I eaten the local fish from the second picture. It was tasteless, it's like a soft sponge. The chicken breast was hard, and the prices are expensive. Overrated because the view is excellent, and the staff is very friendly.

Beautiful restaurant right on the water front with great views. Good food and very nice service. Whether in German, Italian or English. Although spaghetti al olio was not on the menu, the chef conjured it for me. The perfect place for a beautiful summer evening. Prices typical Switzerland, so cheap is something else. But you know that when you go to Switzerland. The waiter saw that we had a German license plate and gave us four francs for the parking meter without us asking him for it. Such little things create a great atmosphere.

It was a very nice Hotel. I ate a white trout with almonds (dish of the day) excellent, delicate and flavorful, and a mascarpone to lick His mustache. The Price is adequate to the place (it is not expensive if you eat the dish of the day). They served Us in a record time. Wonderful View, terrace on the lake with the fresh wind and the green around to do the contour for a very relaxing lunch. Place to go back to.

We went to Morcote to spend the day with Kids, ristorante della posta was a great option to Have dinner. Pizzas are great, risotto very good too. Reasonable prices. Would repeat.

Quiet and sumptuous setting especially when the night falls and the Saltimbocca, a real killing. The staff a real fun and everything.
If you pass in the corner, not to miss the 5 stars are deserved on this one.

Spectacular view of Lake Lugano. Risotto with porcini mushrooms one of the best dishes around. My favorite tiramisu (called Mascarpone) of all time! Friendly waitstaff and comfy environs. Highly recommended!

Good stone oven pizza, good service and ambiance. The room is simple with new bathroom in a very old building.

Beautiful dining terrace directly on the lake! Also has seating inside, across the street from the lake terrace. I dined solo and felt very welcomed. The lasagna was amazing. Nothing like the boring stuff I have had in the USA. Great wines by the glass. Naturally I ordered a Ticino merlot. Yummy!

I cannot judge the hole menu but I will say I was happy with the food I ordered. Staff are helpful but sometimes English might be a barrier Woden oven for the Pizzas. I would recommend this place.

Breathtaking views. One of the best places to stay with excellent service and great food.

Couldn't fault it for friendliness or location. Our room didn't have an outside window. Late night and early morning kitchen noise didn't make for a great sleep but it's got to be done.

One of my favorite restaurants in Lugano area. Best if you can get a table on the upper terrace for dinner with views of lake and Italy. All the food here is delicious: apertivi, pasta, pizza, seafood, grilled meats and desserts. Service is very good. Reservations recommended. Parking can be tight in Morcote so bring two wheels if possible.

Ate here in April, superb food, great staff. We were staying at The Swiss Diamond Hotel, very expensive meals and a bit 'modern', so we looked in the village. Posta was the busiest so we gave it a try and had some fabulous meals. London prices, but great food. We're back at The Swiss Diamond again, a great hotel, and have booked our week's meals at Posta, very good and great service. You'll find several other ristorantes, some under arches, very pleasant for a drink, but none as popular as Posta. Parking on street is impossible, very easy to get a fine, so park in the covered parking, not expensive, safe and roomy.

2 orders the waiter forgot 3 things. The meat was not as ordered, the wine didn't, the pizza was wrong. Unfriendly one at that. On return of eating one was literally besieged yet again to give it a try. All in all a bitter disappointment. Maybe the waiter had a bad day. But the chef had also.

Top kitchen. Top service. Prices are ok.

Who wants to enjoy early summer during the week a dessert at half two in the afternoon on the terrace of the restaurant Post Morcote, be forewarned: when the waiter heard that we no longer wanted to feed, he was back on the sales and paid tribute to us as a result none look more. Just 20 minutes later we left the terrace again, without to have been served.
We have rarely seen such an arrogance. Never again.
