Pvani region Hotels

Wow.
Upon arrival (5 am), we were greeted with a smile and a platter of grilled cheese, beef, and fries. The staff is always smiling and strives for perfection.

This is a fabulous hotel.
So calm and restorative.
It is spotlessly clean.
It is directly on a beautiful beach and our ocean facing room was very special.
Supremely comfortable.

We really enjoyed staying at this boutique hotel right by the beach. The staff were very kind and the food was delicious.

The staff were amazing and friendly. They do a great job in making you feel at home. We would stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Zen! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, warm and accommodating.

I have been home a little over a week and have thought about my time at Zen several times.

An unforgettable stay in paradise.
Xanadu Luxury Villas is truly a paradise on earth.

Our family had an unforgettable stay at Xanadu in Zanzibar. This is a stunning, intimate resort made up of beautifully designed private villas that offer luxury, privacy, and breathtaking ocean views.

I had the opportunity to stay at this property for the second time. It was excellent value for money, the location is superb, and it met my expectations.

I had an amazing time at Rafiki Hotel — it’s one of those hidden gems that instantly feels like home. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, genuine, and always smiling.

Nice place, beautiful garden, few steps from beach, peaceful, helpfull owner JOE and nice personel, fresh fruits in morning for breakfest with juice + coffee and changing adds for every day.

We had an absolutely unforgettable evening at Paje Beach Bandas! From the moment we arrived, the relaxed beachfront vibe and warm, attentive service made us feel instantly at home.

Great place to stay! Rooms are comfortable and clean. There is an option with shared or private bathroom. No AC but very strong fans making it comfortable to sleep.

Extremely nice host! Monalisa helped us to organise transportation and let us stay even after check out. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast very tasty and prepared freshly.

Rooms are simple but very nice and organised. Position is not on the cost but only 5 minutes away. The Host was very welcoming.
Assante Sana, pole pole, Jambo.

The hotel is beautifully located, making it easy to connect with locals, with convenient access to the beach and short way to Jambiani Plaza where it is an ATM.

We stayed at Mpole Bungalows for a week and truly fell in love with this place. It felt like staying at friends’ countryside home — very warm, relaxed, and personal.

We stayed at Mpole 2 weeks in December and we loved it! From the first step you feel this chilled and relaxed atmosphere, the one that makes you enjoy “here and now”…
Very friendly staff, super

Not sure why the score for this place is so low. It’s excellent value for money. Our cheapest place in Zanzibar yet had the strongest Wi-Fi and the only place we didn’t experience any power outages.

Hiliki House is situated in a great location for exploring Stone Town.

My husband and I recently stayed at Gold Zanzibar and it was a wonderful experience! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms, although a bit outdated, are spacious and very clean.

Excellent value for money hotel.
Very friendly staff, excellent gastronomy, spacious and comfortable rooms. Beautiful and well-kept gardens, spectacular swimming pool. On the best beach in Zanzibar.

There is not one thing I would change about this resort. The grounds: Absolutely beautiful with so many different kinds of flora. The villas: Immaculately clean, spacious and so comfortable.

If you are looking for a beautiful location with excellent service, you will be very happy at Zanzi Resort.

Kupaga Villas is located on the stunning Jambiani Beach, which I found to be the most beautiful beach in Zanzibar.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in December and it was the perfect start to our Zanzibar trip.

Wow! What a magical retreat.
I’ve explored Zanzibar and this is by far the best food on the island. Such variety from juicy steaks to crisp fresh salads.

We, a danish family of 5, spend 12 days here, and it was amazing.
Very nice, smaller and cozy hotel, with the most incredible and helpful staff.

The Oasis Residence is truly a little paradise on Earth. Everything is designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

This place was perfect. It was clean, stunning and relaxing. So peaceful and the food was nice and filling. Breakfast was especially delicious.

We stayed at the Paje Beach Apartments and Hotel from december 29th to the 7th Jan, located near the centre of Paje and right on the beach.

The stay was excellent — the staff were amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the service was outstanding. We had three wonderful days full of fun, and the kids really enjoyed it too.

Exceptional stay – highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at this resort and everything exceeded our expectations.

Was absolutely amazing. The staff are incredibly welcoming, lovely, and charming they truly make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Their hospitality is top-tier and very genuine.

Beautiful resort, quiet and tranquil.
All staff were so friendly and helpful any time of day!
The apartments were so clean with added extras like soaps, shampoos, clean towels every day.

I was looking for a resort with lesser luxury so I could afford a bungalow with me and my son having separate rooms.

We had a great time at Badolina! The room is beautiful with all the comforts well functioning. The food delicious, perfect location and cool chilling external space by the pool.

A little bit of constructive criticism here and there, but overall our experience was absolutely lovely. We felt safe and had everything in reach for me and my family.

Steve, the new grad, front desk staff, and waitress & chef were all very welcoming and friendly.

I felt completely a home straight away at Kholle House. It is a wonderful setting I the heart of Stone Town — close to all the sights and ferry terminal too.

The rooms were very nice and the bathroom was almost an entire ballroom. Only thing that was a minus was the outlet for the fan had a loose wire so we couldn't make it work the first night.

Shanuo Beach Bungalows is an absolute gem. The beach here is pristine and clean, with powdery white sand and no pushy beach vendors—just pure peace.

I spent a week at Bara Bara House in the heart of Jambiani and was blown away by the exceptional hospitality and warm ambiance. The place offers a personal vibe and a true sense of home and comfort.

Decent place for a vacation where you'll be outdoors for most of the day. Our room got hot whenever electricity was out for an extended period of time.

The staff is amazing – they really pamper you, are friendly, welcoming, and warm. We felt completely at home and didn’t want to leave. We will absolutely come back.

This hotel is a real family hotel. You feel welcome and safe. The staff from the manger to serving to cleaning are all so friendly. This is one of my better experiences I had at a hotel.

We spent the best time in your hotel. Very nice place, excellent food, nice Staff, everthing was great. See you soon. Justyna and Paweł Antczak. This is a place with a heart ❤️

Britta was very helpful organising something special for me. It’s a beautiful little place with a great location.

Was my first hostel in Zanzibar and although my plan was to visit other places I just kept staying here. From the staff to the place, everything is perfect.

The best hostel if you are looking for real connections and fun!
As a female solo traveler I felt super safe here. The hosts will help you with everything you need to know.

We stayed at Hostel 197 for five nights as a couple and had a wonderful experience. We were even allowed to check in earlier, which we really appreciated after our journey.

Hostel 197 is hands down a fantastic place to stay! From the moment you walk in, the vibes are incredible and the people make you feel welcome instantly.

It's always a little worrying arriving solo and being taken to a place you don't know — but as soon as I arrived, the welcome was superb, the staff kind and helpful, the food copious and varied, and

I stayed at zLife Hostel for one night and absolutely loved it.
Modi, the receptionist, was exceptionally kind and thoughtful.

This is a good place to stay, there is a good staff, clean room and whole environment. The service is good.
Issa is a good receptionist, care well the customer.

Friendly staff. Clean. Smells lovely. AC is amazing. Wi-Fi very good. Right in the centre of everything.
Pancakes and instant coffee included for free for breakfast was a lovely touch.

Great little place, close to beaches and town.
Friendly staff. I stayed in the women's hostel with 4 beds, shared separate toilet and shower. Was perfect for the 2 nights I stayed.

A wonderful vacation spot, a wonderful location, very quiet and peaceful, even though the ocean is just steps away. The rooms are incredibly cozy, with every detail thoughtfully considered.
