I'm in shock and absolutely disgusted by the audacity that the hosts had to offer us a house in such horrible conditions. As soon as we entered, the stench of moldy laundry overwhelmed us to the point we got nauseous, and when we entered our assigned room it was even worse. The "clean" sheets provided smelled like a mix between sickeningly sweet softener, hair grease and straight up mold. The pillows were absolutely non existent when it came to supporting our necks during the night. We struggled to fall asleep due to the stench surrounding us and when we woke up, not only we felt like our necks and backs were broken but also, after leaving the house we brought that stench with us throughout the whole trip back home (8 hour drive! ). I have never in my life felt so uncomfortable and disgusting after spending the night at a hotel/hostel/airbnb. This was an absolutely horrendous experience.
I understand this is a cheap accomodation solution, but no amount of cheap is worth going through this.
