I loved everything about SO/ Bangkok. The location was great and the staff was very friendly. From the moment we walked in we received a warm greeting and an amazing drink that I don’t think we could find in the US. Once we made it to our room it was unlike any hotel room I’d ever been in. The layout was great and the view was nice as well. Their rooftop bar has great food and of course many photo ops. We made it down to breakfast one time and that was nice as well. Once the hotel found out we had recently gotten engaged, they wrote a nice note and gave us a complimentary slice of cake. Overall, my best stay at a hotel to date and I would definitely stay again!

We absolutely love this hotel and look forward to staying here every time we are in Bangkok. The staff is amazing and accommodating, we look forward to waking up to the breakfast buffet, the club level is awesome in the afternoon. The pool and gym are great. MRT is very close and access to the Sky Train is just down the way. Proximity to Lumphini Park is also very nice.
The only problem with the hotel, is I love the rooms so much I don’t care if I get out of the bed to see the city!

Incredible hotel, beautiful artistic design, very friendly staff, beautiful lifts with each lift designed like a different element, bedrooms absolutely beautiful with attention to fine detail, pricing for hotel services is very good and actually allows you to use them, room mini bar complementary.
The only thing I would change is to heat the swimming pool as it’s a bit nippleish, also a bit odd they built the pool on the shaded side of the building. Roof top bar is incredible.
Overall one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

From the second we walked in the door the customer service was excellent. We stayed in the "water" room that was decorated beautifully. We had a little bit of trouble with our toilet so they moved us to a better room with a better view! The Red Oven restaurant is wonderful and the sky bar is one of the best in the city. When booking, request a room with a park view! I would stay here again in a heart beat!

With individualised ‘theme’ rooms: wood, metal, and air, this trendy hotel is only a short distance away from all the attractions. Really enjoyed the breakfast at their red oven restaurant during our stay. Beautiful view from the pool and gym!

It’s a good 5* hotel, very well designed and located perfectly. However, food is average and breakfast is boring. The thing that upset me the most is staff attitude, very arrogant. It seemed like they are the guests not me. They solved the problem that occurred during my stay quickly and efficiently but front desk representative always interrupted me over the phone conversation. Management definitely must to provide a better training for their staff to demonstrate customer service. Your uniform is classy but your attitude is not.

This hotel is probably the best hotel in all of Bangkok. The views are very exciting. The roof top bar is to die for. The rooms all have an element that they are dedicated to. I love Earth and Water the most. The food is simply fabulous. The Welcome Cocktail spectaculair. But the best are the people that work there: they are very professional but with such Great personalities that they let shine through. Not just while Serving you but also when they meet you in the elevator. AweSOme!

Amazing rooftop pool and the view from the room was amazing. Breakfast buffet was amazing. I regret not including breakfast during my stay. Also has a cute coffee shop on the first floor.

Very nice hotel with a good rooftop bar and restaurant. The rooftop restaurant is pricey but the food high quality. Includes an open air infinity pool overlooking the city with loungers and a bar on the pool level. Stayed in an earth suite which was huge and extremely comfortable with a super king size bed, separate sitting and change rooms and very large bathroom. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, greeting us by name. The Signature lounge (for So club and themed suites) includes complimentary breakfast, and nibbles throughout the day with complimentary drinks between 4 and 6 each day. Also has a private balcony overlooking the city. Sofitel is located close to some excellent restaurants (Northeast Thai, located just around the corner is not to be missed — lots of Thais eat here and the food excellent and very well priced) and loads of shots nearby. There's also ping pong on offer at bars alongside Pat Phong market nearby… if you're interested in that sort if thing (I didn't go — not really my thing! ). Loved my stay here and would certainly stay again.

This is probably my 20th or more stay at the property for the past 5 years and will return. So BKK is the home away from home. The team and I would deliberately not say staff since many of them do work from the heart to level up the customer’s experience. Some great improvements on the food at the club floor and this feels good. Can’t wait to see u all soon next month again. Very special thanks for the special attention from concierge / lobby / red oven team / pool and gym floor to the club.

THE hotel in Bangkok, well located and offering fantastic rooms (bright, modern, good large bed, park view, spacious, good amenities, good shower). The top floor bar, the pool bar, the pool, the lobby are very entertaining areas and have a good vibes! The staff overall is very friendly, efficient and flexible on requests. I recommend this hotel without any hesitation!

During our first visit, we stayed for almost 3 weeks, and loved every minute of it. We especially adored the staff in Club Signature. They made our stay special. They were all kind and accommodating.

Excellent location next to park, subway, convenient shopping across the street, and far from sky train. Excellent service, best smelling hotel ever (beautiful fragrances are their specialty it seems), awesome view of the park from all spaces and available for half the rooms, very attentive, excellent food. Location was perfect. Friendly staffs and a great view toward Lumphini park. Pool, breakfast buffet, lobby lounge, rooftop bar — all was good! Toilet smelled a bit but they knew the issue and offered to change room immediately.

My friend and I had a magnificent stay here, so good that we barely the room except for our customary visit to 7-11 for the unmissable frozen food. The amazing customer experience started even before we checked into the hotel. We received welcome email from Just Say So team with brochures on service offered. Any inquiries were attended within a day. As our booking does not include breakfast, we decided to indulge and upgrade to Club Signature Access which entitle us to free breakfast at the club or red oven or both, access to the Club lounge with unlimited tea and coffee, complimentary evening cocktails (4-6). The service was top notch with throughout our stay. Staff were friendly, warm, courteous and always smiling. And their uniform. So stylish with a little influence of Thai culture yet modern. Excellent choice of pillows that you could request by calling So Solution. Certain room type also comes with complimentary bubble bath. One thing that we didn't really like are the dark corridors, especially for the Metal floor. Getting the lighting right in the room required lots of trial and error. There are free classes offered at the gym. The yoga mat is in dire need to be changed. We were booked in Metal and Water room. Metal room is bright and minimalist, and we absolutely love the couch by the window overlooking the Lumphini Park. Awesome looking bathroom with glass wall, therefore it maybe awkward if you are staying with friend.

This is truly the best hotel I have ever ever been too. The service is second to none. Everything is first class in every way. Our room was bigger than my apartment. The club lounge is truly spectacular high tea… amazing. Cocktails and canapé… spectacular

What sets it apart from the others are the little things like a magic trick welcome drink, letting you use the swimming pool while you wait for your room, YOU get to choose your own room style which is also correlated to which floor you're on! The Red Oven (hotel restaurant) morning buffet is just awesome-you can try everything and the staff fully expects you to-I mean ice cream for breaky? Rooftop bar is incredible-drinks, food it fuels you after a long trip and you are trying to talk yourself into venturing out to one of the busy street scenes or just enough to make you realize sleep is all you really want and you can head downstairs to the comfort of your room without being bothered and still feel like the night wasn’t wasted.

So far everything has been great. The hotel is definately very posh, but my wife and I are loving it. Check in was very easy, the morning breakfast was excellent with many things to try. We still have 2 nights left, but so far we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent 5 * * * * * House opposite the Lumpini Park. One of the best hotels in Bangkok. Modern, stylish and a service that leaves nothing to be desired.
If possible I would always choose the category comfy, these rooms are out to the side of the hotel.

Modern hotel, stylishly decorated in a great location next to train stops and a park. Friendly staff is accommodating and will help arrange travel plans while you're in Bangkok. Be sure to use the hotel staff for your tour and transport bookings to save money (get the local rate).

Room has everything you would expect in a high-end hotel. Espresso machine, snacks (included), bathrobe, more plush towels than I can figure out what for. Apple TV, automatic curtains to help you feel like a boss. Bathtub, standing shower with rainy option w/ some imagination it feels like your bathing under a waterfall. Adjustable speakers so you don’t miss the news. Phone in the toilet booth, just in case you get lonely after too spending too long in the bathroom. I just wish the sound-proofing was a little better.

A 5* star hotel that “looks” great but lacks the service, charm and overall finesse you would expect from a hotel you pay over $400AUD a night for in Bangkok. Outdated audio visual facilities, inconsistent supposedly “personal” club management service, a pool that is not that appetising when and if it’s available to use… we even didn’t get our loo paper and tissues replenished (and we had a Club Signature room). Highlight really was just the buffet breakfast at the resultant on level 7… management need to upkeep guest service and go the extra yard rather than focus on pool-parties and superficial benefits.

Very nice, modern hotel with a great rooftop bar. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is just fantastic. The only drawback is that although the Infiniti Pool is impressed with its presentation it is also not to be used by its extremely cold water temperature. Terrace with the pool is in the shade all day so the pool does not heat up. A terrace which is unfortunately not very nice is located on the other side of the hotel also on the 10th floor. Generally the hotel is very runtegrkühlt. The coffee's cold in two minutes. So sweater don't forget to put on!

Can honestly say this was one of our highlights of our time in Bangkok. The pool is an amazing infinity pool, however the fact that it is not warmed limits it's use. Excellent gym and rooftop bar has an amazing view of the city. 2 minute walk to the park. The best part of this hotel has to be the amazing breakfast. We booked our room with breakfast included, a must do.

The hotel absolutely shines with the beautiful views directly over Lumpini Park and the city. The room ' So Lofty ' on the 27th floor of the hotel with just under 100m2 was superfurnished, very clean and with a large bathtub. In addition to free drinks, the hotel offered a free VIP lounge, where you were served almost 24 hours a day in addition to breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. Breakfast at Red Oven was very versatile and offered everything from sushi to Chinese specialties to a variety of egg dishes. Bread, smoothie — and cheese lovers are not neglected either.
The staff at the reception as well as in the restaurant were always very courteous and even on the second day still knew my name, which I really appreciate.
The location of the hotel is in order and is located directly on a subway that leads to the center. Lumpini Park is also right next door for a morning jogging. Would choose this hotel again!

A beautiful city hotel with a fantastic lookout location. Very styled but also not too stylish, just right. The infinity pool in the 10th floor invites you to linger, only the Asian cooling drives you out again. The various themed rooms with unobstructed views themselves from the shower are fantastic. But the rooftop bar is best, here you look over the Lumpini Park and can enjoy a price sweet cocktail quite casually (no dress code). I'll be back!

Nice but not wonderful. Point of view. The location is wonderful and also the view of the rooms. The "metal" rooms are the smallest but of an adequate size and have a bathroom with glass walls through which you can admire the skyline of Bangkok while you take a shower. Tv Safe coffee machine and hair dryer complete the equipment. The pool on the 10mpo floor is not heated but it is fine equally. Also on the 10th floor there are free sauna and Turkish bath but divided between men and women.

Cool hotel in the middle of Bangkok. The fitness has a great view, small but equipped with everything you need. The service is excellent.

This is a very cool and chic hotel with a perfect location whether it is for business or leisure. It is in between the shopping district, business and also in front of a beautiful park that feels like New York's central park. The experience is unlike any other hotel, you are seated when you are checking in then the ambassador will approach you to take care of your paperwork while a cool welcome drink is something you need to take photo or video. They have different design of rooms, my personal favorite is the wood element and design is the emphasize of this hotel using French and Thai influence that keeps it balanced. The food is amazing, try the DRUNCH promo every Saturday. And also the Park Society at the top floor that opens for dinner and drinks only from 6 pm. The pool is also located on the top overlooking the park. There is something calm and chic yet well balanced, would definitely recommend. The staff are extremely friendly too.

Lovely Staff. Fast check out. Really enjoyed the Morning buffet. Fantastic staff would visit again. The only minus I would say for me was there was a pool party and the music was going uptill late. Was finding a bit hard to sleep. Apart from that its a great place to stay. Special thanks to the Front desk I asked for late checkout and they did give me an extra hour. Thanks guys keep up the good work.

I went there for buffet on business sorry I didn't really know how much is cost but I can review on the food and option. There are difference zone for food from difference country style like Chinese, Western, Japanese, Thai I was very enjoy quality of food. I would find sometime to get there again really!

Staying at the moment Nice view. But that's really all. So many things in my room should be fixed or changed. My room is quite shebby. Need to change lift from ground floor to your room. Worst thing is breakfast. So busy. You might not able to have a seat right away and food is also poor And I had to wait to check in for 2hours without room type choice Wondering why it is a five star hotel.

Me and my friend stayed here during Songkran Festival 2016. Booked directly via Sofitel So Website. I stated it very clear (during the booking process and emailed them again later) that I want a Water Element room. That's the reason why I want to pay more for So Comfy room instead of So Cosy room. However when I checked-in, they forced us to stay in an Earth Element room which we really don't like because of the dark blue theme. So we waited for three hours for them to move us to a Wood Element room instead. The staff are not helpful at all. This is our third year in a row staying at Sofitel So Bangkok during Songkran. We will absolutely not go back here anymore in the future.

It's a beautiful hotel and a great concept with their different design themed rooms, a change from the mundane 'superior' 'superior deluxe' etc. Service was great and staff were very friendly. Only slight blemish was we stayed in one of the 'Earth' rooms which was very dimly lit even with all the lights on and there are so many light switches that just causes confusion.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed. According to the record it may show it is my first stay because booking was done by another person. However, I've stayed multiple times. This hotel is beautiful. Service is flawless. Staffs are amazing. Tried to stay an extra day at Sofitel but it was fully booked. I will find mysef at Sofite So again.

Wonderful hotel, unique decoration and good quality of facilities. I can spend whole day just to walk around and take picture of their decoration. This is the hotel that you come with difference purpose either stay, lunch, dinner, spa, dring etc. I really like this hotel.

Wow, what a fantastic stay. Brilliant staff, never had a need. They even organised my bus for Cambodia. Amazing breakfast, I could just indulge in this for ever. Fantastic views from the pool. Only complaint is that the pool and jacuzzi were both cold and I could start in there for long. Loved this hotel!

If you want quiet, go your way, even to the floor of the device noise 26em will reach you at all hours. The situation of the hotel, although that visually successful East a lot worse for the access, the taxi that has every time trouble to locate. The decoration of the rooms seems original little functional. Including a lack of intimacy of the bathroom open to the room including the bathroom!
. The walk-in shower is a marvel despite the failure of hot water during my stay. Attention at the pool which can be closed for maintenance. Rooftop bar with views, the lazy way saving price. Very disconcerting in view of almost disguise the male staff. Chck in long when I arrive on a tiring flight. In short the choice of hotels is so important on Bangkok it is better to choose a quality best price property.

Horrific service. Poorly managed. Five star hotel service does not consist of telling guests they cannot order off menu when all the ingredients are there. I was told I could not have whipping cream for my coffee because their staff and manager could not be arsed to go get it from the kitchen. Then my friend watched an inept F&b manager make the worst Irish coffee I have ever seen let alone tasted. The coup de gras was watching a French chef berate staff for letting guests take honey from the honeycomb on the breakfast buffet. Then he walked by and his breath stank of alcohol.

I stayed at the Sofitel So Bangkok in April for my partner's birthday. Great location, the service was sensational and the rooms were immaculate. The club room was terrific and breakfast both at Red Oven and the club were delectable. Big shout out to both Geo and Paul for making our stay so special and thank you for the birthday cake!

A great hotel, well situated at the lumpini Park. Great staff, have felt from the outset very well. Booked a Studio and thanks to le club Platinum get a large suite with views of the Park.
I was the same plane on which there are also the signature Club in the 25th floor. All high-quality materials, delicious food and once again to highlight the great staff who wish one of the eyes read.

It's 4 years old and the rooms shoe their age a little bit. I also think the club option probably isn't worth the $50 premium. That service was exceptional, the décor was great and the breakfast (included) was very good with a nice variety. I thought the 'metal rooms' were the nicest (element themes) despite being on the lower floors. Nice views over lumpini park, and convenient location. Definitely take a bike ride (free from the hotel) around lumpini park.

There best hotel in Bangkok. Personalized service, stunning views, fanatic restaurants, and jaw dropping rooms make this the place to stay in Bangkok when price isn't much of a factor. And it's really a great value too, rooms would be there times as much anywhere else in the world.

We went there for the breakfast buffet — top french quality, cleanliness and attention; price reasonable for quality.

I have an experience in Red Oven restaurant at the Sofitel So. I went to have dinner buffet one day in 2015. Server asked me did I need water, I said yes, then server brought me a bottle of Sofitel Hotel brand water. It's the same free bottle water in the guest room. The restaurant charged 40 Bhat for this bottle of water when I received the bill.

Great views, if you're high up enough. The rooms are well appointed but looking a little tired. I found the food in the restaurant to be some of the most unappetising I've had during my entire stay in Thailand. The service, however, was excellent throughout the hotel.
