The apartment I had was nice and spacious and well furnished. There was a decent size fridge and also a microwave that doubled as an oven. The bathroom featured a bit of an odd shower, but it wasn't a problem. Hot water was always available. There were blackout curtains that actually covered the whole window area, which was nice.
The compound is quite pretty, with several nice features that I didn't actually utilize (such as outside sitting areas, hammocks and a pool). There was always plenty of parking up front. There is a large grocery store diagonally across the street, which is very convenient. One can pay with dollars and euros and they even take credit cards, but charge a 6 % surcharge for those. Most places in Suriname just straight up refused to take credit cards.
One thing maybe worth clarifying is that there is no washing machine in the apartments, but you can arrange to give your laundry to one of the cleaners who will do it for you for 300 SRD (about 8 USD). Given that this included drying, I thought it was quite reasonable. Unfortunately, there was a power outage after I handed in my laundry, which caused a delay in completing it, but I got it back soon after the power came back.
Overall I enjoyed my stay here. A particularly nice touch was that there was some food and drink in the fridge when I arrived relatively late and without having had a chance to eat dinner.
