Our family had a wonderful time at this hotel, every wish was granted. The chef did his best to surprise us every day with a new super-delicious dish.

Had a wonderful stay at Golden Tulip, the staff always checked on us, the food was great and a big thanks to Chef Ngwali. Exotic Tour also gave excellent, punctual and professional services for all our tours.

Hotel is fine, located on a busy road so try and and get an ocean facing room if possible.
Rooms are comfortable and clean with plenty of space.
All staff are friendly and helpful. They are also following COVID safety rules. Pool area is small, but was never over crowded when I used it. Breakfasts were repetitive and somewhat bland, but the restaurant staff were always friendly and eager to assist where possible.
The only real downside was terrible internet/Wi-Fi service, with just about reasonable service in the public areas/5th floor. Almost unusable elsewhere.
There is only one English speaking TV channel (China News) definitely no satellite TV as advertised.
Overall I would rate it as a 3+ Star hotel.

The staff are awesome, very friendly and ready to help at all times. Great food and the wonderful view of the Ocean from Restaurant in the 5th floor.

You just need to up your housekeeping standards. Otherwise the staff was caring, patient and had teachablen spirit. Beautiful establishment and serene. I'll definitely visit again just up your cleaning standards including cups in your restaurant. Otherwise it's a great place to stay in.

Very relaxing and private hotel with modern atmosphere and profound management.
Not like its’ “sister hotel" Golden Tulip Boutique in 5 kilometers, which was horrible experience with insufficiently skilled management.
The rooms are really great with flat screen TV. The breakfast was really great, varied and pleasing experience. The pool is big enough. The fitness center and its’ equipment is quality and sufficient. Honest and nice feeling staff. Very marvelous experience, I will return on regularly basis.

The hotel cancelled our reservation 2 days before our arrival for a business trip. Apparently due to overbooking. That left leaving us with no place to stay in the high season and having alternatives being at least 250% more expensive at this time. They offered no help nor explanation, nor even an apology! Absolutely disrespectful.

A remarkable view both from my room with a balcony and from the top floor bar and restaurant. Good breakfast. Coffee ought to be on the table rather than ask for it! on the other hand, we wish we could get some more helpful information on the area from the reception. They don't seem to know much or be able to give clear recommendations. Otherwine the amenities are great.

The staff is very friendly… the rooms are very clean… all the services are available… I had a good time there.

I loved the hotel food is very good and nice staff could not be any more helpful all making sure your OK has no bar but u can take drinks in with u do a amazing bbq on a Friday and we used taxi out side the hotel door for everything so good I would go back thanks for amazing time golden tulip.

The rooms are beautiful, the restaurant view is wonderful but swimingpool is soo small, no beach in this place, a fake sand place don t trust the pictures, some of the staffs behavior is so rude they think everything is by money, very far from stone town maybe it takes 20$ for taxi or more.

The bed was very comfortable. A very good place for couples who want to be away from the hustle and bustle since its quite a distance to town. But the daladala are available and very affordable. Enjoyed my stay with my fiance.

Golden Tulip exceeded all my expectations! Every single thing about this resort was perfect. The breakfast was amazing! The food was great and fairly affordable! The sea view was spectacular. I also must acknowledge the great customer service. All the workers are extremely kind. The rooms are spacious and quite modern. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. The only downside might be their pool which is quite small. General thoughts: Great experience.

Very beautiful hotel, clean spacious room, lovely staff with warm smile, lovely ocean view, jackline was quite helpful at the course of our stay. I will definitely come back when next I'm in zanzibar.

It was an awesome experience. From Lucy and Jacqueline at the front seat to Alibaba and the wonderful ladies at the restaurant, my sisters, sister in law and I had a fabulous time. Marsha the driver was great also. Thanks for a great time.

Good hotel, some distance from the centre of Zanzibar city (Stone town). Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are as big as the pictures show. We booked the smallest room and it's like a small apartment. There is a pool, seaside, but it is a bit small. As is the top floor restaurant. Sometimes the restaurant hosts events and then there is even less available space. Enjoyed my stay.

My friend and I went to its restaurant. We enjoyed the fresh fish there. You can stay in any hotel and come to enjoy that nice hotel.

Good hotel with very beautiful, spacious rooms of modern style. The hotel does not sell alcoholic beverages though! How sad for the alcohol lovers. Even worse, guests coming in are not notified beforehand. Nice and big pool facing the ocean and NO BEACH.

Brand new hotel with amazing sea view (don't worry if your room doesn't have it, the view from the restaurant is available all day long), spacious, modern aircoditioned (which is rare on the island) rooms, good pool with kids area and really nice staff. It is located not in the beach area but if your itinerary consists of mostly tours go ahead and book it. The room rates are really good compare to other hotels and for value you get.

Dinner was surprisingly good. We are Znz residents so just came for dinner. We shared a Caesar salad and a seafood platter. Platter was huge and the fish and shell fish was grilled to perfection. Not over cooked but still pinkish. A nice mixed bowl of veg… al dente! Yeah. Great view and very friendly service.
We will be back. Thanks guys and keep it up.

Pretty standard hotel in a good part of town. It is however technically not a resort as advertised. Standard rooms and the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Biggest downside was the flies, they were everywhere.

Beautiful Rooms Fairly Friendly staff, clean, nice pool for children and adults. Food is good, breakfast is yummy. Affordable rates no hidden charges. They also allow late check out with a little extra charge. The view of Zanzibar is a must see on the 5th floor. Only fault is too much flies when you are having your meal. In all Hakunna Ma tata.

Gorgeous little place, great staff. Perfect for short inexpensive stays since it is very affordable. Though the restaurant needs to add more dining options.

The ocean view is amazing. The food is good and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Jacqueline was very helpful. I had an amazing time.

Lovely hotel… But too many mosquitoes, probably because of the location… I enjoyed my stay over all.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and with great staff — friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed — we had an beautiful ocean view with small balcony — no chairs out there but we carried a couple up from the ground floor store. It's actually a suite with separate living kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. Great shower! Spotless linens. Bring your own tipples if you like a drink as there's no bar here. Breakfast is a fair variety of fruits, cereals and cooked foods. The omelettes fill the gap very well. No access to ocean and beach is a distance, but the poolside is fine with plenty of loungers. They're still putting together the cafe for next to the pool but you can order from the restaurant in the meantime. I'd definitely come again!

Urban hotel experience in a tropical paradise. Easy access to stonetown and the bay area.

Its a nice Hotel, staff are polite and helpful. Its quiet and has a very beautiful view of the sea from the restaurant on the 5th floor.

Perfect island for alternative vacation. People who likes kitesurf the east side of the island is perfect. There are many beautiful hotels and resorts to stay. Zanzibar isn't expensive. Zanzibar is a safe destination. People are very helpful and kind.

When we arrived at around 4pm they said our room wasn't ready which is not a great start since it was well past check in time. The food was nice but limited menu and not much choice in the area for other restaurants. Staff were friendly and breakfast was nice. If you want a towel for the pool you have to go to reception to request rather then just being available at the pool, the pool was nice and refreshing though. Would be good if they have more information freely available about things to do in Zanzibar rather then just when someone from the tour company is on site which is infrequent at times. Enjoyed the stay overall but just a lot of small things that brought it down, they also don't have alcohol available.

The food is amazing, swimming pool is awesome and whats best is the customer service…
