Notting Leaf B&B

For a little town like Penghu, this is a great find. While its low season and there are many 名宿 like this, this couple is very hospitable! Right from our booking of the room. They offered to book us a car when he learned that we will be driving ourselves around the island. Not many car rental companies will rent their cars to foreigners. The host called to see if we have arrived safely and if the rental car is too small to take all our luggages, he offered to have them picked up seperately! Very thoughtful and considerate! Warm and inviting welcome once we arrived! He introduced his very cozy place to us. All good but no self service laundry which we expected. That's OK as there is one self service laundrette 400m away. There is no parking space at the B&B so we have to park by the roadside nearby. However, the host suggested that we park the car just at the foyer the night before our departure for easy loading of our suitcases. We appreciated that gesture! Very well kept room. Our room had 2 beds for 4 of us. Enough space for our luggages and walking around with ease. They don't provide mineral water but there is a water dispenser for hot and cold water just outside the room. Water pitcher, cups, coffee and tea with little local snacks are provided too. You can use the common dining area on the ground floor but make sure you clear the utensils and keep the table clean. We finally met their dog on the last day before checking out after seeing so many pictures of him! So cute!

Notting Leaf is an excellent little b&b run by a super friendly host. It may be somewhat quirky to find a bit of Notting Hill in Magong, but everything has been neatly done, with a good mixture of old features and mod cons. Comfy and spacious room, convenient bathroom, and we even had a little patio. While there is no breakfast, coffee, tea and water were available all day. The communal parts are very comfortable for a break and a book. In addition, while located in a quiet area, the town centre is just a short walk away (bikes available for those who don’t like to walk). Definitely recommend!

The owner of the homestay and Ban Niang introduced Penghu's local tourism very carefully. They were very careful and helpful in terms of attractions, food and even itinerary planning. The entire building is built in a European style. The furnishings and software are very comfortable. It is a homestay worth staying in. If you can't go abroad for your honeymoon during the epidemic, why don't you take a trip to Notting Hill to enjoy Xiaomeiyue!
