The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Advertised as a 3 star, it charges 3 star prices but is not as good as a hostel for backpackers. Dirty bathroom, broken and tired spartan furnishings, restaurant like a down market fast food joint. We had booked and paid for 4 nights… they take 100% payment 1 month before, with no refunds for cancellation after that… we stayed for 1 night only, so we forfeited 3 nights stay it was that bad… We moved to Grindelwald and found much better accommodation. Lauterbrunnen should be ashamed of this place.

Cabins are awesome, and the river and creeks running through the property are soothing. Some people had issues with their cabins and I was not a fan of sharing a shower with the entire camp. Overall though a good place to stay.

Since the hotel shooters has a very beautiful terrace, we look forward to it every year when it reopens, as the restaurant is closed in winter.
Unfortunately, every year we are disappointed again. The service runs around wildly and does not bring the order, or only after a long wait, although the terrace is not even half-full. The table is not cleared, empty dishes just stand around. We ordered mineral water with carbonic acid, we received water from the tap, which ran through a filter and smells over. Price for 5 dl = 3rd 50 CHF!
Have ordered a coup, I received two balls and cream from the spray can.
What's a shame what turned into the restaurant, I used to be there several times a week to eat, but no longer now, because it's just not true anymore.

Helpful staff lent a kettle. Free on site parking. A bit worn down but acceptable.

170 CHF per night for a double room: too expensive compared to the proposed quality. Reception only in German, basic comfort: Average beds, poor insulation (you can hear the neighbors as if they were in the room), poorly lit bathroom, no attention to detail.
Standard breakfast, no more.

The hotel was lovely, we had absolutely no problem getting there late as the key was left for us at the front door even though reception was unmanned. The breakfast was lovely, fresh bread and jams, cerial, coffee and juice, and the waitress was so friendly and helpful. Ideal for transport and in the perfect location.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, great location… Would certainly recommend and will return again thank you x.

This is a nice and cozy little hotel. Rooms spacious with beautiful views on the mountains. Standing on the balcony with a very nice view on the valley and the railway line running to the Junkfrau. Having a drink later in the evening on the porch gives the most wonderful views on the waterfall. Food typical European but acceptable. Value for money as everything in Switzerland is just so expensive.

Perfect place… we stay 15 days all included, lovely views, humble rooms and for us was excellent price quality. The staff in kitchen are fantastic Avelino and Bruno and we love the pizzas and the special steak. We will comeback in September. Thank you to all.

Realybad experience. Bathroom was old and worn out. There is never anyone at reception. Extremely low value for money.

Hotel very well placed to go skiing in Murren and Wengen. Free Parking available. Breakfast We stayed for 3 nights during the new period and will return without hésitersi the opportunity presents itself. The reception and helpfulness of the hostesses is also to be noted. A big thank you for everything.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation and the Hungarian lady on the front desk was extremely helpful in every way. Our only gripe was that our upstairs friends sounded like a herd of elephants running around. Apart from that, we couldnt say enough for the place.

Older hotel, quite charming interior, friendly staff and lovely views of the mountains if you get the right room. Restaurant reasonably priced too.

Went there twice for lunch. The views from the outside terrace are wonderful, but the inside seating is also comfortable tastefully decorated. The cheese fondue was excellent, as was their pasta, while the rosti was a little too plain. The staff is very friendly and was able to accommodate us easily in English.

Rooms tidy with only very basic amenities. Great views from Balcony. Restaurant served great local Swiss food both breakfast and dinner. Would definitely come back.

An incredibly rude staff.

The room we had was okay with nice beds and a beautiful view from the balcony. I believe it was one of the largest rooms (room 32) but when we peeked in to the other rooms they were very small and outdated. The hotel seems to have switched of ownership and the new owner seems to not know what he is doing. We heard a lot of complaints of other people, we however had zero complaints. The breakfast in the hotel is okay and the coffee is good. Overall it is an okay hotel with outdated rooms, a very small shower in the bathroom and decent beds. The staff of the hotel is not well organised at all and very chaotic. (it took 5 people to clean a table that had been used for breakfast. They took over 30 minutes to do it) P. S. The hotel was overrun by noisy Chinese at or stay.

Only there for dinner. Turns out, we were here a few years ago. They had nice tables outside, but too many smokers. Ate inside. Had Fried pork cutlet & fries. Pretty good crispy cutlet. Well fried. Satisfactory dinner and service. After dinner we took short "shuttle" bus (right in front) ride to end of Lauterbrunnen Valley towards Stechelberg. Nice ride, farms, waterfalls and tall mountain walls. End of the road.

We were at the restaurant for a quick, local dinner. We had schnitzel and sausage with onion sauce. The food was good, nothing spectacular but we were not expecting anything more from traditiinal food. The inside was very nice, with a fireplace in one corner. The service was also very good, the owner speaks french and english (+ german of course) — maybe even some other languages? We didn't ask… If you are in the area — this is a very good place for a traditional, swiss food. Ps. A tip — you can order a fondue for one person which is not usually the case…

We were very dissatisfied. During our four days we met no flexibility to requests, amateur restaurantmanagement and overpriced additional prices for breakfast and dog. On New Years Eve we have reserved at 20.30 clock and when we arrived, the manager told us there was no more meat available but hash browns instaed. The bottle of wine was served not to taste and the breakfast buffet was not a buffet and the waiter brought the menu-card after 15 minutes, has strongly smelled of sweat. For non eaten breakfast you had to pay anyway, although the breakfast was not included in the price and cost of the dog 15 — SFr in the day. In addition, the receptionwas closed at 10.00 bis 16.00 clock in the foyer was not even a chair. And all that for nearly 2000 Swissfrancs for 5 nights.

I like to vote stuff and service of the hotel. The hotel is very at home atmosphere with nice smily stuff. Hotel room is very clean and simple, basically not bath tab, only shower and, wall between other room are very thin. So, I hear people walking around and people chatting during the night, which were negative points. Except that the hotel offer very good restaurant downstairs and friendly and helpful services. Will stay again.
