Cosy hotel into old town but maybe some furniture is also that old… need some refreshing in wall painting, furniture, … Breakfast restaurant and food was ok.

Stayed for 6 nights at The Rim Resort. Beautiful hotel. Clean spacious rooms. The staff are very attentive. Great location inside the old city. Free shuttle to the night market. Highly recommended.

Easy access to the heart of Chaing Mai, good food at the Canal restaurant attached. Nice rooms, swimming pool, and quiet even though your just off a busy street.

We have finished our round trip here. A very nice hotel in the center of Chiang Mai. From here we could look at the flower festival that was an experience.

Nice hotel well located and in spirit Building/ancient temple. Good breakfast. Beautiful bathroom with bath and shower. The rooms are a little bit dark in spite of the terrace. Very friendly staff. The Wi-Fi works well.

Absolutely AMAZING! Such a beautiful resort, walking distance to everything! The staff really made our trip spectacular. Anything we wanted or needed, they were more than happy to help and they made us feel like we never wanted to leave. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone. We'll be back.

Appearance of historical construction, with much dark wood. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Balcony on the small garden. Staff very friendly and smiling. Small, but nice pool. Some rooms to be renovated. Breakfast buffet with little choice; Can be improved, but sufficient.

Good value for money, it is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but in the old town, I recommend renting a bike for walks in the streets of Chiang Mai, the staff speaks very bad English in the restaurant, at the reception something better. The rooms were very clean. Good customer service. Recommended.

Small boutique resort with 25-30 guestrooms in perfect location in city of Chiangmai.

Nice hotel with charm, quiet and close to the center. Exquisite decoration and very friendly treatment. The large and spacious rooms need a hand of paint. Great restaurant in the making of local food.

What a wonderful boutique hotel! The staff is exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful. They took time walking us through the hotel and all the city's attractions as we sipped tea during arrival. The hotel has an ideal location on the edge of old city, close walking to anything you'd want. The unexpected bonus of this place is it's rustic charm with Burmese architectural influence. The rooms are open, quiet, and clean with large bathrooms complete with a shower and bath tub. The pool and courtyard food was delightful.

The rim is a really lovely hotel decorated in traditional Thai style, the rooms were spacious and clean and the complimentary water and bug spray were much appreciated. The hotel could do with some maintenance though especially in the pool area where a lot of the deck boards are broken and staff could be more vigilante in keeping the pool area clean of empty glasses/bottles as this clean up appeared to only happen once a day. All of the staff were extremely friendly and we couldn't fault the customer service, the only thing preventing this hotel from getting five stars from us is the lack of care and attention to the pool area. I would still recommend a visit though.

Beautiful (and quit) hotel, well equipped rooms in ancient Thai style! The Canal is the hotel restaurant! Fine food for a good price!

Hotel started off amazingly with plenty of free snacks, a complimentary drink ticket, and a complimentary massage ticket. The room was amazingly spacious and very clean. The staff was very accommodating and English friendly. However, where it's shortcomings were the consistently inconsistent water temperature, gym equipment that didn't work, a air conditioner unit that came with no instructions so we didn't realize till the second day we could turnoff the screen that could double as an airport beacon, and the room allowed the sounds of the road and nearby clubs to come through crystal clear. We really wanted to like this hotel but it just ended up annoying us.

My wife and I had a wonderfully short experience at the resort. We were very easily dropped off by the airport taxi service for a mere 150 baht. Upon arrival we were given some sort of tea that was delicious and they brought our bags to our room. Then we were also given little business cards that had the resort address for the Thai drivers to read which was very helpful. It is very nicely located near all the markets and temples very short walks 20min. The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. Also to note this place gives out free waters if you ask at the front desk. This was extremely helpful being in a foreign country.

It's a very cute resort which located in the old town. Thai style. Feel totally relaxed there during our stay.

Great hotel, good location and very nice staff.

Location is great and the staff lovely. It's been quite hot in CM the last few days so the pool was a welcome relief and the bar serves nice strong cocktails. Our garden view room was spacious and I've never had bed so large in my life.

For sure the place is beautiful and the rooms although small medium size takes advantage of good space. If you are fussy and are looking for a post with a nice breakfast not be absolutely here because it has little food and many are among the discreet and bearable cost for what it offers in General is a bit overblown and an additional bed costs 900 bath and if you're a three and want to save would never take this extra bed because the bed is so great that unless you're a sumo wrestlers you are safely in 3.

This hotel is in a prime location — right along the river road. It's easy to walk anywhere in Chaing Mai from here. Plus, they rent bicycles if you want to venture out farther. I gave it a 3 star rating because I was spoiled at the hotels before and after my stay at The Rim. For the price, I think Chaing Mai has better hotels with more amenities or luxuries. But don't get me wrong, the place is very comfortable, the staff is friendly and the location cannot be beat.
