Great place with calm, quiet athmosphere. Food was super good maybe a bit expensive. Staff is kind serviceminded and a bit charmingly unproffesional. Wifi was good.

It was a great trip to Zanzibar, my 1st time but diffenitly not my last ♡ I'm so in love with the place & specially this resort on east coast, near Matemwe village. Very quiet environment, pet friendly, & great food!

This Zanzibar resort is just amazing, truly like paradise on earth! The rooms are spaciousness, beautiful, and clean. The staff and owner are really friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The facilities and surroundings are simply the best! We had an amazing few days there and I highly recommend it to everyone!

We had an amazing time at the Marafiki Hotel. When we first arrived, we weren't happy with the room we got, as it was in another part of the hotel, then what we originally booked. But after speaking with the management, they arranged a beautiful sea view room for us as well as a complimentary massage. From then on our holiday really started. All of the staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful place, great and friendly staff always smiling and helpful. Perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle to relax and rejuvenate.

Great hotel. Clean cozy. The room was clean and the breakfast was very nice. All requests are easily withdrawn. The swimming pool is open from 9-18. Restaurant with quite tasty local food. European is so-so, but it is true everywhere in Zanzibar. The beach is clean. During low tide you can go to the reef. Many sea urchins without special shoes in the ocean is better not to go. Quiet and peaceful place. There is no disco shops and in fact especially nothing but neighboring hotels.

We had a great time here, really nice and quiet place, their restaurant also has really delicious food, service was really good!

Pros: — The host and staff are very helpful (money exchange, fruit orders) — Food is very good at their restaurant. Not diverse (catch of the day was repeated once in 2 days), but manageable for a week stay. — Clean, staff did their best to keep everything in line. — Possibility to use the "brother" hotel pool and facilities. Cons: — Pictures from rooms are dated (in the bathroom is the worst, where there is rust and calcar) — Vila 1 swimming pool was not clean.

A very nice, friendly and clean place. You can be absolutely safe here. Mohammad knows how to grill a fish — how to make a shrip curry — how to cook actually. Seafood absolutely fresh. I you are on Zanzibar — go there … stay there or just enjoy the afternoon with the pristine beach — and the good food. Wacht the life of the villige fishermen, right in front of you.

Spent the day on the beach through reciprocity with Sunshine Marine Lodge. The rock formations were amazing and an excellent photo op. The beach was clean; the water was warm but had a lot of algae and debris. Farther away from the lounge area, there were areas of clear water for enjoyment.

Firstly, consider I am someone who is very well traveled across most parts of the world and have high standards for my stays and the service I receive.

My friends and I had a great time at Kiganja Retreat Zanzibar! I can definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a beautiful place near the beach to fully relax! The rooms are clean and new, the pool is amazing, and the location is perfect, just 1 min away from the sea. The breakfast is included in the rate and additionally they also serve delicious lunch and a 3-course dinner at Kiganja.

Amazing place and owner. The place is beautiful. They recreated a beach a the resort with beach chairs, palapas and sand. Right next to the beautiful beach of Zanzibar. Owner helped us when the airline messed up our flights.

We absolutely loved this hotel! It’s so beautifully designed, with all the plants, wooden furniture and tropical vibe. Service was great and so was the food at their restaurant. We spend a few days for our honeymoon here and felt super spoiled. Would highly recomment this place!

Stayed here in August 2022. Top notch customer service from the hotel manager Mohamed and the whole team. Strongly recommend the beach bbq and snorkel trip. Chef Edmund prepared a really unforgettable beach bbq for us and everyone made us feel very welcome.

Had a great few nights here. Couldn't fault the place. The rooms were lovely, the staff were all so friendly and welcoming and genuine. The location was very chilled out. I enjoyed the food a lot. A nice added bonus was the landscaping. The walk to and from our lodge was so enjoyable walking by all the various plants and even animals. Although there it was a very chilled place there were enough activities (scuba, snorkelling, walks, kayaking) to keep the easily bored entertained.

Great hotel on the beautiful beach of Matemwe in northern Zanzibar. Owners and staff were very friendly and accomodating. But I would really recommend going to this hotel because of the food. Delicious! We booked half board and the breakfast menu was amazing. For dinner we had a choice of two main courses and everything was really great. We were also happy with the rooms — we booked the two on the second floor with a beach view and balconies.

We’ve tried the restaurant only and the food was very delicious!

We had a phenomenal Vacation in this Villa.
It‘s so relaxing, the house is amazing and the view is just outstanding. The street that leads to the Villa is a little bit rocky^^ but it‘s not a big deal.
The most mentionable aspect is the wholesome team, that surrounds you. Big Thank You to all of you!

The place is fantastic and peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service is excellent. I enjoyed the panoramic view of the pool. I would love to come again.

Pearl! A unique place. This is not a hotel, it is like staying with good friends. Fantastic owners who take care of you like family! No problem with anything. The owner arranged for us to rent a car at a good price, of course it is also possible to order a transfer from the airport. All trips and excursions can be arranged on site at very good prices. The hotel is less than a year old, it is very clean. You have two swimming pools and a sufficient number of sun loungers at your disposal.

I highly recommend Haber Hotel & Spa. We spent a week at the hotel at the end of February. Family 2 +1. You can see that the hotel is new with spacious rooms, modern finishes with a hint of African style. The rooms were clean, the staff cleaned and provided water every day. A huge plus for the fridge and air conditioning in the room. Very nice owners, Mr. Krzysztof and Mrs. Kasia, are always willing to help and can tell you what is worth seeing and how to organize it.

We were only here for the food, we didn't have a room. The ambience was great, very cozy and beautiful. We had two vegetarian dishes and they were one of the best we had so far in our three weeks in tanzania. The staff was friendly. Its a bit expensive but definitely worth it.

An oasis in Africa, the garden is amazing, the decoration perfect, the food is unbeatable. We loved the octopus, the squid, the tuna, the lobster… all delicious and with a very good price.
The beach is a 6 minute walk away.
The owners Paco and María provide you with everything to make the excursions or activities you want to do. I definitely recommend it.

We stayed at this Resort last Christmas until New Year. We had a Wonderful time in Zanzibar there in Matemwe. We travel everywhere in the World but we never had the same experience we had in this resort. The very first minute we enter the gate we feel like home. We booked the Bungalow Room but then Paco give us an upgrade to the Villa with private pool and a very spacious room just behind the yoga place. We really appreciate it. They are very nice people.

Great place. Very warm welcome. Staff caring for us. Deliciously local catering. In short I highly recommend this establishment.
