Rooms are excellent. Gym on rooftop has the standard equipments. Breakfast very good on second floor restaurant with great lake view. Considering the Sun Moon Lake community which is countryside village this is excellent hotel. Room prices at Sun Moon Lake are all higher than in Taichung.

Second Floor lakeside restaurant landscape is really good, light vision plus 50 points, 399 yuan of meal dishes are very delicious, I eat tender chicken legs, crispy meat tender, very easy to enter, Pendulum is also very advanced, very good enjoyment.

Expensive, some facility are good, view are OK because next to lake. But the price is really not OK for the quality. Staff are helpful and professional though. Breakfast is good too.

No 5 star hotel facilities, the gym is very messy! And a strange smell! The Breakfast is plain! The room was very nice. That's right! Breakfast restaurant waiters are not good attitude, but also make the accommodation staff very angry! Service needs to be strengthened!

This is a hotel which I tried very hard to love but have to hate it in the end. Outside of the deluxe rooms, the standard rooms are barely inhabitable due to cleanliness issues that I am not going to repeat from prior reviews. But the deluxe rooms are truly fatally flawed for THREE things: 1) Absolutely no privacy wall between shower/tab and the main living room. Young couples without kid may find it hot. All others should feel awkward about it. 2) The bath tub could overflow and flood the main room easily. Who designed this? 3) The is the deal breaker: As an Asian, I am born to be rather superstitious. Can't help it if I am on vacation. Some smart soul must realize flaw in the deluxe rooms (which are the only good rooms in the hotel). So, to out-do the original stupidity, their put a hospital like track curtain around the bed! You can't be THAT stupid! Really! The restaurant and the bar are both outstanding if you are into Asian fare. You would not regret the visit.

Moon room has a great view of the lake. Can snap great shots in misty early mornings. But the interior of the room might not suit everyone though.

Wonderful rooms if you can get the corner ones facing the lake. The prices are very reasonable, the staff was helpful and friendly, and my wife and I loved it. I highly recommend going there on weekdays if possible to avoid the crowds nearby.

Nice hotel. Great service, clean rooms, excellent location. Regarding the lower ratings — especially the one questioning (5 stars) … This is a very nice hotel in a small town in the mountains. It's not the opulence of a big city Ritz Carlton or JW Marriott… But then again, it's in the mountains and not priced like those hotels either. It is very nice — you will not be disappointed.

Not a real five stars hotel, more likely three stars. Sewer smell in room, very modest breakfast with no western options.
