The Grishuna is the tip for railway fans par excellence. One gets, among other things, a map for the journey to Davos with the Rhaetian Railway, which in the summer months also serves this route with a nostalgic train, which also carries observation cars. On the timetable there is a footnote next to the departure time.
The hotel is clean and tidy, the rooms spacious and the owner friendly to the staff.
The in-house restaurant offers freshly prepared and tasty specialities from the region, which can also be booked in advance as a half-board, which makes the whole thing a little cheaper. There are also daily menus.
Even if motorcyclists are welcome, there are unfortunately no covered parking spaces for the Töff but a beautiful view of the Albula Valley from the room.
When you leave the house for the day trip, you can change a house key at a tableau in the entrance hallway, the room key that fits in any pocket.
Conclusion: venerable hotel with modern comforts in a wonderful location, not only for railway workers!

Super restaurant, nice conditions, friendly attentive boss, food awesome. We were also served with people's grmut impairment courteously super. Always worth a visit.

Now I judge not only the Atmosphere, but also the little Things and above all when it's such an artificial Perfectionism. I didn't feel comfortable and unfortunately I have already seen a lot from Graubünden also so many Bells and this Hotel is again a negative Enrichment for me.

Great hotel with very friendly service. Located directly at Filisur station. Very quiet room. Bernina Express and Glacier Express start right on the doorstep. Also only a few minutes walk from the impressive land water viaduct. The food at the hotel is totally delicious. There is also a daily changing lunch menu with excellent local food.

Next to Filisur Station. Never stayed but had breakfast while waiting for the train. Beautiful location and super friendly staff. Simple, yet delicious breakfast.

What a pleasant stay we had here. This is a cozy, little family run hotel right next to the train station. As a railfan, this was my favorite hotel. We had the family room at the top of the new addition; everything was brand new and perfect in our room. We had dinner at the restaurant later in the evening. We sat outside on the deck as the sun set on the surrounding mountains and valley. The food was delicious and the setting was perfect. We slept with the windows open, a cool mid-May mountain breeze was invigorating but not too cold. The window overlooked the tracks and the charming Swiss village below in the mountain valley; all lit up at night it was an unforgettable view. Anna, the hard working proprietor, added a personal touch and charisma to our overnight stay. She was there to personally greet us when we arrived, was there at dinner & breakfast, and saw us off the following morning. When I checked out, she deducted the cost of my wife and one year old son who unexpectedly didn't make the trip with us, even though we still stayed in the 5 person family room. I certainly didn't ask her to take off anything from the bill as it was entirely not her fault that my wife didn't go, she just did it out of the kindness of her heart. I can recommend this hotel to anyone, but if you're a railfan, this is not to be missed.

Fabulous hotel, always welcoming, a home from home, perfect for anyone wanting to visit the Engadin, Prattigau and Graübunden. Have stayed here for over 20 years.

A truly lovely location and superbly run by Anna and her team.

Although situated right next to the railway line if you go for a room with a valley view you'll not hardly hear the trains, even then, with the last one at 10pm and the first one at 6am you get a good nights sleep. Food is great, rooms are clean and well kept. Staff are always helpful.
