Just completed the 7D quarantine at Montien Riverside Hotel Bangkok and want to give it thumbs up. Food was exceptional, especially the Thai, Chinese and Vegetarian options. Really enjoyed the view — watching river traffic was quite fun. Staffs were really helpful and quick to response. Highly recommend this hotel if the quarantine rule ever comes back.

I stayed in Montien for their Test&Go package and it was all worth it! very beautiful hotel, beautiful and comfortable rooms, amazing view of the river! will definitely rebook next time I have a vacation in Bangkok.

I only went there for a lunch. So, in the big picture, I think the hotel seem to be a high quality one. The place is not too crowded but also not too quiet. The guests look like they won't cause trouble lol. The dimsum lunch buffet is worth the price. The taste, the service and the vibe. The reception is nice. The doorman has a impressive service-mind. Well, that's all I got to experience :)

The hotel is at very peaceful destination, the river side hotel with a decent veiw and friendly staff. At a phone call. The rooms need little furnishings because cupboard wasn't working well. But amenities and bathroom were well maintained and u can hire taxi from the outside of hotel its, adjoining to Rama road. Swimming pool with country view on open area is marvelous.

Hotel was good. Far off the trek. Near enough to amenities to be useful. Asiatique was well worth the trip for markets, restaurants and carnival atmosphere. Breakfast was good for my boys and I. … My oldest boy used the hairdryer and an insect flew out. Didn’t really bother me.

It's one of the famous 5 star hotel in Bangkok. It is located on river bank. You can enjoy superb river view from the hotel. Hotel rooms were very specious. They give us feel of great aesthetic pleasure. Hotel staff was all very cooperative. They also have a nice space to spend some moments along the river front. The outside garden is very well decorated. Illuminated tree in the garden give very rich feel to the environment.

We had visited the hotel long back. Therefore, the experience is not much relevant now. Only recollect the facilities at the hotel stayed quite a contemporary, meeting to the expectations. Especially the prominent notable feature being the view of the river from the hotel room. That was extremely captivating.

Exceptional service. Beautiful hotel. Lovely room, comfortable bed — 25th floor. Breakfast Service manager at Cafe. Exceptional including his staff. Food beautiful and fresh. LBreakfast service manager cannot speak more highly of him. Briiliant. Always smiling and he made our stay at Montien very special — Unfortunately, he was not there when we departed. We really wanted to thank him, show our gratitude and say goodbye personnally. Bell captain and staff — very helpful and caring in everyway — Exceptional Assistant front office manager — Supawadee Srihnam — once again exceptional — very helpful — made to feel very special guests, even on our departure. Too all staff — Thankyou and goodbye for now — from Brisbane, Australia.

Clean and spacious but very far from the center. No transportation nearby, take a taxi package. Free and expensive Wifi.

Very disappointed overall — price of astronomical beverages (3x cheaper in other hotels in Bangkok) — design of older rooms — exterior design on the pool side clearly to be revisited — free Wi-Fi (a 5-star hotel Attic) — location p Have the best to discover the centre of Bangkok — air-conditioned in the rooms (either too hot or too cold) and noisy.

Good view, breakfast was ok but not great. Had laundry done and they did a great job but it is expensive. Room is a little dated but acceptable. Water doesn't drain and is annoying. Toilet didn't flush well required flushing about 8 times to fully clear the toilet. Sink drained very slowly. This may have been an isolated event but we didn't stay long enough to request repairs if needed. We were on the 23rd floor. Cost of our room was very reasonable at $75 USD so 4 out of 5 stars because for $75 what do you expect.

Nice and clean hotel. The room was spacious, with a nice view. The staff seems to have a little trouble with English not against. Breakfast is well provided from 6:00 am.

Ok, it is a bit remote but anyone with ANY common sense reads about a Hotel before booking it. The Montien Riverside offers superb value for money, excellent and huge rooms, furnished in an old fashioned way but spotlessly clean. Transport is right outside, if you wish to take the local bus, or a shuttle bus service. Taxis are cheap. There is a small mall within ten minutes walk. I honestly think most of the complaints are from people who paid around $75usd for a room and expect a $350 room and facilities.

Very friendly staff, great view, spacious and clean rooms, variety in the buffet. The location though is pretty far from everything on foot and maybe even with taxi. There is shuttle bus offered by the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool landscape unloved and without shade trees. Garden is that.

Stayed for 02 nights at this hotel. Had nice experience. Rooms are quite spacious and have fantastic views of the Chao Phraya River. At breakfast time and also at lunch and dinner, there was wide spread of Vegetarian dishes. Only slight improvement need is that staff should be smiling and interactive with guests.

It's the historic style and service that makes the place. Location far from everywhere. And a bit outdated. But lovely staff with great service.

Great place to stay — a bit out of the way but that wasn't a problem thanks to the complimentary shuttle service to other locations. Breakfast was always great. Pool was good too. Not quite 5 star as advertised but pretty good anyway — decor a bit dated and a bit of faded grandeur. Service was second to none — especially the bell hops — would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Good value for the price, convenient for business travel.

We didn't live long — two days. Enjoyed everything: room, breakfasts, pool, especially view from the window.

Hotel "Tourist factory", everything is paying even the Wi-Fi… which in the end works very poorly, expensive coffee… To avoid.

No matter how wonderful the hotel staff are, it's time to demolish it. The hotel is very tired and does not correspond to the level of 5 *. And the staff sometimes lazy: large glass in windows with a nice view has long not wiped as much as many other things in the rooms. Breakfast was good.
Taxi fare from the hotel to the Metro 60-90 Batt (on the counter), to the palace of about 100.
The shuttle from the hotel is not convenient-seldom and not the actual route.
The main drawback is the old age of everything in the hotel and as a result the weariness of everything in the rooms. Even slippers there are not disposable, and erasing several dozens of times. Bathrobes Nice to the holes. No need to stop there.

Staff very good, smiling and rider. Very good breakfast with lots of choices. Dinner's not too bad. Very nice rooms with view and large bathroom and shower, safe does not work. (Room at 15th and 16th). Swimming pool with very cold water, more sun after 11 in the morning! Very expensive orange juice. Wi-Fi Fee!

Had visited the hotel long back so the past experience is not much relevant now. Only remember that hotel facilities were quite satisfactory, meeting the expectations. Particularly remember that the view of the river from the hotel room was very captivating.

Not the most friendly staff. God forbid you have a problem, they refused to help and have a few times been completely disorganized.

The worst hotel I have ever lived in. I should give a negative rating to this place. Rude managers and stupid staffs with rooms of bugs could become your nightmares! Please stop waste your time here. AND seriously, PLEASE, how can you call this hotel a FIVE STAR? Unbelievable!

Compared to other hotels we have stayed we found the Montien highly disappointing. The location was not near anything walking distance. Food prices in the hotel was over priced. We had no Wi-Fi the whole 3 day stay unless we went to the lobby and the staff were rude and not helpful when we questioned it. Wifi should not be advertised for this hotel. Pool area had no atmosphere. Rooms outdated.
Only thing we can commend was the helpful and polite door men! Always helped us with directions. Reception staff were quite rude and didnt have much knowledge to be of much help with any of our queries. Would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

Very nice hotel with great, friendly staff. Best hotel I stayed in our time in Thailand. Location is very inconvenient as far as walking distance to anything, especially downtown, but they offer a friendly shuttle to/from if you sign up on the list early ehough. Great river views and extremely comfortable in safety when seeing patrolled security, plus a check in for cars before entering. Absolutely wonderful hotel and staff, beyond great! Location is not ideal but they make it work. Plus a great set of gift/clothing shops on site.

Very disappointed in the Montien… a hotel that I thought would be amazing given the 5-star and decent reviews. I have traveled Asia for almost 3 months now and some hotels that I have spent far less on and that were 2 or 3-stars were 10x better than the Montien. I will start off by saying that the staff were incredible, polite, and spoke English well. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible — I needed to get some business done during my stay and I was continually unable to join, had problems all throughout the hotel, and even after the service men came to "fix" the problem… it still acted up. This is one thing that is high priority and needs to be updated prior to any decor renovations. The hotel (as others have mentioned) is a bit far from anything, there is not much to eat or drink at outside of the hotel, but this is something that one can find out prior to booking. All in all… the hotel and staff itself were nice, but I would not stay here again especially for such a high price.

Amazing place to stay in Bangkok. The staff are wonderful the food is delicious and it's close enough to the centre to not cost the earth in taxis and be away from the hustle and bustle of the main city. Wonderful! Would highly recommend.

We were greeted at the door who also helped with the luggage. Then we were served a nice refreshing drink while checking in and then told we got upgraded to an Executive Suite. The bell boy gave excellent service taking baggage to the room and explaining how to use their system. Highly recommended!

I love stayed there for 3 nights on weekday, the scenery is fabulous, I got the river view. Fabulous stay.

Overall a good hotel with amazing view and good complimentary breakfast. The rooms are decent. A bit of communication problem but staffs are helpful, poor Wi-Fi connectivity in the room and the hotel provides shuttle service to Surasak BTS station bi-hourly. Travel can be an issue as it's not close to any MRT or BTS station. The nearest BTS station is 3.5 Kms away.

Old and outdated. Good service. But its far from any public transport and hard to get a taxi. Makes a stay in Bangkok hard if you not only staying at the hotel. And everything is expencive.

25 years ago, quite luxurious … … 21inch big ass picture tube TV, mottled wood flooring … … Old furniture, filled with stained carpets, but rooms are very large, bathroom was spacious, river views very nice.

It is a nice hotel who are seeking a quieter place! It is close to Asiatique night market and Central Plaza Rama III. However no free Wi-Fi provided and 3G connections are desperately slow.

It's most definitely a nice hotel. But. For saying it's fairly priced the restaurants prices are extortionate, especially the Chinese restaurant. We tried it and the food was just average, I've had better from any takeaway in the UK. The room is nice, on the 25th floor with a great view. Overall nice service, nice clean room. The downside, you have to pay for every little thing. Every service is extortionate.

Outstanding! When in Bangkok, the ONLY place to stay. Value, ammenities and location 5 stars. Luxury on a budget with breathtaking view of the river.

It is a huge hotel located on the outskirts of downtown Bangkok. It has pleasant gardens which is appreciated after a visit to the Centre. The staff very friendly, the rooms spacious and well-kept. It has a free minibus service that takes you to the Center where they have another hotel from the same chain.
