relax and Dive on site, a great friendly dive team. Koh Lanta is a beautiful chilled place.

Such a beautiful resort. The lodges are very comfortable, surrounded by beautiful blooming vegetation. Staff is super friendly and food is incredible. The bar is right on the beach and offers really good cocktails. I had a really good Thai massage by the beach with an incredible sunset, it felt like a dream.

Did not stay here but had dinner a couple of nights and it was delicious! I can also recommend the Strawberry daiquiry, so yummy! Polite and wonderful staff.

At Lanta Castaway, everything is just right — from A-Z. The complex is not too big and is very well maintained and cherished — a green oasis full of exotic trees and plants (around there are massive restaurants, shopping markets, laundrys, etc. ). The bungalows are equipped with everything you need, tip top clean and spacious. Each bungalow has its own sweet terrace, surrounded by greenery. The breakfast, which is included, is also great, you have a huge selection in the menu. From English breakfast, continental, Thai to Mexican. Just great. The corresponding beach section is also a dream, during our stay there were always enough loungers incl. Umbrellas free. Next to it is the corresponding beach bar/restaurant, here you get everything in food and drink what your heart desires. On the other hand, massages are offered — mega good, we have used almost daily. And what I have to highlight most is the whole team — be it at the bar, at breakfast, at the massage, the maids and and and. Always helpful, friendly, try to fulfill every wish. You can chat with them, laugh and of course learn a bit of Thai if you like. The whole team is just great and does a great job every day, Joe the manager is also very sympathetic and always strives for the well-being of the guests. Great beach location with beach loungers and deck right on a sandy beach. Very nice bungalows in a tropical garden setting. Outdoor dining and bar beachside. Very well tended. Super happy with my stay here.

Excellent bungalows and Wi-Fi. Good restaurant. Good location. And very quiet. Beach is not the cleanest, quite some plastics.

Amazing Mexican food with friendly staff right on the beach. Not often do you get the best views with the best food. Nachos, Tacos and Chimichangas are subleme, portions are large and also the cocktails are delicious. I live on the island and come here often when I crave something good that is not Thai food.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Castaway. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was always cleaned and stocked and the AC worked really well. The location is excellent. The beach is very clean and we always had sun loungers during the day. You can’t beat the long beach sunset each night! We rented a scooter for 300baht for 24hours right from the hotel which was really great for exploring the island. The food and drinks were good. We had the included breakfast which was nice. On our two early mornings, they gave us bananas and yogurts to take away. We were disappointed that the snorkeling organised at the resort was booked up. So definitely ask as soon as you get there. A sign letting guests know the availability would have been a great addition!

Aboslutely amazing. Beautiful beach location, spacious bungalows and good food. What more could you ask for. We travelled around for 2 weeks and this was the best beach for me. Loved it! Oh and delicious shrimp tempura.

Spent 4 days at the Castaway resort. Everything was amazing from accommodation to beach and staff were great too. Great place to relax and getaway from the hustle and bustle of other parts of Thailand. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at the Lanta Castaway Beach Resort. We were treated as old friends from the first moment we arrived and as if we’d been there for years by the end of our stay, we wish we’d booked longer than 6 nights!
It was nice to meet the hard working Nit & Darrin, (the owners) and Joe the manager who are all there to help, answer questions and more importantly to have a beer and a chat with!
We are a family of four and stayed in bungalow S1, close to the restaurant, beach and bar. Most important for you reading this to know is that it is a great resort and safe for families with young children, a romantic environment for couples, quite enough for retired people and pretty much suits everyone else. The room was spacious, clean and had a good size wetroom/shower toilet. It also had a flat screen TV if needed, mini bar fridge, tea and coffee and constantly restocked bottles of water. There is a laundry service too.
WARNING! There is no pool, because it doesn’t need one, it is on the beach and the water this April (2018) was 33 degrees C, lovely! There is a very reasonably priced massage service too for an hour at a time and we had a few!
There is a great variety of food too and the lovely staff are as happy to heat up baby food as make you something not on the menu because of food allergies, vegetarian or pescatarian needs.

Just left Castaway today after 7 wonderful days. We like everything about the hotel; the rooms, the staff, the food and drinks, the garden and especially the atmosphere. We came here in both 2008, 2009 and 2010 but this is the first time with our children (4 & 6 years old). They liked the place just as much as we do! A special thanks to Ae and Gope for wonderful massage; for both us and the children! I can promise you that it won’t be eight years until we return. Definitely experiencing some post-Castaway depression right now!

Very nice resort. The attached beach bar and the restaurant on the beach are also recommended. Prices are fair. Friendly, helpful staff.

I think it doesn't get much better than this… Koh Lanta is for an older crowd or family. If your bringing children hire a self drive tuktuk. Don't ride a motorbike. Apparently this was the first decent sunset in February 2018 and it's the 25th today…

Very lovely experience. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the lovely fresh grilled fish.

Clean, Exorico, authentic, very close to the beach. They are very sympathetic. Highly recommended.

Most complete place for you to enjoy everything the sun sea beach can offer.

Beautiful. Will stay here again. Probably best on Lanta.

Absolutely Loved the Lanta Castaway Resort!

Cute resort, but nothing special.

We had a 2 night stay at Castaway enjoying every moment and perhaps even our favourite accommodation of the trip. Not the largest site (a good thing) which was wide enough for 2 of the bungalow accomodation with a lovely winding path leading on to the beach all surrounded by lovely greenery. Right next to the beach was the bar and restaurant serving lovely food in a great setting. Especially for those romantics who can sit and watch the sun setting over the sea following a day relaxing and sunbathing on a selection of sun loungers and mattresses. High speed Wi-Fi all over the site with 2 desktop computers available and a printer also provided to help research Thailand or print flight boarding cards. Maybe not the highest star rating accommodation but it was in a class of its own having everything we needed to make this a perfect visit.

Fantastic place.
Sadly we were only here for 2 nights but could of stayed so much longer. Such a lovely relaxing place, located next to the beach with everything we need. A nice little bar, great food and service from all the staff.
This area was much quieter than the likes of Krabi and Phuket a must place to visit.

The room is abit small and facing main road, it is noisy. The pool can view some awesome sunset.

Went there for diving / food only. Great cocktails, a bit more innovative that most of the places around the island and nice settings. The food though isn't especially great nor cheap — had the breakfast burrito and it was nothing to rave about… Great dive shop attached to it (dive & relax)

We stayed at this amazing resort for 7 days and have loved every moment. The weather not fantastic but it never hindered our holiday in the least. A big thank you to the wonderful staff here who go beyond the call of duty. Dodo, Bang and Tha who made cocktail hour a fun evening, Yaa who did a fabulous job serving our room, the girls in the restaurant and even the wonderful gardener who picked up the wind blown leaves day after day. A special thanks to Texan Joe for the amazing seafood spread for our wedding anniversaries. The wonderful staff you have here certainly make this place special. Thankyou from the 4 of us.

Stayed here for a week of chill, good on site restaurant "Beachcomber", the grounds are kept neat and tidy, rooms very clean all in all an excellent mid priced hotel.
