Green House Hostel Hostel

Very good hostel! Staff very helpful and it is a great place to meet travelers (especially bikers) coming to & from the Pamirs. Large courtyard where bikes can be locked up securely… The staff can change currency & it is also possible to purchase camping gas for your trip which can be a pain to find outside of Dushanbe. Close to the airport and the only negative was that it was a little far out from the city.

A nice and cheap hostel. A Good place för those who like to share and get information about Pamir and Pamir Highway. If you are planning to cross Tadjikistan to Kyrgistan or China is Green House Hostel no. One.

Didn't end up staying, but purchases camping gas for a Jet Boil. Butane gas available of good quality and staff friendly. Have heard good things from those stating at the establishment as well.

The place is wonderful, staff are friendly, a lot of foreign guests, everything is clean and nice, I'm happy.

I spent here almost week, when I waited for Uzbek visa. The hostel is good. Super place for meeting other people, motorbikers, cyclists, backpackers. Nice common area. Very good breakfast — different almost every day. Staff is really helpful and nice. Only one disadvantage is very unstable Wi-Fi, but it's almost everywhere in Tajikistan.

Best value accommodation and nice receptionists. Good breakfast and clean toilets. Recommend it.

Great meeting point for cyclists, motorbike and jeep tourists in Pamir. Staff very friendly and helpful, good breakfast which changes every day, kitchen for cooking your own food.

Wonderful Hostel. It seems to be the hub for Pamir Traveller in Dujambe. The spacious common areas are ideal to chat and share experiences with other people. The breakfast is very good. The Staff amazing, friendly and helpful. They even offered us a tajik Plov night! I would highly recommend this place to all travelers!

Everyone brags about this place but really other than being able to meet so many people from around the world this place was average. No one cleaned the bathroom the two days I was there. The breakfast was small and nothing special. I would not give the hostel a five but all the travelers you meet gets a five.

I've already written a review on booking website. But to correct or add to the review more details there is not possible … that's why I'll write here.
In general, everything is at a high level: service, integrity of staff, cleanliness of common rooms (toilet, shower, kitchen). Especially our girls liked the building itself, in the past, they say, it was the house where the UN ambassador to Tajikistan lived. Decoration of rooms, carpets on the floor, quality furniture — all super. Beautifully q)
The price for a small bed (August 2016) is $9. Breakfast is included in the price of tea and coffee is always available in the kitchen. For breakfast served fresh flatbread, jam, casserole of potatoes with cheese or scrambled eggs.
There is your own small courtyard, where you can settle down with a glass of wine in the evening at a table or drive your bike and get around the engine, as the French did with us.
Administrators always try to go to the meeting, for this a separate thanks.
They also arrange transfers to the airport. From the airport to the hostel literally 3-4 minutes by car.
There were 6 of us, we had to spend the night in Dushanbe one night before the hike and one night after the hike. But the circumstances have changed and we left the route 1 day earlier. The receptionist went to the meeting and found a place for us for another night.

Great location, great staff, great heated floor in the bathroom, comfortable beds, beautiful hostel. Wi-fi not perfect but apart from that, perfect.

I spent a week in summer 2015 in this nice hostel. Everything was fine and the best. The guys were so nice, either the staff or the guests, so that I felt just like at my own home. Everything was clean and the place was really safe. This hostel is located near the city center, you can reach many sight-seeings of Dushanbe just on feet. There are only two hostels in Dushanbe. I'll absolutely choose this hostel in my next travels to Dushanbe.

I was one of the first guests to stay at the Green House Hostel and absolutely loved my time there. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the owners were so nice! I really enjoyed hanging around the house and talking with other guests and the staff. We even got to go to a great little plov restaurant for some delicious food. Dushanbe doesn't have much for cheap accommodation; this is one of the few low budget options available. I made my reservation at the last minute and didn't regret it once! One of my favorite places that I stayed in Central Asia :).
