Hedenstugan B&B Hotel

Super experience with Stef at Hedenstugan B&B! We stayed 2 nights and it was a great start of our Sweden trip. Good knowledge of the area and good dinners too can be accommodated. Nice walks in the forest just next to the B&B and great walks closeby with a short drive.

Great place in a nice location. I liked that there was quiet and nearby the forest. The house looks small from outside, but it's big inside. Rooms were clean and fresh looking. And of course the host is nice, polite and good communicator.

This inn is the picture of peace and quiet. It is immaculate and loaded with charm and historic character, but with all the modern trappings you'd expect, including car chargers and excellent showers. Our room was bright and airy. We were in Sweden from Canada partly for work, with a scrambled schedule and early morning drives into Gavle. Stef and his family were helpful and accommodating. We did manage time for a lovely evening stroll into the village during our four-day stay, but had to skip the many kms of trails and bike paths surrounding the B&B. Too bad. They looked highly inviting. The coast is nearby, including a fishing port with an acclaimed restaurant. This really is a postcard place — and incredibly quiet.

Beautiful traditional Swedish Country house hotel in very peaceful countryside surroundings with a perfect host. He cooked a meal for us on our first night. Very modern and tasteful inside. Within 10 to 20 minutes drive to local shops, pizza and two nice restaurants.

We had a great stay at this bed and breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful area. You can make different kind of walks near the hotel.
It has a good breakfast in the morning (even homemade smoothies one day).
The room was nice and cozy. And the beds are good.
I would recommend this place.

Beautiful building in a peaceful location surrounded by forest but close to seaside and great lake for swimming. Very friendly host with lots of ideas of lovely places to eat and visit. Spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean room. A real gem of a place that I would highly recommend.

Stef and his lovely family are simply awesome. Being a fellow Dutchman we easily connected although any guest that came in had the same experience. His experience and knowledge within the travel business makes sure that your stay is absolutely on par. Since we eat vegan and explained on arrival, he jumped in his car and rushed to the store and got us 4 great days with lovely food and attention to details. The rooms are perfect. Although we still had singel glass panes (it's an old but beautiful building) the room was nice and warm with — 18 outside. As I write this, new triple glasing windows are being installed. So, even more comfort from these days on. Stef also gave us great advise on local trips and we even went skiing for a day, which is an hours drive, in Kungsberget. We did a small hike with — 6 and half way there is a fire place and shelter. We spend 4 hours burning a great fire, enjoying the beautiful scenery and eating our vegan sausages. We even saw a wolf paw in the snow which was exhilarating and huge compared to the biggest dogs we know. Don't spend a night, spend a holiday with Stef. It's so worth it.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful B&B. Very friendly owner who gives you ideas on where to eat and what to do. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Foos was good. Nice area to eat and go to the sea. Would recommend to go and visit here add this to your tour of Sweden.
