The rooms were really nice for being a hostel, great atmosphere and the location is perfect. We didn't get to swim but their garden and scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I will miss this place. Highly recommend.
If I could suggest anything it'd be to bring your own towel.

I enjoyed my stay here. There is a nice Irish Bar within a easy walk. The grounds outside are nice to sit and relax. I would stay here again.

Most underrated hotel on the internet. I always love an establishment which doesn't just do things in the name of customer care but run the place just the right way. The guy who runs the place doesn't give a damn about the reviews and comments on internet. Like he says, people would either love this place or hate it.

Amazing place with young crowd all around you. A happening place to stay during a tour.

At least in the spring you are transferred to the adjoining hotel. An old, smelly hotel and candidate to be reformed or Demolished. It smells like cigarettes all over the hotel. The old rooms, the chipped walls. After 106 Swiss francs for one night they asked for 5 more for the Towels.
The hotel had better times, but its time passed. Everything is sloppy and old. I don't recommend it for one night.

For the price and considering that these in Switzerland is a very good place, the room I occupied had a wonderful view! The bed was very comfortable! The bad thing that the plugs work only which the light is on, forget to charge you phone during the night: (

Bed with board instead of slatted grate, in the bathroom there was mold on the kit joints.

Bathroom afterwards in the room! Built-in shower only 1.8m high. Otherwise, OK.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Very comfortable. You can get in at least at night. But… The room was very clean and the bathroom was clean and comfortable, the room was very clean.

The Funny Farm Hotel is simple but welcoming, and fair prices! I enjoyed my experience there and would definitely go back again.

Stayed 2 nights in a private room with bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast was good value, but the room was a bit shabby and in need of a good renovation, there was mould round the bath, and holes in the duvet cover. Although it was cheap, it was only slightly cheaper than the small family run hotel we stayed for our final night, which was much much better.

The hotel opened in 1895 and has the feel of an old classy alp lodge. I stayed with friends in the hostel and it was great. Not many outlets for charging, but the rooms were clean and ours had a balcony with an epic view of the mountains. The hotel has a nice pool and they cook out by the pool. It is a 2 minute walk to all of the bars in town. It was a very nice experience all around.

I was on the first floor of this place and I witnessed something really crazy. One drunk guy came into the place and asked an Asian girl if she had a lighter. She didn't have one and, all of sudden, the drunk guy went off the deep end and threw a cigarette pack towards the girl's face. She talked to the owner of this place and the manager but their responses pissed me off more. Apparently the drunk guy was the owner's friend and they hesitated to take any action. The owner and the manager sarcastically asked the girl what she would like them to do AND sarcastically asked her if she would be satisfied if they call police. Eventually Everyone who has witnessed this none-sense scene got pissed off and the manager and the owner apologized to the girl. Personally I think safety and security are the most important factors of running hotel/motel/hostel businesses. This place is irresponsible and does not consider customers' security to be a serious matter. PLEASE If you care about yourself and your accompanies, do not let yourself and your friends sleep in danger and do not ruin your amazing trip by choosing this hostel.

I miss this place so much, some of the best people I have ever met.

Chill staff, nice bunks, no Wi-Fi in the bunks but there is a cat that roams the grounds/lobby. Also small balcony off the room and bathroom.

Me and my girlfriend just got done with an amazing stay at the Funny Farm! What made the stay for us was the incredably friendly staff. We arrived at 12:30 pm and it was our first time in Switzerland. After setting our bags down in our hostel I walked down to the bar to read my book and get a feel for the place. The night shift employee Benji was super friendly to me and made a great first impression for the people of Switzerland. After a rough experience in our 8 person room due rude and loud roommates the first night, the hostel was kind enough to switchus to a beautiful 2 person room at a reduced rate. The staff was very good at answering any questions we had about the city or transportation. The building itself is clean, beautiful and safe with great bars and a beautiful back yard area. The only let down was that the pool was not open, but with the beautiful lakes in Interlaken it was not that big of a deal. I would recommend it to anybody considering traveling to this beautiful city.

Decent enough place. No problems, the washing machine was tiny and the tokens cost 5 Franks which was bullshit. Luckily we discovered that a 5 euro cent coin will work in its place. Spread the word!

For travelers a best and a reasonable place to crash. With great bar and dance floor.

Did not sleep there, but started for a rafting tour. The atmosphere is quite surreal and kafkaesk, especially at the pool side.

This place attracts some really great people, but the facilities can be horrible. We stayed on bunk beds that are made of what I'm pretty sure were scaffolding, with no ladders, the beds weren't exactly comfortable, the lights in the shower weren't working and the showerhead trickled water. A bit of a walk, but there is a small supermarket nearby.

Not very friendly. Quite rude staff and uncooperative. Wifi workers only in the lobby downstairs.

Can't claim this is a super nice hostel but it is cheap, friendly, has a fun atmosphere, and covers all the basics. If you're looking for an inexpensive easy place to crash this is it. Pros: -Easy to find -Inexpensive -Friendly atmosphere -Surrounded by beautiful scenery Cons: -Security (no lockers in the rooms) -Not great showers -A bit older and worn around the edges.

Excellent place to stay, economical and with good service. Great place to stay, cheap and fine service.

Even if we sleep in the "room" more bad, the complex is amazing.
