We are English and currently mid-way through a break here and are loving it. We are in a deluxe room overlooking the river which is nice, clean and has everything you would expect. The pool area is nice with a swim up bar and waiter service. All the staff we have encountered have been lovely and polite. We have enjoyed breakfast at the Market each morning with everything you could want served up. We ate in the Italian last night which was absolutely delicious, especially the Nutella Tart. 🥰 And we also ate at the Longtail bar which served beautiful spicy Thai food. On booking, my husband mentioned the holiday was a celebration for my birthday and they even sent a little cake to the room. Lovely touch. Thinking of booking? Do it. 😊

Absolutely fantastic stay for an Australian couple. Anantara Riverside is an incredible resort and easily one of the best in Bangkok. What is surprising is the cost — under $200 AUD per night for 5 star suite accommodation, free international buffet breakfast and a private shuttle boat that jumps between the hotel, Sathorn Pier (a central connecting ferry point — also right next to the BTS train line) and the gigantic Icon Siam mall. The grounds are huge and the staff are among some of the nicest people we've ever interacted with. Whenever we walked past any staff member, they would greet us in English and Thai, wai and bow… something we weren't used to, but appreciated very much! Our room had a balcony with views to the river, the gardens and temples in the area. Bathrooms were huge with almost everything made from marble. Value for money if you're heading from Australia is second to none for this type of resort; for the cost of a fairly standard hotel in Australia, you can stay in absolute luxury by the river in Bangkok. The room is spacious and clean and fully equipped. The room was very nice and elegant and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is fully equipped. I don't want to go out to the hotel.

Highly recommended. It is worth spending hoilday here. The staffs here perform great service and pleasant manner to customer. Especially, resolving and response to customer as quickly as possible. Also, The room is well-equipped and hygiene.

Very nice hotel and perfect service. I spent 15 for alternative quarantine and the last 3 days I had the meals at terrace restaurant. Thank you for miss Nina. She take care in perfect way for lunch and dinner.

The concierge service here was amazing. My phone fell out of my pocket in a taxi and they tracked down the taxi and arranged for its return. I can't thank them enough.

All the staff were friendly, the place is beautiful but when come to the bill, that was a bit dodgy. There was happy hour drinks promotion — buy one get one free. The resort was charging the 10% service charge + 7% Vat on the free drinks.

Beautiful place, in line with price and expectation. Amazing facilities, pool spa, restaurant. One of the best pizza I ever tried out of Italy. The food in all restaurants was superior, it is very appreciated the happy hour, the staff are very professional and helpful. Nice facilities for children to play in. Free Boat service to the train station till late at night, it takes you I siam square in 15 min. There is a lovely mall just opposite the entrance where there is a lovely playground for the children, Starbucks (for my wife! ) Lovely massage centre very convenient. Surely recommend.

We started the honeymoon from bangkok by staying at the Anantara Riverside. What about it? All magnificent. Pampered in every smallness. Very cozy room and stocked with everything, anhe of a mobile phone that you can carry around bangkok with internet and unlimited calls. Every day different flowers on the bed, changing towels even several times a day and then everywhere around the super courteous personal resort that surprisingly pampered you with fresh lemon wipes. Amazing breakfast by the river with a variety never seen. From sweet to salty with various stations where they cooked on sight of everything and more. Unfortunately the meals we consumed them out for the various excursions but there were at least 7 different restaurants, bars in and out of the pool, all at all. Immersed in the greenery of palm trees and tropical plants and orchids everywhere. Great stays. Thank you.

The most incredible hotel I have ever visited. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely pool, spa and gym, and several restuarants. Clean rooms with wonderful views of the river. A huge and delicious buffet breakfast with a selection of foods including Thai, Indian, English and French. The staff are all so smiley and helpful.

I went to eat at Anantara. Anantara which is located right beside the river with the view of Asiatique extremely beautiful. Interior and exterior is both beautifully designed. The staffs were extremely friendly and provided good service. We asked if we could leave our belongings at reception while we eat and they happily helped. Would definitely go back.

Large resort with many places to relax. Spa was excellent for the price. Remember to ask for discount voucher during check in. The standard shuttle rides along the riverside scheduled every 20mjns comes in handy. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Drinks are so so. Too many kids and pool is too small.

This place is incredible! The staff was so friendly and accommodating we felt like we were at home. The breakfast buffet has to be the best around! There is also an amazing view of the river and easy transportation to the city. If you're trying to decide where to stay just stay here. You WON'T be disappointed.

My boyfriend, my baby girl and me, we were stayed at the Anantara riverside resort. We went to Trader vic's Bangkok yesterday on our last night stayed. The quality of the mimosa grilled shrimp was good but how they've prepared and the taste are not! specially, the pork rib was soggy, its kind of bad. We ordered 4 rounds of grilled shrimp. The first plate come with some kind of butter & garlicy sauce on top of the shrimps skewer and it was good. The second round had the …sauce on top but the shrimps was tastless! The third one had the sauce and actually taste like they've put salt on it this time And the last one was no sauce on top but just grilled shrimp with salt and black pepper! It's just like they had been cooked by different chefs. They should have changed the name to the surprise of grilled shrimp instead of mimosa grilled shrimp! They're tons of mosquitoes inside the restaurant! My baby got bits all over her face. The next day we told staffs about the mosquitoes their comments were like " ohhhh mosquitoes " ughhh… Not recommended " Trader vic's" for family with small kids. We've been coming back every year for 3 years in the row. Now very disappointed for a restaurant inside the 5stars hotel like this. Probably will never return back again!

Very nice hotel complex, good restaurants, nice staff, very clean rooms. In the beginning I feared that it is too far away from all the sights but what is not so is because they have a boat shuttle service that brings you to the Sathorn pier. (A crossroads from which you can get super everywhere. )

Fine Hotel in Bangkok. On the banks of the main river, convenient to reach the main points of the city by river. Great and comfortable rooms, equipped with all comforts and services. Fitness centre, spa and swimming pool on the terrace at the 26th floor complete the offer of this property. Recommended.

Super father the hotel and the attention.

We had a pleasure to stay in this hotel while on a 3 week trip to Thailand. We stayed there from 2-8th of January 2018. What an amazing hotel! Service was just superb, best we have ever had. Room and especially the bed was extremely comfortable. Great pool, pool restaurant and pool service. The breakfast buffet was out of this world, fit for a king … the variety of food was mind blowing, freshly baked pastries and bread, Indian food, Thai food, different types of eggs, hot dishes, cold dishes, salads, fruits, variety of juices and … whatever your heart desires. We also booked all excursions with the hotel, had an awesome experience. We would totally recommend this hotel, 100% perfection.

We discovered the nice view, enjoyed the good meals and the nice rooms of this wonderful exotic hotel located along a powerful river, and we must get back there. Within a city like Bangkok, a few minutes away from busy streets, one can relax completely here in a warm and bubbling jacuzzi or in the large swimming pool before taking for instance a wooden boat to cross the river to have dinner. I never left the camera in the room even when wandering around the hotel's surroundings because the architecture of it, respectfully built among massive trees, bushes, flowers of many different types, sculptures and pottery and art pieces so wisely chosen and placed that it reminds sometimes of Angkor, always caught my eye, and I had to make shots of it because it was just so nice. Meals like breakfasts for instance are unforgettable, guests can take place in the air conditioned areas or in a big terrace alongside the river and can choose warm typically Thai dishes of so many kinds, colorful fresh juices, fruits and nuts, western cereals, breads and fresh coffee.

Great hotel in Bangkok. Especially the free shuttle service with the boats, right on the jetty to the opposite side is fantastic. And for me the best breakfast buffet that I know. In the picture a Bavarian start in the day.

Amazing resort with a great pool and garden. Lovely refreshing fruit juice is offered as you check in. Rooms are big and so clean. Fresh orchids are put in your room every day when the room is prepared. Breakfast buffets are absolutely unbelievable. Lots of diverse Asian and continental food. You can have your breakfast facing the river. Amazing and the staff is doo friendly. You have the taxi river at your door from the hotel as a shuttle. Very well organized. I recommend this to anyone who wish to have a romantic time or too family with children. There is a children play area with one staff supervising every day. Great place indeed.

Good hotel of the upper middle class, I would say once. The rooms are very well appointed and fully equipped. The pool area is quite good but not perfect. Breakfast very big, very good, but also a bit bulky. Overall a pleasant stay, even with children, without large corners and edges. 5 Hotel stars earned without being lifted.

Friendly & informative staff, excellent relaxed & patient atmosphere amidst the crazy busy city. It was wonderful to come back to the fitness center, pool, or restaurant/bars after a long day, to say nothing of our lovely rooms. We saw a lot of families with small children too so very family friendly. Very convenient (& fun! ) boat trip along the river to 2 important stops — if you're looking to get around, start there! :)

I stayed at Avani in front but not directly in the hotel, Nice, offer shuttle boats to Traversela River and get to the Asian night market and to the train station opposite.

We had a lovely time at the Anantara resort. We were travelling with my one and a half year old twins. The place was kid friendly with a mall attached to the property which had a whole lot of food options. We love our enormous breakfast spreads when traveling and it was one of the highlights here. A giant breakfast spread by the riverside used to be a wonderful beginning to our morning. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. They also had a play room for kids which was much loved by our babies. For kids older than four years, the also had activities planned for the children so that parents could actually spend some time without worrying about kids. I would definitely recommend this place and wish to come back here a couple of years later when my babies grow up.

With or without kids this is an amazing and wonderful hotel. Enjoy breakfast as the sun rises on the river with a global choice of dishes and pure authentic Thai hospitality. Take a complimentary river taxi to Sathorn Pier and enjoy spectacular views on the river with a refreshing cold towel on your way back. Go and spoil yourself in one of the many restaurants and bars on site and the kids can mingle and play in a safe dedicated play area, fully supervised. This hotel is a must so go on, book a room and enjoy a taste of Thai paradise.

Professional of Hostellerie, I know many high-end hotels. But the Riverside is without hesitation, number one!
No ostentatious luxury, but a great authentic and sober luxury, added a undeniable gift of the welcome and the importance of each. Everything is implemented by an admirable team so that your stay is only dream, poetry and well being.
In a green setting as possible, an admirable bubble of serenity in the middle of Bangkok.
The pool is superb. The quality of the food in all the restaurants is to be specified; The tea room and its remarkable pastries is to be tested, the spa is a real haven of peace with highly qualified, discreet and delicate staff. The rooms and especially the high-end bedding and the silky sheets are enchanting. I don't want to forget all the high-level performers, the saxophonist, who every night gives you a dream.
Everything in this establishment is exceptional, but beyond, there is, in addition and above all, and at all levels, a large and warm team of professionals who give everything, really everything, to make your stay, a haven of happiness. A thousand thanks are not enough. Very quickly!

An oasis in the jungle of the big city of Bangkok. Dreamlike quiet location right by the river. Shuttle boat service to the nearest metro station every 20 minutes. The hotel serves a hammersmey breakfast buffet right on the riverside terrace with a dreamlike bread — and breadmix selection.
The pool landscape in the courtyard makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
This house I can only highly recommend to everyone for a Bangkok stay.

The hotel is absolutely superb. Kindness, cleanliness and variety leave nothing to be desired. The breakfast buffet offers every possible choice of national and international dishes. With the in-house boat you quickly get to the other side of the river and then to all the sights.

The hotel is a little away from the centre (this is easily accessible by water shuttle) in all areas. The rooms — and equipment is really great. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered is the perfect start to the day. 5 stars well deserved.

Wonderfully spaced out property very unlike the typical high rise hotels that are there in Bangkok, this actually feels like a resort with the lovely pool side and the river at the edge of the property. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and has pretty much something to suit all pallate. The staff are very friendly and eager to help and provide good directions for a new traveler. Overall the property has a good old world charm in the way it's architecture is shaped and has the hospitality to match.

To anticipate, this hotel has earned all 5 stars. It begins with the location on Chao Phraya, next to the Mekong main river of Thailand. You can experience an oasis of calm and serenity in the middle of the bustling big city of Bangkok. In order to avoid possible traffic jams when using taxis, you can use Shuttle — boats of the hotel to the Central Pier. The boats depart 20 minutes apart and from there you can get to the centre with the many shopping malls like the MBK in about 30 minutes with the BTS (a kind of high railway).
The rooms are spacious and suitable for the luxury standard. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have not yet experienced breakfast in terms of variety and quality.
I want to highlight a feature I didn't know before. Each room has a smartphone that you can take to the city, allowing free phone calls and internet access. Many of the highlights we could not use in the 3 days of our stay, one should not go unmentioned. In the evening, you should not forget a visit to the rooftop bar. We've had a glimpse of the city lights at night more often, whether with a rotating part or not. Here you have the whole thing on the 26th floor under the open sky.

We expected all good hotel breakfast buffets in Thailand to be exceptional. Its just okay. We stayed at the riverfront view room. It has good view of the river, the bridge. At night, the lights from Asiatique turned the view into a gorgeous city-river view.

Very nice luxary hotel in Bangkok — all what you expect from an Anantara. The hotel has been build in 2015 and is very close to a small shopping mall — very convenient. The service is extraordinary! Rooms are very nice and decorated in typical Thai style. International guests (mostly European and Chinese) — typically staying for several days during a stop over in Bangkok. Nice pool area and children day care — which allows to spend a recovery day in the hotel in-between your Bangkok tours.

Great resort grounds! Beautiful pool, awesome fitness center. Room service food and all restaurants were delicious. Staff always smiling and super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay. I usually stay first few days relaxing here far from the city then change to another hotel inside the city for shopping. u have malls that is connected with the resort and many restaurants and coffee inside. The breakfast is amazing so many choices thats rarely u see it in hotels as beef and Thai street BBQ.

Great Hotel. We have stayed at the Avani who is the youngest brother. Beautiful all is two with the difference that Avani has the wonderful pool on the 26th floor with breathtaking views.

The Anantara Riverside Resort is truely one of Bangkoks best Hotels. The Service is great, the Staff is extremely friendly and the Quality of the food and Drinks is at a top-notch level. The Breakfast Buffet is one of Bangkoks largest and richest. It offers you pretty much everything, from a large variety of fresh Fruits, Lettuce, Cheese, Sushi, Jam's, Bread, Eggs in all kind of varieties, Dim Sum, Thai Congee, Hash browns, Sausages and all kinds of freshly squeezed Juices. You can choose, if you'd like to sit in — or outside. The falconers are taking care of pigeons with their buzzard. The japanese Teppenyaki Restaurant should be mentioned, too. You'll find fair prices and awesome food there. The rooms are very cozy, the beds are extremely comfortable. Evey room gets a Mobile Phone. You can make long distance calls for free and use the Moblie outside of the Hotel as well. It also offers you a free Internet connection and pre-installed Apps for sightseeing and shopping. The Junior Suites offer free benefits like the private Check in, complimentary Snacks and Drinks at the Kasara Lounge. You also get free Newspapers, as much Coffee or Tea as you like and a discount on SPA treatments. The Spa is awesome. By the way. I got a really great Massage there. I love the Pool and Garden area, it is so nice and peaceful and it was great to relax there after a day in the town… A free boat service connects the Anantara with the BTS Skytrain Station Saphan Taksin.

Elegant hotel in a central location. Very good breakfast. Free boat transfer to the opposite Nightmarket and the Silom Road / Taksin square.

Thai guests are not welcomed here as the staff asked us to let the foreign customers get in to the boat first although we thai guests were earlier than them.

Pampered and relaxed by the reception that is just an attribute added to an environment embedded in a tropical garden. The hotel makes you feel perfectly relaxed although in the middle of a busy city. Despite being an international hotel does not appear as an anonymous skyscraper but has its own personality that shines through in every detail: from the décor to the service.

This hotel is a dream. As all others offering upgrade when checking-in, which we recommend to take. Breakfast buffet is stunning. Food in the other restaurants excellent. After hick-up in room reservation we got our dream room, that is service. Whole stay of about 4 nights. Worth all the money. Very friendly staff.

Great hotel and great Sunday brunch we just have been there last week at the traders viks and we loved cuban live band at the tables close to the river.

Now this place is under renovation, So there is a lot less thing to do here. However if you want to have a good time having a good coffee and bread in private riverside ambience, you could go here. One of the easiest way to come here is by ferry from BTS Taksin station; the ferry will depart every 30 mins.
