Great food and fire show.

Very suitable for family looking for not so crowded yet not so secluded resort with good restaurant and amenities nearby. Resort is a bit run down but acceptable, our villa is next to beach front and the clear view of the white beach and the sound of the constant rhythmic pounding of the waves is simply mesmerising. Staff are polite and responsive, food prices are very reasonable and the food were delicious. This place is awesome. Highly recommended.

Run down hotel, should have been destroyed and rebuild. Hotel quality is poor, after lot's of cockroaches in the room, dirty linnen, smelly room we got switched to the hotel next door'malibu' which is of poor quality also… in short: want a good holiday go elsewhere. Accompanied photos are from both hotels. Food in resort cabana is good.

Dirty entrance, dirty lobby, dirty room and no sea view at all. Never come here.

A range of foods was massive! Despite that food was good and the service was polite although waiters did not speak English. Strong recommendation! I ate here a couple of times! The spiciness of the food is for tourists so remember to ask for hot spicy if you want spicy food.

Everything run down. Looks like no maintenance since opening, pool have a strong chemical smell. Many places with better value for money. We will for sure not be back.

Good restaurant. The room is quite basic. The beach is too busy with too many boats.

Waited forever for a drink at the advertised happy hour of 4 till 7 pm Thursday nights. Waiter was friendly for a while — Cambodian she mail. Ordered another happy hour drink before 7pm and it never arrived however it was on the bill. This was questioned as bill was food and drinks 2000 baht — we left and said will not return to which he she said I dont care!

Many, many visitors, in the restaurant on the beach. The toilet in the restaurant is clean, even the orchids in the bowl float.

Very calm beach. Resort was okay. Bathroom had a strong smell. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was fine. Breakfast offered a large variety from asian to Western cuisine. Directly located at the beach of Ao Vong Duan.

The place is beautiful on the beach but is behind the scenery in front of the beach hotels…
Very nice area to dive.
The worries, but this is probably part of the "folklore", it is the rubbish found everywhere and the cockroaches that sneak in the rooms.
Otherwise superb place for a day or two.

Clean, good breakfast, nice staff.

Whilst the hotel is what it is, basic but functional, this hotel and others on the beach have been sold/leased to the Chinese. There are hundreds of Chinese at these hotels who are noisy and rude. The beach is covered in litter and plastic waste making impossible to swim without meeting this abundance of litter. Perhaps the Chinese think this is acceptable, but most would find it totally off putting. I would suggest you look elsewhere for a clean and peaceful holiday. The pictures speak for themselves.

Nice beach and nice bar. Room I can't rate since I haven't stayed.

Location and rooms are ok… food breakfast and bbq diner to be avoided… there is much better for same cost just nearby.

All inclusive Complicated for 42 people (not enough staff and hours too limited)

We stayed in the Pool Side rooms. They were very clean and only a few steps away from the beach. The staff at Samed Cabana are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Good restaurant on the joke Sand Beach.

Beach not maintained, service sluggish better to the other side to White Sand Beach.

The apartment was comfortable and the staff friendly. The food was mostly tasty but the service sometimes quite slow (depending on the waiter). The beach is wonderful and there are plenty of options to book excursions to the nearby Islands and snorkeling grounds.

Great place for Happy hour sundown cocktails. Friendly staff and Meggy makes the best Pina Coladas and Mojitos on Koh Samet.

Good place nice view good person. Good food, good room, all perfect :-)

You pay the position 10/10 but shower … internet. Breakfast 5/10 … prince are extra extra just extra no quality … over all it ok.

Some of the staff was service minded, bungalow at beach front is not always at the beach had to argue to get at least 2 of our 3 rooms at the beach. Overcharged 750 baht on the dinner, removed after I complained. We order dinner one of the dishes came 30 minutes after the second last dish served. Some of the staff just do not care. Will not stay there again I think.

Hotel by local standards is not bad, room clean, staff said not a word in Russian, and did not see one manager at definitely speaks English, very good. Put the top three only due to construction and debris around the site.

This place is paradise. We stayed in a beach hut (you step out of the door onto the sand! ) and although the room wasn't particularly fancy it had everything we needed and there really was nothing like waking up to the sound waves. Really quiet beach on Koh Samet so lots of relaxing and reading. Breakfast was good — lots on offer and the staff were amazing.

Service is bad and no one picked up the phone when we needed help.

Very Good! Staff were friendly & helpful, facilities OK, better than most. Ideally placed (though take ferry or speed boat; road in is abomidable! ). The only real downside was the amount of litter in water, considering it is a National Park should be pristine, apparently litter up the East coast is a problem everywhere, but nought is done to remedy (Rangers didn't want to know, just take your 200bht! ). Shame really, takes the gloss off a beautiful place.
