Great hotel! Staff almost listening. Attentive. Small breakfast at the top with a lot of choice and very good thing. Even the hotel restaurant is good (although it is more expensive than the typical restaurants). Both pools are charming as well as the setting and the rooms.
Tuktuks are even available free of charge according to schedule. In short, if you can go for it!

That place is beautiful, rooms are huge (and expensive) But the best thing here, is the people that working here. They are so kind. I mean, I gave 4 stars and not 3 only because of how kind they are. Here are examples: I asked the lady working there where is the nearest zoo, she opened up a map and showed us all the stuff you can do in the city for 30 minutes! (a shout-out to Miss. Pink, thank you so much). They stuff I would give 3 stars about: The rooms: Too dark: even when all the lights are turned on in the night, I don't see much. The acoustics: it's was hard to make a phone call her since I hear myself two times more, and so is the person I talked with. No sound blocking: my room was near the pool. And as everyone knows, pools, are usually noice. And unfortunately the room doesn't block sounds from the outside or inside. That means that people from outside can hear everything you do in your room. The privacy: in the rooms there are two huge glass doors. Yes, you can use the curtains, but you can still see through. The breakfast: it's isn't a buffet, which isn't good for a breakfast in an hotel, the menu is very limited. And as a vegetarian, I did had SOME choices. But the food isn't great. I told them about that and I also told them I'm going to another hotel. So like I said earlier, they are SUPER KIND, so they offered me a ride to the other hotel, FOR FREE.

The environment is very elegant, the service staff is kind, there are tricycles can be carried to the Old Town, is a great resort characteristics of the hotel.

Thank you so much for a beautiful stay at your hotel. For such a small cost, we have had the most perfect, relaxing time.
The level of attention to detail and your staff's helpfulness is something I have not experienced anywhere before, even in 5 star hotels close to our home in the Middle East.
I wanted to stay 2 extra nights but we could not change our flights. However, I will be back again many times more.
You deserve to be 5 stars.

Beautiful grounds, exceptional service, and amazing breakfast. A must stay if you are in Chiang Mai!

Service was incredible. Nothing was more refreshing than a cup of coconut juice when we arrived after an overnight flight. And one of us had sleeping issues so we wanted to change room. Front desk person took time to show us alternatives and we were able to choose our favourite. Ensuite itself was old-fashioned, neat and clean. Towels smelled nice and fresh. Breakie had a good variety, with the choice of some local dishes at a little bit extra. We couldn’t believe vegemite was served with the toasties. These being said, four stars were given because transport was an issue for us. Hotel provided free tutu to old town but not return service. Bargaining with local drivers was a nightmare. Nonetheless, this hotel is ideal for those wanting a quality sleep and enjoyable stay.

That was two years ago but I see that recent opinions have not changed. Very nice hotel and staff.

The staff here go above and beyond the complex is very boutique. You wouldn't think you were in the middle of a city. This place is very central nothing is an issue the staff just want your stay to be perfect highly recommend.

A little paradise. Large clean and well equipped room. We were on the shop side. The hotel has 2 swimming pools. A sublime garden. Breakfast at the top. The perfect service and the small care. A shuttle every hour to drop you off in the old town. And at the airport/train if needed on the day of departure. I highly recommend it.

This place is amazing. It was a real treat to stay here. The staff is the most friendly staff we’ve encountered on this trip. We were blown away with the service and the friendliness of this staff. They have the most beautiful setup. The food they serve was delicious, I will always recommend Shewe Wana to anyone traveling to Chiang Mai. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air.

Nice atmosphere and good choice at breakfast.

Shewe Wana is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful. The rooms are very clean and safe. The free breakfast is good. It is not right in the middle of things to do but a relatively close walk, and they provide free tuk tuk to the main downtown area.

Really wonderful place. The staff was polite, helpful, and spoke English well. Room was nice and the spa was amazing. While the pools were beautiful, we wish they kept them warmer. We will be back!

Lovely hotel! Very quiet and serene, smelled of incense. Beautiful scenery. Spa, pool, breakfast were all great. Rooms was nice, could have used a desk, bed and lighting could have been softer. Overall great experience though.

Lovely hotel, the cutest place we've stayed at in Thailand. Lovely, very polite staff and cute little rooms. Rooms are small but absolutely fit for purpose. The breakfast is lovely, there is a menu which you can choose from and they make it and bring it to you fairly swiftly. There is also some bread/toast and small choice of cereal, juices and tea or coffee. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it seemed nice. 2 pools, cold, but would be lovely on a hot day! 15 minute, easy walk into the main town of chaing mai. Would definitely recommend.

Very happy with my stay here! It is an impeccably clean and well maintained hotel that's situated about a 20 minute walk to the old city. The resort also offers a complimentary shuttle hourly to key tourist locations, which I found to be very convenient. The staff were all extremely helpful and speak perfect English. The breakfast was always delicious with a ton of fresh fruit and made to order options. I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a serene, romantic location that is a little removed from the nightlife scene.

One word: Fantastic! Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms, freshly cooked breakfast, great restaurant, relaxing massages. We visited on our honeymoon and were welcomed with a decorated bed, covered in rose petals, very nice start. The place may not look like much from the outside, but behind the main entrance you'll find yourself in a small but lush garden. It's located a bit far from the centre to walk, but a free tuktuk shuttle is offered by the hotel to drop you off near the main sights you want to visit.

The staff are wonderful and the grounds are fantastic. They offered to make special thai breakfasts for us and added a personal touch to everything. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they offered promotional material for non ethical animal safaris. Things like tiger experiences where the tigers are heavily drugged and elephant encounters that include riding which is terrible for an elephant's spine. The resort itself is fantastic though. One of the highlights of our trip!

This place is truly a hidden gem! It's like an oasis in the middle of the city, and just a short walk from the night bazaar! Nice, relaxing, and safe while still being close to bars and restaurants. Delicious breakfast and their restaurant is adorable with great food! The staff are some of the kindest people we met on our trip. They were also very helpful in finding us the ideal excursion. We can't wait to return.

It's a wonderful little hotel with a beautiful tropical garden. Staff is really helpful and friendly, the breakfast is extraordinary (they make what you want, and it has a focus on healthy eating). I will remember my stay here for a long time!

Profesional staff who welcome you with a warm smile in this charming place (my first impression). I had a room in the small part of the hotel,, a very cute and well, very well cleaned room at the first stage, including pool view. Is traditional style, very simple and ALL products for the bathroom are ORGANIC, the smell is so delicious! (In every bathroom, even the commun one near the reception, you can enjoy Soap AND Hand cream, Mainly Lemongrass :)! ) The service was perfect, as the smile! On the arrival, the staff gaves me a very small and usefull map of Chiang MAi, including too, the option to get free transfer to the old town (one way) every hour. At the breackfast, the staff cuts for me some very local Thai fruits, I was the first but didn't ask for it ;) This is service … :). There are all you need at the breackfast menu, I mean, you can ask for eggs with cheese… European style… There are a lots of Thai specialities, so yummy :) Is always nice to discover, but notice is a bit heavy (Get one in your bag if your plan to do some biking are walk for a long time I would advice… ;) ). Free gluten meal are also available. There are 1 pool in each part of the Hotel. About the location, is 10 min from the old city by car, and so, very very calm around! Also, you will find In the Morning there a typical Thai market for food and all products as umbrella, tooth bruch … On the left, 2 min walk, then turn left again.

Small Hotel with much charm. The staff is very friendly. The only but is that it is a bit far from the centre, but have transportation every hour during the day.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's close enough to the center of town to walk to all the night markets, and see the other sights, but it's also — just — far enough away that it's nice and quiet, and feels quite secluded. The staff were wonderful and friendly, the breakfast options were plentiful, and we had the most relaxing time here. We love Chiang Mai, and plan to return, and when we do, we intend on staying here again.

Really nice place with great service and a fantastic breakfast. There is shuttle to the old city and the bus stations, which is convenient. It's slightly out of the way, but definitely walkable from everything you need. It's quiet and a quite relaxing place that doesn't break the bank. Highly recommended!

The hotel is a bit eccentric Center but easily accessible (regular free shuttles) in 5 minutes. The rooms are not luxurious nor big but clean and decorated with taste. The setting however is beautiful and very quiet which makes it one of our hotels would rather stay. The hotel is divided in part "family" and an older part with couples who is so very quiet. Breakfast huge in quantity and quality, restaurant the evening well if ever we're tired. Organization of the trip as possible even if you do not wish to do it with their usual partners.

So glad we chose to stay at this relaxing, clean and quaint Spa. The staff was SUPER friendly and always so helpful in hailing a ride for us, and directions etc. The Resort offers a free Tuk Tuk down to the market and old city We used this service each day. They made us a sack breakfast on our departure day and that was over and beyond what would be expected. The only draw back was that the pool was too cold to swim. No worries though, there is so much to see and do in Chiang Mai. We didn't have time to be at the pool anyway.

The room we received has 1 small window they pushed the beds together to make a king, so we are in 12' by 12' white room that has a half window. The pool is too cold to swim in and forget about sitting by the pool you will be carried away by mosquitoes. Spa is very expensive considering the surrounding spas this is 90 usd for the basic package. Gardens are very nice! And breakfast was good also.

A little oasis in the middle of the turbulent city. Two small refreshing pools, clean country-style rooms and a breakfast that strengthened the start day one can be set up. Friendly staff!

Not a very nice frontage but lovely sculpted gardens and nice pools. Friendly staff but very over priced for massages. Equivalent of 40 GBP per hour when in town the going rate was 4 GBP.

Lovely atmosphere. Only drawback is that it is quite far from nimmana maemida and even the old city…
