Highly recommended accommodation, especially considering its price. Honestly I don’t understand why this place has so many 1 star reviews. The rooms are comfy and of decent size, has AC, is in an amazing location, and is very cheap.
The host is friendly and very helpful if need be. The reception of the hotel is the counter of the yellow building/shop. It’s very easy to find as there is o lot one yellow building on that road. One thing to note is that it’s cash only.
Well, rooms are okay. But they try to scam you everywhere. Allegedly, you can get a special tariff for parking through them. Unsurprisingly, we paid them, and then the parking place said they don't know anything about it so we have to pay the parking as well.
I didn't take pictures but they have a bunch of signs all over the place. If you do this 1000$ fine. Some are relatively reasonable, most are bonkers.

Booked this hotel through Agoda, where it is called "King Hotel Sun Moon Lake — Shui She Pier".
The lady at reception was friendly, even though she did try to sell us ferry tickets, bicycle hire, breakfast (hot breakfast which would be delivered BEFORE 7AM and left at the door — huh? ) … Some people may find this a little intrusive, I was OK with it.
The room was OK, clean, fresh sheets, clean towels daily. Bathroom has no separation wet/dry, but that's almost anywhere in Asia at this price point.
For this price it was definitely an OK stay, considering how expensive other hotels were.
Only real downside was that the walls are thin (noisy) and our room was dark, with a window opening onto a black wall literally 20 cm behind it. So no daylight at all. OK for 1-2 nights, but not longer.
