Very comfortable nice neat clean.

I usually don't leave bad reviews but this time I'd rather have people avoid this hotel, for their own good. I had three problems in three days. 1. Wifi is generally unreliable and the second day it just didn't work. Employees were unable to fix the problem. I didn't work that night. 2. The third night the cleaning person left the window open and when I came back the room was freezing. It was — 12 outside. There's no thermostat in the rooms, no way to regulate the temperature. I had to wait more then one hour for the concierge to show up. He was again unable to solve the problem. I asked to change room but he replied that they were fully booked. I have reason to doubt it as we were not in high season and the hotel looked quite empty. No alternative solution was provided and I slept in a freezing room. 3. I was told that breakfast is served till 10.30. When I showed up at the restaurant at 10am, the waitress started to shout (! ) at me (in German). She brought me to the concierge who told me breakfast was till 10. Apparently I was told wrong by the previous concierge. Again, no solution was provided for a mistake of theirs and I had no breakfast. All in all, not recommended at all.

We had a very good… unique drawback the cost per dog… 2 dogs, double charge, and nothing to justify it in a mat or a small bag of croquettes or bowl.

Ideal location for quick after work beer and then further.

Simple, functional rooms. Great showers and great restaurant.

Very close to the train station. Provides free breakfast. Lighting in rooms are dim. Cleanliness is alright. Has very basic shower/bath/hand wash, not face towels. There's a good nespresso machine in our room, very good! Reception was very helpful too.

For a two nights OK. Good central location.

In the middle of the city, it fits for a quick overnight stay.

A value for money hotel with essential amenities adjacent to St. Gallen rail station. Has pleasant and cheerful staff which add value to the service. Has a bar and restaurant.

Just next to St. Gallen station, near the supermarket and McDonald's, about 10 minutes walk from the old Town and cathedral, and a little noisy outside the side of the station Friday Saturday night.

Modern hotel directly at the train station. Very nice and quiet rooms.

Just next to Gallen station, near the supermarket and McDonald's, from the old Town and the cathedral walk about 10 minutes, Friday Saturday night near the station that side will be a little noisy.

Nice hotel, conveniently located. But they should not close their restaurant on Sunday.

It's ok but not sure if it's 4 stars hotel. Room was funny made but not the most comfortable. Too cold in the room, bathroom and the rest of room are in one space and sink was really hard to use and not to get totally wet. Not cheap indeed and comfort didn't follow the price.

Great place to stay and views of the city. The daily breakfast is delicious too!

A horror, no air conditioning in the room, noisy, expensive.

An overall good hotel in the centre of St. Gallen. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was an ordinary breakfast buffet. The slight downside was the fact that we had to pay extra for parking. The hotel is quite expensive, but it is expected in Switzerland.

Not to the height of a 4 star hotel Défraichi.

Very basic, does not correspond to the standard of a 4 stars, 3 at the most.
The reserved king size bed was 160!

Was clean. Staff very friendly and gave himself much trouble. Eat well tomorrow. Parking something closely but ok.

We have, thanks to 'Your Deal' to special conditions, a night in Valhalla spent, nevertheless, was the ratio price/performance is not enough. The Hotel is in comparison to other 4* houses are rather disappointing. Specially the Breakfast room seems a little inviting (dark ceiling, furnishings, unloving). Our room was bright, the bed is tiptop, we slept well. The small Nespresso machine in the room is handy. The bathroom with the small bathtub and the shower curtain (! ) at a slightly bent rod bears witness to the age of the house. The Reception was staffed very well staffed and friendly. Necessarily a room in the courtyard of the request. The direction of the station, it is noisy at night, specially on weekends.

The once great hotel has become an insult — chaos wherever you look — reception takes 5 minutes to find a reservation rooms, sometimes dirty, the once great restaurant has degenerated into an impersonal breakfast Hall — no wonder booming Airbnb!

Top Hotel, clean, friendly staff, very good food and nice room.

We had a Christmas dinner with our staff in the restaurant Walhalla and served exquisitely. Also, what came out of the kitchen was sensational.
I can only recommend it.

Absolutely central. Beautiful room, newly renovated on the 3rd floor. Super service and friendly. The breakfast is huge, have sent to even my forgotten Pulover before I had missed him.

To recommend, friendly and good comfort.
