Wonderful hotel, with a great view. The staff is very nice, friendly and kind. The breakfast is excellent. If you have enough time, there are many things to do in the area, from visiting the waterfall to hiking or even bungee jumping.

Quite disappointed in this place, the pictures on Booking made it look like an amazing place, but they were just nice pictures. What this place really is, is a very nice restaurant with some crappy hotel rooms upstairs. The staff were all very friendly which is the only reason I am giving 3 stars and not 2. Our room was nicely decorated with a Cow theme, but the cow hide chair gave our room a very stong leathery/beefy smell. The bathroom was absolutely tiny, the only way to close the door was to literally squeeze in between the sink and toilet or toilet and wall. The shower was also small and the shower head could not be fixed in position, only used as a wand. Our window had a screen in it that had a large hole in it and it was only attached with tape and thumb tacks, the owner noticed this when showing us the room and made an attempt to fix it but it really needed a more permanent solution. We stayed 3 nights, on our third night when we returned to our room a tack (likely from the window) was pointed side up on the floor and ended up in my foot. On our first night we had toilet paper (we didn't run out) when we returned out second night it had been removed and not replaced, on our third night it was still not returned, lucky we didn't spend much time in our room to need it.

Beautiful restaurant! Great atmosphere, very tasty food, friendly service, beautiful views and very very child-friendly! Only recommended! Happy again Was wonderful!

This place is straight out of a storybook. Please visit it for some great coffee, super fast and warm service, and an amazing view of a jewel like green lake nestled amidst the trees. 10 stars!

My review refers to the previous management: in 2012-2013 we stayed there and even ate during visits to the construction site of our house. Back then the TV was there and probably the last review 2018 suffers from the fact that the entire hotel has just reopened, like the restaurant, for a few weeks. In addition to us we placed a couple of friends who came in the summer of 2016 and enjoyed themselves. We still have to try the new restaurant: the previous one was famous for grilling meat. Typical village atmosphere, it was the place where in the morning the artisans stopped for breakfast and was the most frequented bar by young people in the evening. It is located in front of the pond "Burgseeli" (thermal water, possible bath with acaqua at 26 degrees) which in turn is separated by a thin forest band from Lake Brienz. I don't know the prices yet.

Too bad for the lack of TV and pity that there were too many flies during the various daily meals. But otherwise really nice and very polite and good service. Good welcome. Great comfort. Very quiet area in the green. A good Hotel.

Very nice frame! A 5min from Interlaken. Room very nice, cocooning effect. Bathroom with corner bath and soft and fluffy linen! Private Parking, Wi-Fi. And very welcoming staff.

Eat great! Dignification was kind. Tip. Better to serve locals than to be captured in the service by large foreign families.

Good food but pity that the map is in German Switzerland…

The restaurant is no longer to compare with the previous the ambiance läht to a cozy meal. The heutelzimmer was also somewhat outdated and is a big difference to the Früherigen. The current owner Jnd The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We can recommend it well.

Great original ambiance. Very good food. Very friendly service. Just great. Time again when my way from Lucerne to Interlaken leads. Now look forward again to the fine tomato orange soup!

Hotel is nearby the town Interlaken… Bus no 102 (at every 30min) from Interlaken Ost (4 stops) to Anhöhe… nearest stop … then 4 min walk in Interlaken Ost direction … Family owned and run hotel. Only breakfast were served. No other meals available. Though we were offered to use the kitchen to make our own food in the evening… good coffee shop and bar. Open till late evening…
