Tainan as a city feels more like a large farm town. This hotel matches the city. It's not the cleanest but doable for one night. Definitely bring a pair of flip flops and don't walk around barefoot. The bed is extremely firm. The mattress feels more like a plank of wood rather than a mattress. Also there is no top sheet to separate you from the blanket. Not sure if they change the duvet cover between guests.
