Great place to stop for some Western comfort food on a journey from Dar or trip to Udzungwa or Mikumi. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, comfortable seating and room for large groups. Great food and service. They also organize safari trips to Mikumi and have lodging available.

It's a nice place with good surroundings and fresh air I hope you will enjoy being there because of good service.

Good was great the room also the towels were hard and dingy I was scared to use walk with your own charger when you plug in the electricity all the lights shut off.

We were a group of 9 had stopped on our way for dinner food was good but the quantity was of a kids portion. Their was man waiter unwillingly took our order but never served us — we had to search for him fortunately there was a helpful lady waitress with a pleasant personality served us after two hours of waiting.

Very convenient stop-over. Good Wi-Fi. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Our company had chosen tan swiss for us. We were extremely disappointed, especially by the staff, very rude and not professional at all. Indeed, on arrival, the lady at the front desk really addressed us in an impolite manner. She looked in a hurry. Two ladies took us to our room. I asked them questions. They laughed in my face without answering me. If they do not understand English, just say it, but I think they speak it.
At meals, which were already paid for by our company, there were still drinks to pay ourselves, they demanded the money when we had sometimes not even finished and then they followed us as if we were thieves.
When they had to return change, they would throw it in our faces or on the counter. But how rude!
When we were going to ask for something at the front desk, the employees would talk to each other first in Swahili, even sometimes arguing before answering us. I did not understand that attitude.
One night, I sat in an armchair. My companion was going to join me very quickly for dinner. A waitress told me I couldn't stay there without consuming. I explained to him that he was coming in a maximum of five minutes. I couldn't stay…
The staff absolutely does not take into account tourists, who only represent money for them!

Un endroit idéal pour démarrer un safari dans le Mikumi national Park. Meet Josef, beautifully acclimated to the Tanzanian style of living, warm and welcoming. A way to feel at home while you are away. Very good experience.

Everything was good. The food was enough and it was tasty.

Had high expectations from recommendations. Its indeed a nice place along the TAN-ZAM highway. Nice pool and sitting. Yet the food was not really a revelation. If you are at a swiss operated place but have to remove the cheese from the burger, that says a lot. The other dishes were okay. Nothing special. Expected some swiss dishes like at Matema Beach, but not comparable.

It's horrible… worst hotel I have ever seen…
They provide poor service. No aircondition, no hot water in the shower, rooms are too dirty and dusty. Poor managment…

The name expresses it. A German and her Swiss husband operate this lodge. The small chalets are sparsely furnished, but this is certainly not due to the will, but to the possibilities.

Very good budget hotel on the Dar-es-Salaam-Iringa highway. Perfect place to stay when visiting Mikumi National Park. Swiss hospitality. Suprisingly good food.

Tan-Swiss is a very nice location as both a stopover on the way to Dar es Salaam as well as a safari destination itself. Good food and nice staff.

Beautiful grounds and perfect starting point for safaris in the park. Nice owners from Switzerland who would like to help or simply tell a little bit about the country and its experiences.
