We went here only to enjoy the hotspring. And wow it was hot! Temperatures vary between 38.2° and 44.6° depending on external conditions. This day it was very hot so they added upon request some cold “regular” water. We enjoyed it but the premises could use an update both in interior/exterior and in hospitality. Friendly people but the communication was difficult and we think it would be a great addition if they serve food and drinks. They have free tea though. And the dogs are very friendly!
Authentic onsen place, must visit!. Perfect view and vibes. I would love to re-visit again soon.

You can visit the outside hot springs without staying at the hotel. I wasn’t sure about the opening times, decided to go anyways and they were open at night, until at least 21:00. There is a warm and a super hot bath, as well as a small cold bath. The facilities aren’t the most modern, but it’s a historic bathhouse and well worth a visit for 250ntd.
