Stayed at the 3 bedroom suite — unfortunately not ideally equipped for six persons (single shower, no kitchen). Great location, though.

Reception is slow and they don't speak proper english. They have discount for many of the attractions yet they will never offer u unless u ask them about it. Room was clean and tidy nothing fancy stupid twin rooms as swiss doesn't use double beds much. Matres was really bad qulity and caused us sore back. Location is great.

Stayed now 2 nights in the hotel.

Pros: — Staff was multilingual and friendly.
-Location central

Cons: — right next door a bar with very noisy operation until 2.00 a. M.!
— Parking is unfortunately not available. Public car park use 9th — /day incl. Small walk.
— no air conditioning. Room was very hot.
— Inventory is old. TV didn't work properly.

ATTENTION: With parking and tourist tax you can still pay 40th for 2 nights. (For several nights of course even more. )

I would book another hotel next time. Price/performance is not right for me.

Good variety of meals, low prices compared to other restaurants, service ok.

The location was great and the hotel was clean. Wi Fi appreciated. The hotel is very nice. Parking far from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No elevator for access to the rooms in the Dell dependency angello.

One of the ugliest experiences of my life!
I was accused by the gentleman at the front desk of not having enough money on the card to make the reservation online (actually paid properly… I had to show them the payment with hours and digits proving they were wrong! ) in front of several people who were approaching the reception.
I would not recommend breakfast at the hotel… At the same price you get 3 in pubs not far away and the atmosphere beautiful…

It's the second time we've come and we're very happy. Clean, very nice and comfortable staff on the big square.

Very disappointed, it does not accept the smartbox while there are still free rooms by paying without the box in addition it is a day on weekdays.

We were a preregistered group of 20 people. The catastrophe began with the salad. The whole group received their salad within 15 minutes (so impossible to eat with each other). The last received the salad with their pizza. Then it took a beaten hour until all of them got their main session. I received my pizza first, unfortunately the only one at my table. The rest of the table was allowed to wait a whole hour for their food, although they had ordered the most "only" pasta. My pizza was just lukewarm when I was served. The gentlemen in the service were rude and always told us "the rest of the food is coming! ", which was absolutely not the case. After my pizza it took me a whole hour to get all the food at my table (5-table). When we asked for 30 minutes, the waiters were very rude and hostile. We were not informed at all that there was a bottleneck in the kitchen, although the restaurant was not crowded. The last two meals at my table were completely forgotten (without apology! ). After the whole mishap, we weren't even offered a coffee, nothing at all! No one really apologized either. An absolute disaster of service and kitchen! All the people around us who, without exception, all came after us, got their food in front of us! The food in itself is okay, but not really good. All members of our group would never go to eat there again and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone else! Very bad for such a great location!

Central Restaurant.
It eats well but nothing great. Good prices and on average with those that are the standards in the area.
Recommended me definitely not the first choice in Locarno.

Backyard… Quiet, but without any comfort. Friendly service in the hotel, less friendly in the restaurant.

Extremely fast operation a little grumpy but nice. The food came at lightning speed. Everything tasted good, the penne Arabitta could be a bit sharper. Rustic and clean.

In the middle of the city. Quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast. Hotel I can recommend.

I rented a room at 57CHF on the internet and when I arrived I still paid a fee of turiste… Never seen that!

The food is OK — there are better options available in the neighbourhood.

Nice, clean, and a good price. Was expecting to be in the hotel, but ended up across from it in an apartment. Can't complain because it was BIG compared to what a hotel room would have been. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was also nice and pizza was great! Would stay again.

Pros: Convenient location, pizzeria restaurant inside the hotel, convention with parking at 150 meters. Cons, breakfast prices a little high.

We made a camp in Locarno as a final class and needed a relatively cheap and good accommodation.
The hotel facilities were very old. The whole building looked like a movie studio of 1970!.
Most of the hotel's guests belonged to the older segment, which of course was not so convenient for me and my class.
On the roof terrace everyone had free access however we were more remarkably incomprehensible by the boss yelling at Italian and she waved us down the way.
The lift in the building was also not particularly reliable we stayed 2 times stuck in a week, cruel.
Moreover, we were there in the summer and it was very hot, in our class some were lucky enough to have a small fan in the wardrobe, but with us this was not the case.
We asked for a fan at the front desk, but we were constantly rejected. However, when we returned one day after a trip, there was a small fan in our room the morning buffet was nothing extraordinary but also not cruelly bad.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Its a good place, very quite in a central accessible area. Some of the front office attendants dont speak english, making it difficult for non-italian speakers.

The restaurant very good, servers not really.
But that caught up with a good plate or pizza.

Hotel in Piazza in Locarno right at the beginning of the pedestrian area. Helpful staff.
The structure is definitely large, with many "laribirinti" in the floors, with paintings and furnishings a little ' dated but historical.
Average breakfast.
Stayed the eve of Epiphany with a little dog, 84 euros in two.

Dirty and very expensive… never again. You really have to sleep with jackets. Absolutely not suitable for children, which are seen with contempt and hassle from the staff. The food in the restaurant dearest really pay 2 pizzas and 1 salad and 1 spaghetti Bolognese 100 CHF and absurd. Pizza OK. I tip to anyone. With that price you will definitely find better with cleanliness and more friendly and polite staff.

Top Preis-Leistung. Ausstattung einfach aber sehr sauber. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt zu empfehlen.

Excellent little hotel central cheap and good value.

Great location although a little noisy at night but it is in the Piazza. Breakfast really great, friendy staff and the apartment we had across the way was spacious and comfortable. Check in staff were not very informative and engaging though. Overall a great choice and excellent price.

Great hotel and restaurant. The staff are lovely and considerate. The restaurant at a very well furnished card at quite decent prices. Whether the hotel, the dependence or the apartments everything is pleasant and spacious. Free Wifi, Ticino ticket for the duration of the stay with public transport and free regional train and reduction for boats.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in for years. Food was horrific, as we were on half board I thing we got the slops. Second meal was inedible so we ate out after that. Pokey room only one power socket, no table, only good point was Antonio the bubbly waiter. Should have stayed in ascona which is much nicer.

A very simple hotel that is not lacking in charm. Located in the Piazza Grande.
The only downside is the front desk. Do not expect a smile, a warm welcome or that the receptionist will send you useful information.
If you do not know the tourism map of Ticino. Avoid asking questions outside of the hours displayed at the reception, or prepare yourself ⚡ ️

It's not really a hotel but a hostel. Rooms are super small with no bathroom (bathrooms are shared — 1 per floor), while building was rather cold, with only one pillow and no comforter. I would only suggest it if you do not have any other option to stay in the city. Additionally, the hotel was full of teenagers that spent time drinking and being loud in the common areas of the hotel regardless of other customers sleeping. Management was not friendly at all. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

I was there two years ago for one night. I had a nice room and nice stay there. Price was fair, location is excellent just in the main street, but I find staff there kind of provintial…

Awful hotel and service. I booked this hotel for my parents for the whole easter weekend (Friday to Monday) and they decided to return today (Sunday) as they didn't want to stay there anymore. They arrived in the hotel and were sent to the Dependance which is a really old building. One of the lamps didn't work and the shower towels were very small. The building is not isolated at all. Being in the middle of a piazza with bars and clubs and having people walking to the shared bathroom there is no way one can fall a sleep. The room neighbors also thought it would be a great idea to party until 5am and even though the reception was informed, they did absolutely nothing about it. When booking the price for the parking lot is added to the total sum when paying. Maybe parents were told they still needed to pay for the parking lot. Even tough they had the email to prove it the reception didn't care and my parents ended paying twice for the parking lot. The only thing that was good was the Wi-Fi. Don't recommend this 'hotel' to anyone.

They virtually stole $45 from my wife. She saw a room being advertised online with a double bed at a reduced rate. When we arrived they said the only room available was a single. When my wife explained that she paid for a double they laughed. When my wife said we wanted to cancel, they told her it would be $45. Never go here. The people are awful.

I think for a Hotel rated 3 stars there should be a bathroom toilet ensuite, NOT SHARED with other rooms. Booking using SMARTBOX made clarifications on options not possible.

No parking, extremely thin walls, very noisy, cold reception, for all that reasons a bit expensive. Misleading address, hard to find. But rather clean nice location with good Wi-Fi. Breakfast ok.
