The price is indeed cheap, but air conditioning open is the smell of smoke, if I had known would not come, preferring to go to more expensive hostel, and even went to a well-managed Internet cafes box overnight, I can accept. Evaluation of the praise is probably because the itself is not afraid of the smell of smoke, or accommodation when there is no people who smoke.

Great hotel with very helpful staff. The location is good as the hotel is right next to the train station making it easy to get to from other cities in Taiwan like Taipei. Taichung is a bit spread out but the staff were very helpful in showing us the buses to the major tourist attractions.

Comfortable place. The space is good enough but I was slightly bothered by the thin walls. Breakfast was good, they served a Taiwanese breakfast.

We were extremely disappointed with this establishment. We booked a non-smoking room. However, as soon as we walked into the room, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. We asked the front desk why this was so. They simply said that they can’t stop people who do not follow the rules. They said that they would send someone up to do something about it, and that it would take about 10 minutes. So, we walked around the town for about ten minutes and returned. While the cigarette smoke was gone, it was replaced with a different odor. Later that evening, the smell of cigarette smoke returned. It seems that people in adjacent rooms were smoking, or their ventaliation systems circulate cigarette smoke. Additionally, there are several people in other rooms laughing so loudly that it was impossible to fall asleep. Tonight, the smell of smoke is even heavier. I am absolutely irate. I am not able to fall asleep because the smoke smell is so heavy. My father is coughing and he can’t stop. We would never recommend this place to others.

Really good hotel with a great location! Not only are they located near taichung railway station, but also near outlet stores, malls, and vegetable market! The hotel was really nice. Staff were friendly and courteous. They also allowed us to leave our luggages their before our check in (because we were very hungry) and after our check out (our train was 2 hrs away and we didn't want to put it in train station lockers). Though on our last day, our room smelled like cigarettes. We called up the receptionist and found out that their hotel welcomes cigarette smoking inside their hotel rooms. So probably our next door neighbor was smoking and the smell found its way in our air conditioning unit. Otherwise, I would have rated their hotel 5 stars!

Very convenient location near Taichung railway station but the hotel room is very soundproof. The sound of the bus in the vicinity of the station began in the early morning, and it was very clear that the room was not coffee table or locker there's only one little dresser, and there's no place for fourth, and some channels are being harmonized. There should be a better choice around the train station.

The three-person room was a double room just a single bed, crowded to even luggage can not open. Bathrooms are old, the bathroom is small, the room is clean and breakfast toast and dressing are very difficult to eat. It's near the train station and the price is not expensive.

The hotel location is very good, the transportation is convenient, the room size is simple, the cleanliness is ordinary, the cleaning personnel actually must strengthen again, because the room found a can has opened already drank 1/3 of the mineral water did not clean up; the receptionist is kind and patient.

Nice hotel. I ask for standard room buat I don't know why they give me family room. Maybe because the room is full already. The location is near the taichong station. Just walking over the road and will found this hotel next to ubus. The room is clean and the bathroom using a shower no bathtub.

In addition to the advantages of near train station, disadvantages outweigh advantages. Internal and external sound insulation are not good (all night is noisy ~ ~). The parking lot is a little far away. Price ~ ~ ~ Personally think the overall CP value is not high.

The hotel has breakfast buffet included and has a great selection of great foods. The hotel is also located very close to the train station. However the rooms of this hotel are very small and cramped and are not that comfortable to be in. The air conditioning is extremely loud and the toilet is extremely small. The stay was not as comfortable as other hotels of similar rating however staff was very nice and rooms were kept relatively clean.

Location is undoubtedly convenient and very central. However, I got terribly pissed when they charged me for the extra person when they didn’t actually provide me with an additional bed. Also, it might look chic and clean, but the scariest is the bed bugs. I had about 8 insect bites in just a few days of stay. Definitely not worth coming back to.

The in-room rooms are converted to backpackers and are within a 5-minute walk of Taichung Old train station.
The counter service is cordial, a total of four floors, but only the fourth floor has water dispenser, glass table, Friendship Hall.
Men and women bathroom separate, bathroom space does not set up cabinets to display personal items.
Room with key open, room personal locker is with password, open and close, must be careful, do not go to the password, or ask the counter staff to come up to unlock, this design is not very convenient.
The lights in the room can't be turned off, only the bed lights can be switched on their own.
Bed to make your own bed cover and pillow cover. Overall the environment is clean, convenient transportation, recommended to people with budget and traffic considerations.

Cosy hotel with small lobby. My first hotel room had fly ants that flew into the room at night from the balcony. The staff were efficient and switched the room after we told them. Apart from that, the room was great. The room had a mini fridge, nicely packaged toiletries and hairdryer. Soap and shampoo provided.

Price of the people, is the sound insulation is really bad for me, may also be because the tourists are always excited to go out to play Grandhotel Pupp, not to say lying up very happy like but definitely let you have a good sleep and this point is very close to the old railway station in Taichung.

The hotel looks quite new from the outside but the room seems rather old/dated/characterless. It is comfortable though. The location of the hotel is undoubtedly great — near the railway station (the TRA, not HSR) and bus terminal. There are also plenty of food options within a 10min walk.

The rooms are average, nothing much to rave about but acceptable for its affordable price. I chose this place mainly for its location — opposite the Taichung TRA station, intercity bus station. It's a short walk to good food places nearby such as 台中肉圆， 东东芋圆， Leehuizhen bakery etc.

Quite convenient location. There are some convenient stores around like 7/11, Family Mart. It is close to Tai Chung station.

Location is good, close to train station, real close! The bus stop to major "must see" sight seeing places is just 10 minutes walk. Easy to find food, snacks and bento shops, restaurants are near by. The accommodation of the hotel is great, cleanness and no fouly smell. The breakfast provided is traditional Taiwan style, not something supreme, but good to eat before you start a journey. Worthy!

Staff should undergo more customer & service training. 2 young male staff & 1 restaurant staff were so rigid in their work that minute allowance was not allowed. Very disappointed with such service & attitude in otherwise a relatively nice hotel.

Good place to stay at for reasonable prices. Room was clean and has facilities you would expect. Liked the fact that it offers self service laundry facilities. Buffet breakfast was also offered which was decent.

A modern, newly renovated hotel within walking distance from Taichung Park. The rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. The free breakfast was good, and had assorted chinese dishes, congee, toast, and a salad bar. Staff was helpful, and available through all hours of the day. The hotel room itself was a little small, but that's probably only to my american standards. A great value.

A great place to stay and is within walking distance of the Taichung Station. It has complete amenities and has safes inside the rooms. They offer free breakfast and have Wi-Fi connection for each floor.

People are Nice & Place are clear!
