Awesome historic family run hotel with sensational views, a stunning setting and a staff who manage to whip a smile onto your face no matter what! Loved it!

Overall impression good, which disturbed us, we consumed for our dinner over Fr. 100.00 and had to pay for Hahnenwasser still Fr. 2.50. I find that very petty. The service was friendly.

Beautiful and quiet location. Very tasty cuisine and nice service. Also the garden terrace is very cozy and you can fully enjoy the great view.

Nice for a break on the terrace, but local Tracht would be more appropriate than Dirndl outfits of staff.

The renovated rooms with balcony and a fantastic view of the Lower Engadine are outstanding. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, you are in good hands here. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace; wonderful! Eat well, maybe I'm a little spoiled! Parking free of charge!

The staff was very attentive and friendly, especially the Chef de Service, who did a great deal of work with great passion; the food selection is quite extensive, also quite refined peculiarities. Terrace you have fantastic views.
The wine sale is also very cleverly designed and the offer excellent.

We have travelled back to Guarda to the Hotel Biz Buin. The location of the hotel is fantastic. We liked the room very much — no great luxury, simple but large enough with comfortable beds. The balcony is the icing on the cake. We felt completely welcome.
We enjoyed the two dinners in the hotel to the fullest. The breakfast was great.

Monday 23.7.18 I spent with my family in Guarda. A great day. Beautiful weather, beautiful historic hotel with unique garden.
But what I wanted to mention is what we got for a service. Everywhere I looked were people who ordered or wanted to order food drinks. And yet the waiter was professional, smiling, attentive and nice.
It seems to be quite normal, but in such hustle and bustle it is extraordinary and unique. Great performance!

Highly recommend this lovely, family run hotel. This was our second holiday at Hotel Meisser, the first in winter 18 months ago. Both stays have been perfect. Lovely room, superb food, stunning location with outstanding views and such nice people, owners and staff. The choice of walking routes from the hotel is excellent and many other hiking areas are easily reachable by train.

Very clean, pleasant atmosphere. Magnificent view from the balcony. Very good mattresses! Very important!
Dogs on the 2nd floor not so suitable due to the many stairs, this should be at most on the 1st floor.

However, as a dog owner nowadays you have to be grateful to get an overnight stay.

All in a nutshell: Highly recommended!

People are very nice, location beautiful… incredible views, but waiters don't speak english and missed orders. This is not acceptable. Customers there are simply boring, the restaurant's sounds were like the ones of a church or a museum. (But this is the same in the whole region. ) Such hotels really live on their past glories, but are offering often an anachronistic feeling instead of a real vintage atmosphere.

Holidays at this almost supernaturally beautiful place. Easily accessible by public transport. The house rented a Tesla!

Lovely, upscale rooms and dining facilities with impressive views, delightful food and courteous staff in a historically preserved picturesque Swiss Village setting. The staff spoke English. Extremely quiet and peaceful get away. Great location for winter hiking/snowshoeing/tobaggoning/ice skating. Child friendly beginner mini ski lift within village. Dog friendly. Numerous artisans in town. One thing to truly consider if visiting in winter: this hotel is located in a very alpine area and the drive to it requires four-wheel drive and snow chains in wintry conditions. Road clearing was very limited! At the end of our vacation we had to leave using an auto train because the main roads were closed due to winter conditions!

Warm welcome in beautiful buildings with harmonious decor. Very good food, with focus on local and regional produce. Excellent base for walking, and convenient postbus and train links. Beautiful historic village in highly scenic area.

Poor service, as we have a wine on the alley. Unfortunately we had to pay full price. Not exactly customer friendly. Normally, you pay the peg price. So I'm not going to eat here in the future.

This review is focused on the lunch opportunities on the outside terrace of this hotel. There seems to be two areas. A deck just outside the main dining room and tables spread on the grass just below. All have incredible views down the valley towards Tarasp. I've looked at this view for many years and still enjoy each second. The menu is seasonally driven and extensive. You will not be disappointed. The beer selection includes Biera Engiadinaisa from Tschlin so you have a local choice. Nice after a hike up from Lavin. Service was friendly and helpful.

Cosy and rustic family hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. Spacious bathroom. Beds slipping very light and mattresses rather on the harder side. Hotel room quite location, but otherwise very quiet.
Restaurant with rather smaller but very good selection. Fast service. Special mention is the very good tasting rye bread. Also the Panache (cyclist) extinguishes every thirst and you have to try it!

The view from the hotel is breathtaking. Located between the rocky mountains and a green plateau. Very stunning. The hotel has free Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor seating for the restaurant, and a green grassy area with sun chairs and table tennis. The restaurant has great food and great service. The rooms are cosy. Typical alpine charm.

Fantastic small hotel in Guarda in the Engadin valley in Switzerland. The views are outstanding! The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. Staff is very helpful and friendly and there is a good restaurant on-site with an outdoor terrace.

Charming and Beautiful! A touch of old world with modern, recently renovated, rooms and suites — 5 star accommodations, service and cuisine! And, Guarda is one of the most charming villages in Switzerland. We stayed for 5 nights at the end of May 2017 and it wasn't long enough. Benno and Maya are wonderful hosts!

Celebrating our winter wedding here was the best decision we've ever made. The location, the team, the food and the village were all just magnificent! We can recommend the Hotel Meisser 200%!

We are experienced warm weather walkers but have never done any winter walking in the snow. We had a wonderful week! The hotel was lovely and all the staff were very friendly.

We had a magical week. A beautiful hotel set amongst beautiful scenery in a great location for exploring the region. We stayed half-board and the huge buffet breakfasts and four-course evening meals were superb. We spent the week walking (thanks to Benno for the excellent guided walks) and tobogganing (the hotel has lots of varied kit that you can borrow). And the library, and Parsepan cafe over the road, were great to relax in at the end of a long day outdoors. Thank you Team Hotel Meisser, you were all so helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. ❄

A hotel that makes dreams come true. Getting married in winter is n°1, but at Hotel Meisser you don't lack anything. A family business that has everything under control and leaves nothing to be desired in sympathy and offer. If you love romance, fine nut cakes and good food and are not on high gloss but a lot of arven wood, you won't want to leave here. In addition, the staff or the Meisser and Sarah family is simply top!
Can only recommend it.

Magnificent place from the incredible view
In winter you need four-wheel drive to climb to the beautiful hamlet of Guarda.

We had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. Typical local dishes. Pretty large plates. Very friendly and motivated staff.

We had very good salad and Apfelstrudel here…

The rooms and the setting were very good. However we liked least the service (especially restaurant) and the dishes were nothing terrible despite their prices high.

Was in the winter for 4 nights in the hotel Piz Buin guest. The pair of the owner is very friendly and engaged, which contributes a lot to the good atmosphere in the hotel. The breakfast is rich and includes also organic eggs. Function, allows outdoor star gushing of hot pot, a heated pool with jacuzzi. The hotel is to be classified in the category 'homely'. The beautiful Guarda (Schellenursli village) is the ideal holiday resort for individualists, who want to escape the great tourist baggage train and looking for a place where time stands still. Skiers will find easy access to the nearby ski area of in Scuol Motta Naluns.
