I write this with difficulty as I really wanted to love this place. Paying the price we did and seeing the pictures we had high exceptions… First, The Pros: The rooms overlooking the lake is lovely. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly and so helpful, they make the place! They drive you to your room which is handy in the dark. They have a shuttle which takes you to and from Pai for FREE! And now The Cons: The place is dated and run down in areas. The resort is too big for its own good — There are many area that aren’t in use anymore due to lack of use; the dusty games room, the climbing wall which you can’t climb, the boarded off viewing platform are just a few things. Also, as the place is so big and there are not many guests, the place is crawling with stray cats. The area by the gym is actually a bit creepy. I imagine when it first opened the place was great and it does have it’s good bits. But for the price and overall experience I wouldn’t recommend.
