Absolutely awesome hotel! Very friendly staff, top-clean and also family friendly. The kitchen is a unique experience per se. The promise of sustainability is not a cheap marketing slogan, but its daily goal and philosophy of life. You can feel the suffering for the hotel always & everywhere! It's a magical place. The staff are lovely and the good was exceptional. We had a work conference there this week and I just loved it.

Es war ein sehr schönes hotel in der Terracestrasse Engelberg. Jedenfalls hatte es vor einem halben Jahr geschlossen.

Unfortunately, I only saw it from the outside, but looks inviting, we were still in the Kreutergarten and it was great. Simone and Stefan.

There are no lemon carvings for mineral water. Lemon is not a Swiss product. In practice, only products from Switzerland would have. Outside wine and beer, which is available from abroad, in abundance. Na Bravo. Otherwise everything is first class.

About the friendly and competent service, the outstanding kitchen staff to the attentive hosts was the stay in the herb hotel edelweiss perfect we come back and recommend the 9 gang surprise menue with wine accompaniment, an enjoyment!

A lifetime experience. Supreme hospitality, view from the balcony was breathtaking. Good food, great environment. They got foosball faciluty. Windows is almost all the rooms for a crispy view of outside. I would definitely go once more.

High on the Rigi, only on foot or by cog railway, you will find a herbal hotel that offers dishes that are seasoned with herbs from its own mountain garden in addition to the star award. Especially recommended is the 9 course surprise menu with the corresponding wines — something absolutely special! Here applies — less is more and above all the taste counts. Here you will find food and herbs on your plate that you have long forgotten and cause taste explosions on the palate! However, the concept must promise one, this is not for people looking for mass goods, but have a sense of getting involved in the extraordinary!

The menu was the madness! Have never eaten so well. Hot tip: 9-course menu with drinks accompaniment.

A family hotel with old world charm. The owners were lovely people. The hotel has good parking. Shuttle drop and pick up service is available to bahnof and titlis stations. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Very Nice and family friendly place. It was surprising to hear that this hotel will be closed by end April 2018.

I'm short of words to write here for this property, The owner herself is an experience to have, she is helpful and passionate that can inspire you in many ways, my trip wouldn't have been the same without my stay at Edelweiss.

Excellent cuisine, slightly different than usual, but extremely tasty. The service as well as the hosts were first class. The rooms were also nicely decorated and with a great view! Sledge for free rental is also available! The only point of shortage is the bathtub/shower, through which the whole bathroom floor was wet afterwards. But still it's class!

As far as I know, it's the highest hotel open on Rigi in the winter. The room came with an herbal foot bath and a good view out to the plains of Switzerland. The restaurant is kind of expensive so I just walked down to Kaltbad. They have a hot tub, but they keep it drained in the winter, maybe they will fill it if you ask. Note that this hotel isn't on the train line from Goldau. It's about a 15 minute walk if you don't want to take the connecting train towards Vitznau.

Great stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and forthcoming. They have a free shuttle to the ski lifts. You just call and they come. Recommended!

It stinks in the restaurant, 30 minutes not served. Food did not look good. I left.

Nice place — great views (obviously! ), friendly staff and nice drinks for a reasonable price. Great stop-off for a warm drink in the snow.

Simple and clean rooms. The view from the balcony is really good. The downside is that you have to hike in potentially slippery slopes to get to the hotel, unless you have a motor vehicle to get you there. Very family oriented hotel, lots of fun things for the kids to do. Staffs are very friendly as well.

A very fantastic & wonderful hotel to stay in especially those with kids. Provide a pool table, table soccer, X-box video games, & etc for em to spend time. Felix & colleagues were fantastic. 1. Things work in spite of the dated hotel facilities. Hosts Peter and Suzanne keep the place running for last decades. 2. The 2 au gratis tours are great: an hour plus drive around the village, a cheese factory and the top of the cable car; and a 3 hrs walk along the River Aar where Suzanne showed her local lore and love for the lovely river. 3. We were disappointed with the Italian restaurant in lieu of the meal usually served at the hotel — surly service and no choices apart from pasta and pizza. 4. We did not have a tour inside a historic 300? cottage where we were served a macaroni dish allegedly made with 3 organic cheeses, topped with caramelised onions with a spartan salad of few leaves costing 40CHF including the transport of 20mins uphill. 5. Walks around the hotel are many and full of surprises — a grotto visited by nuns, churches aplenty and friendly locals. 6. Hotel staff are helpful, friendly and service always with a smile — they and the hosts made our stay.

The owner of the hotel is a wonderful lady with very kind heart. We reached hotel around 12 at night and she welcomed us with wonderful cup of tea… and her "kukoo" voice is unforgettable… thanku lady for ur awesome hospitality… will come again for sure…

Sweet spoken lady received our group (yatra) herself at 2 km away from hotel, her husband and boy managed the luggage placed safely in the van.
Amazing thing was most wanted Indian tea was the welcome drink, humourous brief of hotel by the owner lady.
Living we have very good, food delicious and most ever the concern we delivered that she provided us hand glubs.

Our stay was fantastic! All of the staff were so warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming and really made it enjoyable. The beds were very cozy and the view from the room was amazing! The hosts went an extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Definitely would return and stay here, highly recommend this place to everyone!

We've spent 5 days with 2 small kids at Edelweiss Hotel, half pension, in February 2017. We had: * Beautiful view from EVERY window, * helpful and kind service, * shuttle service to and from the train and cable stations, * great kitchen, pleasant breakfast and varied dinners SUPER CHILD FRIENDLY! For the kids there are 4 play rooms from Fußball table, xbox station, to duplo, doll room and a large varieties of toys, for all ages something really. There was each day an hour activity (crafting and building), when we could leave them and have a breath to ourselves in the afternoon. After dinner there was another hour or so they could spend with the other children, but as they are small still, we just brought them to bed. There is sauna and jacuzzi too, the kids had a pool party at some point Super place for families! We also like to thank Marisa for being that nice with the children, they've grew very fond of her!

Marvellous hotel, superb food, delightful owners, helpful and friendly staff. Incredible views of the surrounding mountains. Easy to get to and from ski lifts. All in all a perfect stay. Thank you.
