I've been staying here since 1991 & enjoyed it with 2 ex wives, my daughter & my current partner of 4 years has stayed here with me on more than a few occasions. The rooms are very comfy & spotlessly clean, the food's excellent & the staff have become like dear friends to me over the years. The security is great with he locked boxes at reception & it's safer than most hotels I've stayed in over the years in any country. Mr Jong the Taxi driver who works from the hotel has become more than a dear friend & is great for Airport P/ups & drop off's. The price is still very, very reasonable & I'll be staying there again next time I visit Bangers. Malaysia Hotel is a perfect place to stay. Comfy rooms, friendly staff, great food, in-house massage and a pool… all at a fair price. I've stayed here four times and will be back this year.

4 stars is generous. At least they have a 24 hour reasonably priced restaurant. No reason not to stay here, but it's just that you can find better for the price.

Nice frendly staff I liek this hotel wehn I stay in bangkok. I stay the last 5 years in this hotel perfekt wehn you stay in bkk central from hear to go everyweahr. 1 km then you stay in the heart from bkk in a nice Park the Name is lumpini park very nice park for relax can make sport and I see many wild varane!

Very basic, but well priced, had great views of the city.

I have been come to stay in this hotel and staff are the best of all friendly service the nice people. Don't believe me come and try it your self if the staff do not friendly like I said you don't have to come back again. I have been come over here for a very long time and I never want to go anywhere else. You shouldn't believe anyone else what they said try it your self and you will love this place like I do. I give 5star for service friendly if they got more star I will give more star.

Das war mein zweiter Besuch in diesem Hotel und ich werde wiederkommen. Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Angestellten freundlich und die Preise moderat. Einziges Minus, man bezahlt zusaetzlich fuer den Internet-Zugang. Fuer Thailand eigentlich ungewoehnlich… Dafuer ist es ruhig und trotzdem zentral gelegen… ideal fuer Shopping und mehr…

Old hotel. Reasonably clean but far from spotless. Smoke odor in room. No free Wi-Fi. Somewhat overprized even for Bangkok at 25 USD. Pretty quiet. Car parking lot was the main reason I stayed there. Beware of five star ratings containing the word "always"!

Very well located close to Lumpini, friendly staff, very good value for money, restaurant Park open 24/24, pool, spa.

Always has been great, like my home away from home. From the time that you check in till the time you leave, the best. When I am leaving to go back home in the States, I even tear up.

This is my fourth visit. I stayed at the Atrium 13 before Malaysia, and it was simply better in every aspect and cheaper! (just$1). A quick rundown is plain obvious-5min walk to subway (malaysia takes 10 if you walk fast), bigger room, newer, free Wi-Fi (malaysia charges 100bah/day or 200/3 days), modern decor and plenty cheap/good local eateries. I can get a 15bah Cocanut and 10bah/bag fruit or BBQ near Atrium. I asked the front desk to give me an electric kettle, and the receptionist was very nice, saying "I am very sorry, we dont have any. " I am sorry too, because atrium does provide one in the room, and the best budget hotel is not here anymore. With outdated furnishing, my room was still clean (2013/july), but it is still far below the standard of atrium. Just my two cents. Now we all pray that atrium will remain cheap forever.

I always stay at the Malaysia when in Bangkok. It is in need of a little renovation, but the convenient location, super helpful staff and budget price overcome this minor objection. I am recognized and welcomed each time I return. The Malaysia is a short walk from the Lumphini MRT station. You can get to Silom or Patpong for 20 baht. There is a 24-hour onsite restaurant, but I find the food to be a little pricey. There are loads of other options nearby. The swimming pool is well maintained and is a good place to meet the international clientele. No problem with having guests in your room. For your protection, the staff insures that your visitor is of legal age and takes the visitor's ID card. A quick phone call to check that all is well before returning the card is a nice touch.
