Sleepy Dragon Hostel Hostel

Best hostel I've stayed at in Taipei. Good common space, GREAT free breakfast, quiet at night, lovely balcony view. There's even a cute hostel cat. Not really a "party hostel" — but they do have very cheap beer in the fridge and they run a bar downstairs as well if that's your thing.

Friendly and informative staffs! Super comfy. Sufficient and clean shower rooms/ toilets. Cheap but high quality of the whole hostel! Definitely coming back to here everytime when I’m back to Taipei, highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here in September. We loved it! The owners were wonderful and were incredibly helpful in letting us know what to do and where to go. I needed to get cash one night and I do not speak Mandarin. I, embarrassingly, could not figure out the ATM. So, the bartender from the tipsy dragon walked to the 7 eleven across the street with me! It was so kind and much appreciated! The rooms are very pleasant. There is an air vent at the end of each bed, which made for such a pleasant experience when we were trying to escape the brutal Taiwanese heat! Please stay here. It is near a metro stop and just added to our experience.

Very good quality for the price, everything looks very clean and the common room has a lot of space. The breakfast was quite good and the location in Taipei was perfect for me.

Not subject to the control of international travelers, the middle of the night 12 points also in the room Carnival is also no staff to stop it, arguing to the other floors of tenants.

Lovely place! Pro — awesome staff (accomodating and friendly, while there isnt an around-the-clock front desk) — chill atmosphere and homely feel (The lounge and common area is a nice place to relax at, there is self-service bar and pantry for easy access to beverages etc) — facilities (the amenities available are comprehensive and thoughtful. Shower accessories are available, allowing light packing. Handmade breakfast, etc) Given the chance, I will certainly be back here again! =)

Its the most wonderful place to stay at Taipei, I would definitely recommend any Singaporean whether single/ couple/ family to consider this 5star rating hostel, simply because its brand new environment with well equipment bathroom/ bedroom/ guest lounge/ dining area/ bar top counter/ lockers/ security etc.

Apart from the location is a little far, the other is very good, with the overseas youth Hostel is very similar, but is a bit too quiet … haha if a group of people go, very recommended!

Super friendly owners who are very helpful with planning and make you breakfast every morning. Great view on both sides and a nice, chill common room. Dorms are also nice with large lockers that can accommodate a 50L backpack. 5 min walk from night market, local day market, and MRT station. Free locks, adaptors, earplugs and cheap towel rental. Would definitely stay here again.

My stay at the Sleepy Dragon was great. I had no idea what I wanted to do while I was in Taipei, but they helped me figure that out and gave my all sorts of tips and tricks about the city. I loved the bunk beds in this hostel, each bunk was your own private space with a light and little desk that folds down. The location was great too, a 30 minute walk away from a ton of cool stuff like Taipei 101 tower, a 5ish minute walk away from Raohe Night Market and a 5ish minute walk away from the metro station.

The best hostel I've stayed in. If you're staying in Taipei Sleepy Dragon is the hostel for you. Friendly staff, cool layout which creates a great atmosphere, and the location isn't to bad (only 7 minutes walk away from the nearest MRT station) I cannot stress how impressed I am with Sleepy Dragon especially for the price! 5 star!

Great place to stay The hostel owners are taking care of every detail. They know what travelers need and provide the best solution for that. I have never stayed in such comfortable sleeping cabins which even provide an air condition inside the cabin. Beyond that there are free slipper, shampoo, rain jackets, traveler guides, … to use. I had a really good time staying at the sleepy dragon hostel.

Not a pleasant experience due to the my late check in with an unwelcoming staff. At last I didn't actually check in this hostel, I choose to pay for the rent and leave to look for somewhere else even it was late at night. I know it's me not notice the check in rule, but I was expected it to be more welcomed. There's nothing wrong with the staff or the hostel technically, but if you look forward to a friendly touch, you might be disappointed.

Great experience throughout. Clean, efficient stay all around. Breakfast was excellent, and the overall mood of the hostel was nice and relaxed throughout. So many little details and amenities that really elevate this place to such a great place to stay. 100% would stay again, Shelly and Satoru do an amazing job for their guests One note, do try to keep them informed if you are delayed like I was — they make arrangements easy for those who check in after hours and communicate with you by email.

A welcoming atmosphere and hostel. The management has put their heart into the endeavor and it shows in the little details, from the architecture of the bunkbeds to the breakfast.

Very, I would say, advanced level place. It's very clean, quiet and with nice staff. The rooms with own cubicles equipped with a cover that you can use in the night to have some privacy are great. Nice bathroom with enough spots for everyone. Beer fridge is also great as in many places you can't drink at all. Local style made breakfast by staff was very nice, but a bit smaller for me. Common areas, Wi-Fi, kitchen, …

Great little place. Nice friendly hosts who help with what to do in Taipei and generally in Taiwan. Owners have travelled a lot too. Rooms were big, beds comfy and private with curtains for each bed.
