They have introduced a Spa. So worth it. Best massages I have had in a long time and very reasonable, so much so I even went twice a day.

A lovely little hotel in a great location. Has camping options alongside well priced rooms with ensuite. Hot showers for both rooms and campers. On-site sauna available on request, and a small children's playground in the gardens. Nice views from outside. Small but cosy bar inside the main building, and very friendly and helpful staff help to complete the experience. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in the mountains.

Amazing hotel with great staff and a superb garden!

They will do their utmost to make sure your stay is comfortable while you are there. Wi-Fi isn’t always working but the beauty of the surrounding’s is so great it shouldn’t be a bother.

Among the oldest hotels in Lushoto, but now it has been renovated and brought back into the game. Very beautiful environment and lots of amenities. I was surprised to find a Sauna in this place and it is well designed. The place is well designed and decorated with African antique that takes your memory back into the 80's. It is a very quiet location up in the hill. You could also make a day visit, for a cup of nice coffee, lunch or dinner. They have nice kids playground, it's worth a visit and stay.

We only spent a night but it was the best accommodation in Tanzania we came across. Personally, I felt a bit like in a hobbit village (only the doors and windows were not round). The staff were all nice and helpful and the food was delicious. Moreover, it was the only place in Tanzania where I didn't have problems with my gluten-free diet. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Honestly the best place I have ever been to in Tanzania!, The owners are the sweetest people ever and extremely friendly. They have adorable pets. We had a warm stay and the food was the most delicious!. Anyone visiting Lushoto or looking for a best place to come down for a holiday… Lawns is the one!

It's a very nice place to stay in Lushoto Town. The pace has nice gardens and engagements for children. The management couple, Alessandro and Christina, are awesome hosts and make all the effort to make things comfortable. We had a problem with our car here and they helped a lot to get if fixed. The rooms have been recently renovated and give a fresh look. The bar has a lot of history with old currency notes and coins.

Is so beautifull place, has good condition and is a piacefull place in short has a good services. Any service which you want is available.

It's an amazing beautiful place, so quite and peaceful, sorounded by tall trees with a nice view of lushoto town and also some of the hills around. The food is mouth watering and beyond delicious, the serve a three course meal and always have a daily menu. Wi-Fi is available in the dinning room and common room which are well designed with colorful African fabric The place has camping as well with hot showers The rooms are great and the price is friendly. Not forgetting the hotel is about 100 years or more for those of you who like old like me it brings back so much feelings and originality. The owners are so caring and wonderful people, very knowledgeable! And the staff are great:)

Have been here for 3 days and very happy with the service. The staff have been marvelous. I have the newest renovated room and it is just lovely. I love just sitting outside, taking in the beautiful ambience of this lovely historic Hotel.

Great staff and amazing facilities. No Wi-Fi in the rooms and the room itself is kind of basic — but the garden and balcony are very very nice.

I like the Garden and View in spite of old but they have managed to maintain the natural greenish environment of the Hotel.

Lovely welcoming hotel set in a beautiful landscape with lots of stunning walk opportunities nearby. Rooms clean, spacious and comfortable, food delicious and staff extremely friendly. No problems during our visit at all. Loved it so much we have come back a few months later for a second visit. Pet friendly too and some lovely dog walks available.

Charming 100-year hotel near Lushoto town. It's quaint with mid-century bathrooms and architecture. Good food. Free — Wi-Fi in public areas. The owners add a lot of warmth to the place. There are fireplaces and a well-stocked inexpensive bar.

Hi v stayed in lawns hotel for one night. The exteriors r nice woth all greenary around and the host welcomed us warmly bt the rooms are nt well maintained n there r no fans and ventilation. Washroom was dirty. V wr not provided with tootpaste and the hot water was dirty brown colored. Bed was half bent in middle. Breakfast was fine bt the ala carte menu or buffet is overly priced. Thanks.

New owners (since Jan 2016) of loveliest old hotel in Lushoto have done their best in making this place a great hotel again. Location very close to the center is excellent (if you want to have access to ATM, market, bus station) while being hidden on a green hill. Although we had an issue with warm water supply, that wasn't really a problem, because the young owners responded in the most nice and professional way. We especially enjoyed to spend our spare time on the nice terrasse and in the bar and lounge area (fireplace, darts, TV, Wi-Fi). We even had a very romantic fireplace in our room. Thanks for the very enjoyable stay.
