Excellent place to stay. Excellent hosts in Jiya and Carlo. Beautiful ambience.
I booked a night here via agoda, upon arrival the owner was very rude about my 3 year old child, he cancelled our booking because quote 'we don’t allow children, they piss in the pool and on the bed and scratch the windows with toys' he then proceeded to tell me how angry he was with me as I discussed a booking via agoda previously yet due to work commitments didn’t turn up, I didn’t think he would literally be sat waiting for a guest who hadn’t actually booked. In 6 years of staying in various hotels in Thailand I have never met someone so rude, I stayed here back in 2016 and I can say it looks like not only the place but the staff have gone down hill, the owner proceeded to tell me I should have booked 2 adults and 1 child however I have never needed to do this in the past, almost all hotels allow your child in your room for no extra fee, and I have never heard of a hotel which will not allow kids because ‘they piss in the pool and on the bed and scratch the windows with toys’ that’s just ridiculous. I greeted him as hello mate (quite an English thing to do) he then proceeded to tell me ‘im not your mate’ then called me mate? The guy is a bit of a tool and obviously has 0 customer service skills. Anyway it left our 3 year old daughter very upset as she was set on going for a swim and having a night on holiday, how anyone can be so nasty about a 3 year old girl is beyond me. You have been warned, avoid this place especially if you have children.
