Proximity to Central Business District is a positive; easy access to transportation and most services in Dodoma. The building & furniture are visibly aging. We got a front room (facing Railway Station) ; so we had to contend with the noise. Our room was dirty, a film of dust was everywhere, our balcony was so filthy that we felt embarrassed for the hotel. Customer service was average. The restaurant and pool area were kept clean. Breakfast was great. Overall, the hotel is not worth the fee charged.

Old German charm although not well mantained. Clean rooms with hot water. Nice food and perhaps the best place to stay in Dodoma. I will go back!

Very average hotel Got here to the hotel to find my room was not there and this was after 2 emails from The Hotel saying that the booking is secure. Staff kept knocking on the door which wa super annoying-even waking us up to query a less than $1 drink bill! Food very expensive for the below quality. We ended up eating outside the hotel for half the price and double the quality.

Nice but basic putty the window don't shut the knob on the bathroom door broken. Dodgey door lock, needs some money spent on the hotel.

The rooms are old. Noisy if you get a road side room. Reception staff are not the most friendly. I won't stay at this hotel again.

Quiet, good food, quick services, not congested.

I stayed here for a few days, food was good, friendly service. A nice vibe around the bar/swimming pool to kill some time in the afternoons. Rooms was roomy with a old box tv. Hot water to shower. The Hotel can do with some maintenance, and you can see that its a really old hotel. I would say this is probably the best in Dodoma.

You are mostly welcomed to vist and see the wonderfull never seen before anywhere.

Beautiful hotel, but it has started showing it's age, they will have to do the much needed repair / maintenance soon. Rooms are basic, ceiling fans are making noice, toilets are really old. They have a beautiful garden.

Nothing fancy nor luxurious at this centrally located accommodation, but it the most preferred by many including most Government officials, MPs, Executives and also foreigners because despite the fact they have old outlook, they are the most experienced in the hotel industry around, the service, the food are relatively nice. Staffs are nice, kind and professional. If you are here for business, it would be a good option for you.

Good place to relux with a friend. I went there with my girlfriend and real we enjoyed our days there. I think one day I will go there to find a new girlfriend, I think I should have another girlfriend after I have been rushed out by my late girlfriend. So if you will see me be looking to the girls don't afraid.

I selected the standard room which was clean, equipped with an old TV, and hot water was available throughout my stay. There is no AC in standard rooms. Average rate is $50 per night. The hotel is old and in need of a facelift but comfortable for a short stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring local, Chinese, Indian and Italian cuisine.

Great place a bit on the pricey side.

The room needs more mantenance especially for toilet and change the capert is too fine dust and smell.

The rooms — doors wiring plumbing and decor — need to be drastically improved and brought into the 21 century. Avoid breakfast. This is a once Grand hotel with a prime location in the aspiring capital city.

Its cool and their services are gud, when I was at Dodoma I use to visit the place.

The food here is really nice and so is the service.

Within the town centre and although everyone was quite friendly and the food tasty the building and equipments would do with some modernisation or refurbishing, cause while its called the New Dodoma hotel, these is nothing new about it as the hotel is almost colonial like (quaint).

5 stars for food I came for. Common chineese good food I eat. My order was mutton hot plate, rice. :)

Food was great eslecislly nyama choma. See if you can do farmigation to control mosquitoes in the garden.

Hotel is bit old and rooms are worn out and small. Now as new hotels are upcoming this has to renovate to attract travellers. Nice courtyard, food is nice and staffs are humble and cooperative. Breakfast is not upto mark.

Not bad for a one night stay. But for extended stays it's really not worth for the amount they charge. Rooms are old, carpet are dirty, no air-conditioning in rooms, never has hot water. Only upside is the chinese restaurants at the bottom. Amazing duck dishes.

The hotel might have better rooms but we got a very bad room. The food was so terrible.
The hotel may have nicer rooms, but we were missed in a hole. The food was awful too.

I have stayed here for two month-long visits. The hotel is very pleasant with a peaceful courtyard surrounded with rooms on three floors. There is the hotel restaurant that does good curries, and a Chinese restaurant that has a good selection of dishes. The staff are generally pleasant with some being excellent and they make you welcome. There is a small coffee shop at the front of the hotel too. There is a gym with several exercise machines and aerobics classes, if you feel like exercise, and a pool that I have not tried but looks well kept. Rooms vary in size but all have mosquito nets, desk, ceiling fans and TV with satellite channels. If you pay more you get a fridge and air conditioning. Staff spray the rooms each evening. Occasionally you will get disturbed in the night when trains pull in to the station over the road and hoot loudly for several seconds.
